  1. Looks a cracking team, my only concern would be Dan's fitness. After such an horrific injury (A) would/will he be fit for the start of the new season ??? and (B) will it affect his confidence.?? If he needs another month or 2 before starting his return to action could we bring someone in on a temporary contract, ie Rowan.
  2. Really can't see Belle Vue riding on any night other than Fridays, crowds were very poor last season riding on the Monday nights, when compared to the 2017 season when we rode on our favoured night Friday. Our promoters are through and through Businessmen, I can't see them bailing out again, for another under supported season. Cookie is not in the GP's this coming season and Max is only 2nd reserve, so assuming we start the season including both in our 1-7 Friday night's at Belle Vue should be fairly easy to sort out. Finally I for 1 would move heaven and earth to get Max back next season, he is so entertaining round the NSS.
  3. one off meetings on TV don't reflect the full season, at my home track it's more racing than team riding hence I don't really know.
  4. Rider of the year - Dan Bewley Most impressive team - Kings Lynn Team rider of the season -not sure on this One to watch -Dan Bewley Bulldog award (Best British rider) - R Lambert Meeting of the season - Any at the NSS Surprise of the season -Poole being at the bottom after all the pre season hype from certain Poole fans Underperformers (Team) - Leicester, mostly through bad luck Unluckiest rider - S Worrall Newcomer of the season -F Jacobson.
  5. must say you've surprised me there Phil, 2 teams and no mention of Cookie or Stevie.
  6. hopefully enough teams will ride the Prem again next season and the powers that be give a decent team average for promoters to work with. I would like to see at Belle Vue M Zagar, C Cook. S Worrall, M Fricke, D Bewley (hopefully he will be fully fit). Stephan Nielsen and all teams to have a junior at No7 K Bickley for us.In the juniors heats they must face the opponents No 7 each time.
  7. that's correct, recently for the first half of the meeting it tended to be follow the leader after lap1 turn 2, close fast racing but still follow the leader, the second half is when the track slickened off and came to the riders, then the riders produced excellent racing.
  8. I wouldn't call a patched up team the best of the rest. The records will show Poole as 2018 league champions, the question was, are they the worst team ever win the league. IMHO yes.
  9. Yep,That's what the records will state, but they won't tell the whole story.
  10. there are plenty of couples who go and only buy 1 programme, so yes there could be a problem.
  11. congratulations Kings Lynn on an emphatic victory and progress into the final. Personally I feel downbeat that the victory was gained with a very weakened Belle Vue, but one can only beat whats there to be beaten. As for the final I think Lynn are to strong for Poole and weather permitting will win their 1st title over the 2 legs.
  12. Weather looks good for Monday Phil, hopefully the stay away fans will come and support both teams in what should be a superb meeting. If the track is anything like it's been recently we will need our gating boots on to build up a useful lead to take the Lynn.
  13. and the NSS, is NKI ok to ride or still injured. If he is still injured that evens the teams up, if TP is not fit to ride then it's advantage to Belle Vue. Such a massive shame we can't see 2 full strength teams battling it out, but as they say. That's speedway.
  14. the track has been a little strange these past few meetings, 1st half being pretty much gate and go, still fast and fairly close but not much passing, the second half tends to make up for it with the racing lines coming and the racing out of this world.
  15. Libel talk is that. and coming from a fan whose team have chopped and changed all season, perfectly within the rules you would say, well so is R/R for a rider withholding his services.
  16. The problem was that Lemmo had to do something as Jay wasn't cutting the mustard especially on our travels, and his low average didn't give us much choice as to who to replace him with.Hindsight is a wonderful thing, pity it's not boxed and freely available.
  17. I ain't no Dr, but I would hazard a guess that to do the things he did he must have a sick brain, this cannot be cured but can be treatable with medication. The problem though is that when such people are released from Prison (on licence) some stop taking the meds and often reoffend . Personally I would keep them in a secure Hospital where they have to take their meds and keep the rest of society safe from these sick people.
  18. The GP's have the best riders in the world battling it out for the title of the worlds best rider, tracks pay an important role in making the GP's fair, safe and entertaining. Last night was pretty dull and any would be new fan/s will probs not bother watching/going again
  19. Just excuses from the ref and the FIM, the rule states that riders must be at the gate ready to race inside the 2 minute time allowed, 3 riders were not ready to race, 3 riders should of been excluded but that would of made a mockery of the sport so they chose Woffy as a scapegoat, as he was furthest away from the tapes. IMHO all 4 riders must make their way to the tapes when told to, no gardening allowed and the race starts. End of.
