  1. Polish media saying today the rain is providing problems for the end of the season matches......below has been translated from Sportowefakty For now, the state of natural disaster does not apply to Wrocław, but the situation may change at any moment. The situation in this city is so serious that Monday's football match between Śląsk Wrocław and Stal Mielec has been postponed . A similar decision may soon apply to Friday's speedway match between Betard Sparta Wrocław and ebut.pl Stal Gorzów . In this case, such a decision may cause a bigger problem for the competition authorities. Theoretically, the speedway season was supposed to end in Poland on September 29. Usually, the weather in our country deteriorates at that time, and frequent rain and lower temperatures make it difficult to hold speedway matches at a later date. However, the risk of flooding in Wrocław means that simply postponing the key matches of the season seems like a fairly optimistic solution at this point, because it is possible that all subsequent speedway matches in Wrocław will be canceled. Already last week - due to rainfall - the semi-final of the PGE Ekstraliga in Wrocław did not take place. The reserve date was set for the next... Friday, and the first final match was to take place on... Sunday. Both matches could theoretically take place in Wrocław. However, the president of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, is appealing for the matches to be cancelled, regardless of the government's decisions. The threat of a state of natural disaster, and consequently a ban on mass events, may make life even more difficult not only for the fans and activists of this club. Without a resolution to the semi-final competition, it will not be possible to hold the decisive matches for the gold and bronze medals. The rivals in the fight for medals are Orlen Oil Motor Lublin (for gold) and KS Apator Toruń (for bronze). - We do not want to even discuss such issues at the moment, because the most important thing is the safety of people and the entire region. We are in constant contact with the city authorities and PGE Ekstraliga. The flood situation is very dynamic and unfortunately is changing for the worse - admits Sparta spokesman Adrian Skubis. There are many indications that Wednesday will be the day of reckoning for Wrocław, and that is when we will find out whether the city will be able to avoid flooding. Sparta Wrocław's situation is not enviable, because about 160 meters from the stadium walls runs one of the main flood channels of the Odra. Therefore, there is a serious risk of flooding the stadium. However, the threat of flooding alone could torpedo the club's plans and the entire competition. - We currently have several variants prepared and we are waiting for further developments. Perhaps we will find out the answers to several questions on Tuesday. Our priority is the safety of fans and residents of threatened regions - commented on the matter, PGE Ekstraliga president Wojciech Stępniewski . The problem is big, though, because final matches always provide the biggest cash injection for clubs and significantly improve their financial situation. It's no wonder that clubs want them to take place on consecutive weekends. Motor Lublin, on the other hand, probably won't look kindly on playing the decisive match for the championship away (in the event of a change of hosts for the final matches). The problem, however, is not only the prospect of flooding in Wrocław, but also a significant rise in the level of groundwater. Even such a situation could put the Sparta Wrocław speedway track out of use for several weeks. Then the Wrocław team would have to play... away to advance to the finals and possibly a home match for a medal. The problem may not only concern the match involving Sparta, but also the potential clash between Stal Gorzów and Apator Toruń for third place. According to the plan, the match was to take place this weekend in Toruń, and the return match in Gorzów next week. If the match does not take place this weekend, the next chance to play it will not be until next week, because the Grand Prix authorities will take over the venue from next Monday. It is also difficult to talk about changing the hosts, because the Gorzów team would like to celebrate a possible bronze medal at their own venue. There are only slightly smaller concerns about Friday's clash between Innpro ROW Rybnik and Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz in the Metalkas 2nd Ekstraliga . Rybnik has not yet been declared a natural disaster, but the mood could change at any moment. In addition to all this, there is the fear of a sudden drop in temperature in Poland and possible problems with organizing further matches on other tracks due to rain. In turn, the ceremonial PGE Ekstraliga Gala is planned for October 11, at which the speedway season in Poland will be officially summed up. So there is not much time.
  2. From Sportowefakty ....... This shocking information was provided by Marcin Kuźbicki via social media . - Bartek Zmarzlik will not take part in today's GP. The reason was incorrect Kevlar in qualifying - said a Eurosport journalist. Bartosz Zmarzlik did not have with him in Vojens the suit dedicated to Grand Prix tournaments, which has a plastron on the chest imposed by the organizer of the series. For this reason, he was excluded from participating in the competition. Other speedway riders stood up for the Pole, including: the cycle's runner-up , Fredrik Lindgren , but the organizers remained adamant.

  7. https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/1072047/zawodnik-nie-uniknie-odpowiedzialnosci-po-ataku-na-kibica-czekaja-go-powazne-kon Tai Woffinden may have serious problems after Friday's knockdown of one of the Fogo Unia Leszno fans. The fan who stepped on the seat belt has a broken arm. The League Adjudication Committee, and possibly the police, is to deal with the matter immediately. Even on Friday, many fans treated the whole thing as a joke, but Tai Woffinden may not be laughing in a moment. Fogo Unia Leszno sided with its fan and demands severe penalties. A similar opinion is shared by some fans and speedway activists. Not only financial penalties are possible, but even suspension of the player for several matches. Let us remind you that just after the hit match between Fogo Unii Leszno and Betard Sparta Wrocław (48:42), one of the home fans was so happy with the victory that he jumped out of his sector and ran straight to the visiting team's sector. There he waved a scarf and provoked Sparta fans. He was unlucky, because at the same moment her players appeared under the sector of their fans. Tai Woffinden didn't think long and seeing the fan's behavior, he threw him to the ground. The impact was so strong that, as confirmed by the Union authorities, the fan now has a broken arm. Only then did security personnel react and take care of the fan. There have never been such scenes in PGE Ekstraliga yet, and the competition authorities take safety at stadiums very seriously and make sure that the speedway league is associated with a family atmosphere. The behavior of the British spoils their work and therefore there are many indications that they will decide to punish him exemplary. The possible suspension of the speedway rider will affect not only him, but also his club, which is preparing for the most important matches in the play-offs. Suspending Woffinden for more than one match would seriously undermine the team's chances of reaching the semi-finals and could contribute to a gigantic surprise. Sparta is the most serious candidate for the championship title. However, this may be just the beginning of the problems, because the case can also be dealt with by the Leszno police. So far, however, we have not been able to contact the spokesperson of the KMP in Leszno, so it is not known whether the officers are already taking any action in this matter.
