Leicester it is, I assume Dan Thompson is on 8 day ban for non speedway related illness. If we have the home leg on Friday that means R/R, zaine kennedy(11+1 last time) will take 3 of his rides and Howarth the other. If we arrange home leg on sunday Dan will probably be back (scored 0 last time).

Disagree, if anything crowds are better on a Sunday. Track prep can be a difficult if its warm but if it was 5pm start at this time of year its not going to be a problem.

According to Godfrey, 'The opening play-off meeting is most likely to take place at the Eddie Wright Raceway next Friday (October 1).' Would Sunday be a better day, not up against the GP and would allow more away fans to travel.

Scunny are in the playoffs, but will it be Glasgow or Leicester. I hope Leicester win at Glasgow because I don't fancy our chances against Leicester.

One of the council conditions.......... 'Noise emissions shall be monitored for each Speedway event held at the stadium and measured against the race noise trigger level of 57dBLAeq15min at the nearest residential properties. Before the third Speedway event takes place (at the new stadium) the stadium operator shall submit details to the Local Planning Authority for approval in writing, of a trigger noise value at the monitoring location at the nearest residential properties. Where the race noise level exceeds the trigger level on three consecutive events, the stadium operator shall submit a further acoustic assessment report to assess and evaluate whether or not there were any extenuating meteorological conditions that may have affected these results. Where no such mitigating factors are reported to the Local Planning Authority that may explain or justify exceedance of the trigger noise levels, before the expiry of 28 days of the notifiable third Speedway event, the stadium operator shall submit further details to the Local Planning Authority for approval in writing of a scheme to identify additional noise mitigation and control measures and these shall be implemented prior to the next Speedway event. Reason: In the interests of the amenities of nearby residents.' Hopefully it passes the noise tests because I am not sure what additional noise mitigation would be? Even bigger acoustic barrier?

Glasgow need to draw or win to move above Scunthorpe, Scunny got better point difference. -
They should put the fence as wide as can safely be done, more width the better the racing.

Wherever it is, mid June would be better than mid September weather wise.

National league could be a more viable option, there would be no derby crowds but the vast majority will still turn up and support.
