I think the long term plan is to develop the stadium for housing. If they could make it pay at Perry Barr with Cradley NL, Birmingham champ, Wolverhampton Prem for the next 5 to 10 years while they try to develop an out of town motorsport venue for all 3 teams.

Conspiracy theory, They kept Cardiff on the calendar because its good to attract sponsors, once the sponsors signed on the dotted line they switch Cardiff for Belle Vue. I understand the SON lost a lot of money, ok a GP will be more popular but I think in order for Discovery to make some money they needed to do 2 crowd pullers, it was always the plan in my opinion. I will put money on it being 2gps at belle vue in 2026 as well.

I would say so, history shows when speedway clubs have gone up and down the leagues there has been little change in crowd level. The star riders in the Premiership may have a very slight crowd draw, Emil, Tai or Bewley but I think there is more than a few teams that would be financially better off running at NL level. Also Birmingham might finally have a winning team.
