Belle Vue v King's Lynn 06/08/18
hyderd replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Great meeting with heat 11 out of this world. dissagree with some comments about heat 15, Dan was our best rider on the night closely followed by Max and Rowan, I think ML made the right choice in heat 15 but in the end we were beaten by the better team. Well deserved win for K/ Lynn,. I think we can put this season to bed and come back stronger next year, assuming there is a next year -
Poole v Leicester. Prem B. Thursday 9/8/18

Poole have indeed turned their season around, just shows how wrong Poole fans were pre season with their strongest line up for years. Can't remember what SS said he'd do if THAT Poole team didn't win the league??, hopefully he will remember what he posted and honour it. -

C Harris must be made of rubber, some of the most awful crashes I've seen have involved Harris, and every time he's walked away.............thankfully. -
great meeting with good fast racing, Wolves seemed to fold after the interval, on the plus side a very decent crowd.

Swindon should be deducted points.

With all this good dry weather we are experiencing some dust can be expected, but there is never an excuse for having a track with more bumps on it, than the combined maternity wards of the UK -

Belle Vue v Somerset 16/7 BT Sport

Agree with you up to heat 7, then we enjoyed a great meeting. -
Come on Starman what do you expect opposing fans to say on a speedway forum, Poole change riders more often than banks change money.

Speedway in the UK has spent far to long with promoters looking after own interest, look around at the dropping crowds and the notable absentees are the younger generation. When Sky 1st got involved the BSPA missed a massive opportunity of reaching the newer younger speedway fan. They should of worked together for the future of Speedway in the UK and used Sky as a massive advertising tool to attract new fans and old fans back to British speedway. The standard at Belle Vue has not dropped it's increased tenfold, but the younger generation are still not there. They are the future of British speedway, if we keep missing them of the radar, then this long sloping road we are on will soon bottom out and Speedway with it.

innocent people have been accused of disturbing and serious crimes, then spent the rest of their lives hiding for fear of retaliation. Anonymity should be paramount until guilt is proven.

Sorry you misunderstood my post, I have no wish for any club to fold and every effort should be made to help such clubs, especially as bad decisions and rule tinkering by the BSPA are mostly to blame, however the present season will still carry on, and you know full well that all supporters on here and those who don't come on here still want there club to finish in the top 4 then hopefully carry on to win the P/Off's.

As Belle Vue are the only team to win at Rye this season, we stand to lose more points than the others, every effort should be sort to keep Rye in the Prem for the remainder of this season, if they choose to go down a league next year then sobeit, but these fixed race nights are not working in British speedway and that includes Belle Vue.

Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirates 25/6/18

With the NSS being such a fair track I never feel confident of a big home win, but win we should. 3pts to the Aces and 1 to the pirats -
My friend and I both said the same thing, it would make the winner unworthy of the GP wild card had Lambert broke down in the final. Cracking final though between Lambert and Bewley. Congratulations to Robert Lambert 6 straight wins says it all, I get the feeling he will be changing his mind as to where his favourite track is.

if you say so.lol

Bit harsh on Drozdz, he got injured in his second meeting in the UK (Swindon) and spent the next 28 days out of UK speedway, he is still finding his feet in this country and after a handful of meetings I think it's to early to pass justified judgement on him. That's my opinion, I respect yours. Been to the OTA only once and my opinion is that it is a fantastic speedway circuit, I was a neutral on the night and really enjoyed the racing.

So cookie only won because the opposition was dire, yet Max finishing 3rd qualified because he rode well.?
