Lambert to comeback stronger.?
hyderd replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Lambert is awesome round the NSS, I would go as far to say he is a match for anyone there, if he could take his NSS form into the GP'S then I would say he could be a top 8 rider on a regular basis. But and this is massive, any world champ needs to be able to gate regularly. And there lies his problem. PS I can't believe you have put Lidsey (who I rate highly) before our own Dan Bewley (who I rate higher.) -
This is very true, a top speedway rider should be the aim for all up and coming young riders, SGP is their ambitions (or should be) and SGP tracks are big, fast and mostly well prepared. The NSS is one of the best tracks in Europe and should help our young stars of tomorrow to be better prepared for racing over there. I personally think B Kurtz will kick on now he has a track he can trust.

Jaymon has just turned 21 last month, last year was his first in British speedway where he held his own at the NSS, yes he struggled at other British tracks, but so does every other young rider in their first season over here.Don't forget that Jaymon only rode in the Premiership, so a pretty tough 1st season, don't you think. If he continues to improve at the NSS, and also on the away meetings he has the potential to become a regular in the GP'S.

Wow, I think you will be in a very small minority with you opinion of J Lidsey, which you are perfectly entitled to.

Betting markets are often wrong, Swindon's top 4 are the strongest in the league, if the other 3 riders step up to the mark, then look no further than Swindon for top spot. Belle Vue do look good from 1-6, J Etheridge hopefully will be a good number 7, PK needs to bring his former form with him, time will tell.
-
Hope he does stay for the season, but our wonderful summer months could have a say in the matter.
-
Am liking the look of P/Borough now they are complete, strong reserves always makes a difference and P/Borough have that. 1 Swindon 2 P/Borough 3 B Vue 4 Wolves 5 K/Lynn 6 Sheffield 7 Ippo
-
Possibly Tungate, the rest are past their best, but could at best hold their average.
-
If and it's a big if all riders stay fit, and all clubs stay with their starting 7 then my prediction is 1 Swindon 2 Belle Vue 3 Kings Lynn 4 Sheffield 5 Wolves 6 Ipswich 7 Peterborough If Peterborough can find a decent 6 pointer and 4 pointer for their final 2 riders, meaning they will have good reserves all season. Then I see them at 5 maybe depending on a certain NP even 4.

People still buy houses near major Airports. A speedway meeting typically last about 2 hours, roughly in those 2 hours there is 10 mins warm up in the pits 30 mins rider announcement and music 2 mins pit to gate inc gardening 15 mins racing. So in a typical Speedway meeting there is less than 1 hour of interrupted noise once a week/fortnight. Not a lot of noise really is there.

Didn't do Poole any harm

Didn't see that coming, welcome back to British speedway Jason Crump, really looking forward to seeing you at the NSS this coming season. Hopefully he will have a great season for Ippo, and prove all the doubters wrong.
-
IF it happens, then I can't wait to welcome Crumpie back at Belle Vue when P/Bourgh are in town, pretty sure he will/is saddened about the forthcoming closure of the old dog track, but I bet he will love riding, (even at the back ) At the NSS.

I thought that it is now the law that all businesses have to have suitable access for disabled people, so are the promoters of Peterborough breaking any access law. ????

good few years younger than Hancock, if NKI could gate as good as hancock and had bikes as fast as Hancock, NKI is still talented enough to rule British speedway along side Doyle, the question is "does he want to"
-
Totally agree. Bora top.......................of pi**ing off the Blue badge holders Belle Vue bottom.........Of pi**ing off the blue badge holders

PK is just filling in till KB comes back.

2016 was the WTC Final and a sell out, not sure whether the semi was a sell out though, the weather played a part in that.
-
Hear what you are saying, but this one is the final, not qualifier.
-
at a guess I'd say advance ticket sales and costs will decide whether or not to put the stand up again. Hopefully they do, I was sat in the temp stand last time surrounded by Polish fans, the atmosphere was was fantastic.

Not if you ain't got it.

No argument regards Doyle and Batch, but Jensen and Wright are closer then you say if we count both leagues. Wright has a 0.54 better average in the Championship, Jensen has a 0.82 better average in the prem, put them together and Jensen's total average is 0.28 better. Wright gained his Prem average over a full season riding for the weakest team. Jenson gained his over a big part season riding for the strongest team.
-
Swindon's top 2 yes, 3 no, any half decent rider who comes into a team with Doyle and Batchelor as the top 2,will/should improve, as Jenson did. But he is not head and shoulders above Wright.

Doyle..............................Swindon 8.96 Andersen.......................P/Borough 5.79 King...............................Ipswich 6.65 Lawson.........................Sheffield 5.63 Cook..............................K/Lynn 7.58 Lidsey............................B/Vue 5.16 Nicol.............................Wolves 4.00
