  1. At Wroclaw I would go with Tai, Rob, Dan, Wright, Ellis. Of course there is opinion and debate who are the best top 5, the justification for using Brennen over Wright is one of the most bizarre I have seen i.e he rides in poland so he going to score more points at Wroclaw( despite Belle Vue being the most similar track to Wroclaw). The real reason that Wright wasn't include is because he didn't want ride in European pairs in Finland.
  2. People are misunderstanding this thread, there is no criticism of the riders who all give it 100%. The criticism is of Simon Stead and Oliver Allen who didn't pick the top 5 riders.
  3. According to a lot of the riders Wroclaw track is most similar to Belle Vue, Charles Wright has a higher average than Tom Brennen despite Brennen being at reserve.
  4. This 'giving them experience' should really not enter calculations. When fighting for medal it should be top 5 riders. If you care to the read world cup thread, there was lots of criticism from myself and others when the GB squad was announced.
  5. That's silly logic to suggest those who ride in Poland will be the best riders for the job. By that logic if Brennen, Eliis and Worral were injured would you have put Kemp in the team.
  6. They have had problems with the Krosno track all year. This isn't the first postponement for no good reason.
  7. Nobody has ever cared about the European Pairs, look at the role of honour and past line ups...... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Pairs_Speedway_Championship , I don't blame riders for turning down the opportunity to travel to the arse end of Finland for a mickey mouse competition.
  8. Thats is what is wrong, it should be the riders that are most likely to score the most points. Charles wright would have been more likely than Brennen to score points. I think it cost us.
  9. According to a lot of the riders Wroclaw track is most similar to Belle Vue, Charles Wright has a higher average than Tom Brennen despite Brennen being at reserve.
  10. Their decision not to include riders in the GB squad because they didn't want to compete in lesser competitions has cost GB dearly IMO. We will never know what Charles Wright would have scored but any sane man would have put money on him scoring a point in the final. Such a poor decision would not have been made by the likes of Gary May, Stewart Dickson or Middleditch........time for a change.
  11. Tom may well gain from this but his inclusion in the team was a mistake, there were better riders.
  12. Simon Stead and Oliver Allen have made poor choices, If we would have had C.Wright and C.Harris in the team we would have been lifting the trophy.
  13. With the league deadline likely to be extended, playoffs won't start until mid september, might we see this fixture on the 3rd september (day after cardiff GP).
  14. I am not sure about Brennan, he beat Lindback who had some problem with his bike and Klima who hadn't scored all night.
  15. I would put money on him scoring more than 4 yesterday.
  16. Everyone knows Harris would not score a hat full of points on Saturday but the question is, would he be more likely to score more than Ellis and Brennen. One point could be the difference between medals.
  17. Thats a poor excuse from Allen, nobody pays any attention to the other Mickey Mouse competitions.
  18. Stead has made some terrible decisions, should have had Charles Wright as an option.
  19. Harris is better option than either Brennen or Ellis IMO.
  20. Anyone hear anything about dates for the KOC fixtures?
  21. So Chris Harris has 2 point higher average than Brennan in championship and 1.5 higher average in Premiership. He has wealth of experience and doesn't buckle under pressure. How can anyone justify Brennan being a better rider? OK neither rider is world class but Simon stead should be picking the current best riders.
  22. Have they seen forecast?, too early to water imo.
  23. Great stuff on reaching the target but I guess the more money that's raised the more options they have when selecting a barrister.
