  1. Poole have indeed turned their season around, just shows how wrong Poole fans were pre season with their strongest line up for years. Can't remember what SS said he'd do if THAT Poole team didn't win the league??, hopefully he will remember what he posted and honour it.
  2. C Harris must be made of rubber, some of the most awful crashes I've seen have involved Harris, and every time he's walked away.............thankfully.
  3. great meeting with good fast racing, Wolves seemed to fold after the interval, on the plus side a very decent crowd.
  4. With all this good dry weather we are experiencing some dust can be expected, but there is never an excuse for having a track with more bumps on it, than the combined maternity wards of the UK
  5. cookie went back to the set ups that got him into the GP's, PJR tuning etc, etc, tonights results showed he is right to go back as do a fair few riders.
  6. couldn't agree more, a late starter maybe, but he's deffo there now.
  7. is there a presidence here, season 2017. Unfancied team sweeps all before them to win the league, season 2018 ...............................................................................ditto, maybe.
  8. Agree with you up to heat 7, then we enjoyed a great meeting.
  9. Come on Starman what do you expect opposing fans to say on a speedway forum, Poole change riders more often than banks change money.
  10. We were the only team to win at Rye, so the points deduction hits us harder that the rest. Having said that I still would rather a healthy Rye to be still competing.
  11. when your No 1 scores 1 point, the team normally lose, and they did. pretty much gate and go 1st half of the meeting but came to life after with some great racing. Great result for the Aces, expected better from Swindon.
  12. Speedway in the UK has spent far to long with promoters looking after own interest, look around at the dropping crowds and the notable absentees are the younger generation. When Sky 1st got involved the BSPA missed a massive opportunity of reaching the newer younger speedway fan. They should of worked together for the future of Speedway in the UK and used Sky as a massive advertising tool to attract new fans and old fans back to British speedway. The standard at Belle Vue has not dropped it's increased tenfold, but the younger generation are still not there. They are the future of British speedway, if we keep missing them of the radar, then this long sloping road we are on will soon bottom out and Speedway with it.
  13. innocent people have been accused of disturbing and serious crimes, then spent the rest of their lives hiding for fear of retaliation. Anonymity should be paramount until guilt is proven.
  14. Sorry you misunderstood my post, I have no wish for any club to fold and every effort should be made to help such clubs, especially as bad decisions and rule tinkering by the BSPA are mostly to blame, however the present season will still carry on, and you know full well that all supporters on here and those who don't come on here still want there club to finish in the top 4 then hopefully carry on to win the P/Off's.
  15. As Belle Vue are the only team to win at Rye this season, we stand to lose more points than the others, every effort should be sort to keep Rye in the Prem for the remainder of this season, if they choose to go down a league next year then sobeit, but these fixed race nights are not working in British speedway and that includes Belle Vue.
  16. Your first post is the one that matters.lol
  17. With the NSS being such a fair track I never feel confident of a big home win, but win we should. 3pts to the Aces and 1 to the pirats
  18. Bit harsh on Drozdz, he got injured in his second meeting in the UK (Swindon) and spent the next 28 days out of UK speedway, he is still finding his feet in this country and after a handful of meetings I think it's to early to pass justified judgement on him. That's my opinion, I respect yours. Been to the OTA only once and my opinion is that it is a fantastic speedway circuit, I was a neutral on the night and really enjoyed the racing.
  19. So cookie only won because the opposition was dire, yet Max finishing 3rd qualified because he rode well.?
  20. what did you say about heat 9 in the post I quoted, nothing! What did you say about Dan Bewley in your post I quoted, again nothing. the only thing we agree on is the numbers attending the meeting, was very poor and must be a worry for our promotion, however I would hazard a guess that it was that poor mainly because of the celebrations in the City for the blue half. As for our super duper track, it's because it's super duper that it gives the riders confidence to race, as was witnessed in heat 9 So to quote yourself (only I wont be as rude as you). Read the post.
  21. Wow, I knew you were bitter but are you sure you had the TV on. there was more passing in heat 9 than you see all season down south, Dan Bewley beating T Batchelor twice from the back just fantastic, the 5-1 in heat 14 had the fans on their feet and if that had of been your turbo twins in years gone by we would still be hearing about it. Yes the attendance was very poor, a mixture of Monday night speedway, it being on the TV. and as Mr Fundin as pointed out Manchester City were on their victory parade. Hopefully the powers that be will realise that they are killing speedway over here, change the race nights to suit all fans (not just the chosen few) and let profesional people run our sport.
