  1. Totally agree with your comments Mike, so good to see Kyle doing well in the difficult No2 position. I was disappointed to see him leave Coventry but great to see him continuing on from his excellent season last year.
  2. Ah right, does it? It wasn't clear in the post. Thanks for clearing that up.
  3. Closer than most predicted but I reckon we can go to Monmore on Monday and win with the riders we have that go well at Wolves.
  4. GARRITY GEARING UP FOR BIG SEASON Bees fast-track reserve Jason GARRITY says he is looking to establish himself at the top level after becoming a club asset over the winter writes Observer speedway reporter Robin Allen. Garrity had originally opted to double up with Rye House and the Bees for 2015 until the Hertfordshire side announced a change in ownership which led to the Brit handing in a request and opened the door at Brandon. And with the switch to riding in the Elite League full-time, Garrity has invested heavily in his equipment this year in the hope it will take him to the next level. It feels great; I'm over the moon that I am an asset of coventry now because it's what I wanted to be owned by an Elite League club, Garrity told the Observer. I couldn't fault anything Len Silver has done for me at Rye House and I appreciate it. Here at Coventry now it's time to move on and progress in my career and I think this is the best place for me to be so hopefully it will be a big year. Things have changed like my bike this year; all my equipment is top of the range equipment its cost me quite a lot this year to get up and running but I couldn't thank my sponsors enough for what they have done, without them I wouldn't be able to do what I have done this year. I feel better already because I don't need to go out and ride in the winter, I've been riding speedway bikes all my life and all I know is speedway so for me I just want to get back on a bike and it's like yesterday so off we go! The Manchester born rider revealed that it was the family atmosphere and his partnership with fellow reserve James Sarjeant that convinced him to become a Bees asset. Me winning my races last year being the person I am speaking people it felt something wasn't quite right with my other team last year. We didn't have any team bonding, it didn't feel like a club but you come here to Brandon you've got people and family that don't just want to ride your speedway bike because they appreciate who you are. Me and James have been riding together since we were 5 or 6 years old. To go another year with him in the team you couldn't ask for better, we're friends on and off the track you know and Ive got his back whenever he needs me. The fast track system has become stronger this year with the inclusion of experienced Elite League reserves Ashley Birks and Josh Auty who join Kyle Newman who was part of the system last year. And Garrity added, My main goals this year, I want to be top of the averages in the fast track, I know Kyle Newman is flying along with a few other lads but it is going to be harder this year but like I say, my equipment is so much better this year. I went for practice and you could feel the difference in the way everything works which Is great.
  5. Bomber unbeaten so far at Wolves!
  6. Way too soon to be panicking - however, Cameron Woodward for Jakub Jamrog would not have changed the scoreline by very much. Changing him is not the answer based on this meeting. All the riders need to step it up this Friday which I am sure they will.
  7. Yes typical. It is forecast to stop about 1.00pm though. Track will be very wet though. For anyone travelling from the south, A46 is closed between Kenilworth and Stoneleigh. Fatality I'm afraid so it could be shut for some time.
  8. Fair comments Dick, that is your opinion which you are entitled to. By the same token, I have had dealings with MH since he has been at Coventry regarding sponsorship and other matters and I have found him to be true to his word and a pleasure to deal with. In fact I would say he went over and beyond what was agreed! With regards to dealings with riders, I have no insight into that area so cannot comment as will be the case with majority of us on this forum and we all know there is always 2 sides to a story and when you are in possession of all the facts then quite often things are not as they seem on the surface.
  9. Exactly right but Starry will of course think it is all a conspiracy against Ward.
  10. Perhaps the key word here is reportedly.
  11. Not so mate. I know of a WSB rider who had this length of wait about 6 or 7 years ago so don't bleat. The difference is it is team sport so preventing (or not) Ford completing his team.
  12. Unless he has been offered a better deal elsewhere with all the Visa problems.
  13. He wasn't my No1 choice - I would rather have a Brit who will show up every week barring injuries.
  14. Not me! I just hope equipment isn't a problem if it is true!
  15. Fully agree with those comments. I think he will do a good job for Leicester at 2nd heat leader. I hope he has a good season......except against Coventry!!
  16. Fully agree with this post. Crumpy is the obvious choice but would he want to take on that role?
  17. I like Holder and glad he is back in the EL but can't help thinking he won't be as invincible as in previous seasons.
  18. How do you ever make the breakthrough then?
