One things for sure he will get a slagged off unless GB win gold, some peoples expectations are too high.
-
Looks like Scunthorpe will be racing sunday afternoons to start with and then switching to Fridays latter in the year.
-
Anybody know if Russia will use their first team this year?
-
what would be a good year for Rosco and team GB...... a medal, reaching the final, reaching the play offs?
-
Last year only 5 riders put 2 or more points on their average, C Cook, C Heeps, R Worral, L kerr and M Dyer.
-
If Poole don't sign Pawlicki, they will still find a 7 pointer from somewhere and will still have the best/second best team on paper. You have said yourself Poole look a top 4 team at the moment without knowing their complete team.
-
They have signed 6 riders and the final rider is likely to be Pawlicki.

Sunday afternoons was mentioned a while back.

Poole and king's lynn look the best, I think Wolves are going to be bottom.

The more I think about Scunthorpe's team the more I like it, If Douglas carries on where he left off last year I reckon he could put a point on his average but he would probably still be at reserve.
-
Scunthorpe's total average is 42.39.
-
I think he will be OK at scunny but will struggle away.
-
Happy with this team but I am not sure about matt w is he ready for the PL.
-
I think a similar youth development scheme might work in the premier league but not in the elite league. Its just a recipe for some boring races. Darcy ward versus josh bates, edge of your seat stuff. Some of the riders are not even good enough for the PL never mind the EL. I imagine the race format will be similar to Sweden where there are 2 reserves races.
-
New Tractor? Stags team in the NL I think.
-
I am all for bringing on British riders, but I don't think this is the right way to about it. Most of the riders in the draft are PL reserves, how are they expected to compete against EL riders. It may help the riders progress, but it won't improve the entertainment.

Simon Stead signs for Sheffield, http://speedwaystar.net/News.aspx

Are they all on the same money, what happens if one club picks a rider and decides to pay him peanuts.
-
What happens if say Coventry want Garrity but they can't agree terms, does this mean Garrity can't ride for any EL club.

British Speedway Promoters Meeting
eric i replied to dantodan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I have watched a lot of Swedish speedway and I can honestly say it is no more entertaining than the British league, I can't comment on the value because I don't know how much it costs. -
Bbc Sports Personality Of The Year
eric i replied to Grand Central's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I do think BBC ignores speedway because of its working class image. Just look at all the other minority sports on their sports website, shooting, fencing and sailing to name a few, no mention of speedway though. -
Is there a confirmed data for the AGM or will it be postponed until they know if there is a TV deal.

When I say play each other twice, I mean home and away twice so It would also be 28 meetings but could teams like Buxton and IOW afford to compete with the likes of Workington, Edinburgh and Newcastle?
-
Maybe Leicester, Ipswich, Somerset, Rye House and Plymouth joining a weaker top flight making 15 teams. Leaving the 8 northern PL teams to have a small league where they play each other twice. The National league would remain as it is.
