  1. I think I would make changes now, Emiliano Sanchez for Dougles, tom young for Bates. The way rolling averages work, from the 1st of may our top 5 will have all upped their averages totaling 34.01, leaving 8.49 for our final 2 riders. If Ryan is riding at 3.6 that only leaves about 4.89 for a final rider and that means MPT will still ride in the main body of the team.
  2. I don't think gates 2 and 3 where disadvantaged because riders nearly always watch the magnet rather than the tapes.
  3. Quality racing as always at the EWR, I think Scunny will have to make a change at reserve if they going to make the play offs.
  4. Since when does the national league team come before the premier league team. Have we seen the last of Josh Bates?
  5. Can someone please tell me how the polish meeting rules differ from ours, i.e tactical subs, reserve riders, maximum and minimum number of rides that can be taken.
  6. I do see alot of potential in Bates and I believe given enough time he will be a good rider, but on the other hand scunny have got to target the playoffs and I am not sure we can make it with the current team.
  7. I like the updates, but why interview the riders when they could point the camera at the racing.
  8. I am not sure about scunthorpes riding order...1. Josh Auty, 2. Thomas Jørgensen (Denmark), 3. Michael Palm Toft (Denmark), 4. Ashley Birks, 5. David Howe, 6. Josh Bates, 7. Ryan Douglas (Australia). Jørgensen at 2 with auty, i think I would have gone for.....1. Josh Auty, 2. Ashley Birks, 3.David Howe , 4.Michael Palm Toft, 5. Thomas Jørgensen, 6. Josh Bates, 7. Ryan Douglas (Australia).
  9. Promo video http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/speedway-grand-prix-comes-british-eurosport-105843072.html
  10. I would also like to see a technical insight into tracks instead of a fans view, but an index would be a waste of space imo.
  11. Not sure what to make of this signing, on the one hand he could be good rider for the future on the other it leaves scunny 1.3 below the points limit and looking a bit suspect at reserve.
  12. I would switch birks and toft round.
  13. Josh did a fine bit of team riding with Nick Morris in heat 15 of the playoff final to secure the league. I am not saying hes a saint but he does team ride when its needed.
  14. I think this meeting will be on tv for the following reasons... 1.This meeting is on a wednesday when the preceding two fridays are free for both clubs. 2.sky love going to Somerset 3.Its a replay of last years final.
  15. I read in speedway star the 3-3 bonus point is to be scraped in the premier league. Is this the worst rule change ever?
  16. Like you said before a very dodgy decision, in my eyes Davis was never catching the scunny riders.
  17. I don't understand why heat 8 was re-run, I thought the crash was on the 3rd lap. Does anyone know where i can get a DVD of this meeting?
  18. Richard Hall thoroughly deserved his place in heat 15, he was the fastest somerset rider, and was unlucky not to score more points. He was very close to overtaking both Auty and Morris in heat 15, as you would have seen had you been watching.
  19. Not a good forecast http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/yh/scunthorpe_forecast_weather.html. Does anybody know when this will be rearranged if it is postponed.
  20. Iam not sure Sam Masters is the best choice of guest, never thought he rode the EWR very well. Maybe Stuart Robson would be a better option.
  21. Sam Masters for the home leg as well, I know Sam scored well last time he rode at the EWR but apart from that hes looked terrible round Scunny.
  22. Nicki was in front and chose to ride the inside and Chris put his front wheel on the grass and got a load of drive he didn't expect/couldn't handle, it was rider error. The collision was not inevitable.
  23. Not necessarily, it depends if he achieves an average greater then riders in the main body of the team, he could easly put a point on his 4.66 average and still be at reserve. Besides riders have good and bad years depending on a number of factors, such as what home track they ride for. If you look at Carls average at the beginning of the season its almost 2 points higher than his current average that suggests under the right circumstances i.e riding for Scunthorpe he could put points on his average.
