And wasn't there a threat of some rain a fortnight before?!!
-
Is this a cryptic twitter message?

Great news for Coventry Speedway and the supporters. Clearly Councillor Stokes has been able to pull some strings to be able to get this agreement. I also think Mick Horton should be given some credit for getting the agreement. I get fed up reading all the criticism of Mick so maybe some supporters will cut him some slack now.

Looking like a reasonable prediction. Bellego very disappointing! Pedersen only dropping a point so far! -
Don't think he will be in the team when we are in the play-offs Shawn!!
-
He is a squad member/rider isn't he?
-
That's co-incidental - just took him out of my fantasy team today......

Thanks for the link Danny.

Coventry Bees V Belle Vue Aces 27/05/2016
dj350z replied to Woz01's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Nice initiative: COVENTRY team partners NGK will have prizes available for supporters at Friday’s Elite League clash with Belle Vue at Brandon. NGK are supporting the Down’s Syndrome Association and will be raising money for the cause at the Bees v Aces fixture. During the interval representatives will be coming through the stadium with donation buckets and giving away trolley keyrings. There will also be a chance to win a pair of ‘VIP Hospitality with NGK’ tickets to the Coventry v Swindon fixture on Friday July 1 with buffet and drinks included, as well as signed 2016 Greg Hancock and Scott Nicholls caps. A pair of Coventry Bees race-jackets donated by the club and signed by all of the riders racing on Friday, will also be up for grabs. A merchandise table where donations can be made for baseball caps, beanie hats and T-shirts will be located by the Track Shop, with ALL PROCEEDS going to the Down’s Syndrome Association. We are pleased to be supporting this most worthy cause, and wish everyone good luck for the various giveaways. -
If And When Bomber Retires..............
dj350z replied to dj350z's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I am very concerned about the future of Brandon Stadium and Coventry Speedway but does that mean we cannot have a discussion on Speedway forum about riders that have had Coventry Speedway in their blood in what might be the last season at Brandon? Correct. CO and Olsen had a verbal agreement for him to ride in the '76 season and apparently had a call from CO when Ole was in Australia asking him would he still ride for Coventry and he agreed and CO fought the case. Ole said he never forgot that gesture from CO even though he had never signed a contract. -
................from the sport, who will be the new Mr Coventry Speedway? We have been lucky at Broandon over the years to have had Booey, Ole, TK/KT, Hans (possibly) and of course currently Bomber who have been Coventry Speedway through and through! Just wondering.......

Coventry V Wolves Monday 9th May

A very entertaining meeting last night with the track a bit tricky for the first few heats. I love the lad Woryna's great attitude - just a shame the expectations on him are unrealistic due to the team building this year. No complaints with Lindgren's rides. He is not a dirty rider, just rode hard but fair - he was one of the reasons the meeting was so good! -
You're getting very tedious now! We do get it that you are not fan of Mick Horton!
-
The news just gets better and better: From the Official Bees Website Emil is on his way - http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.1508 Bees supremo Mick Horton has managed to get special dispensation from the BSPA to use Emil Sayfutdinov as No 8 for the rest of the season. Poole boss Matt Ford says "This is great news for the sport"

Hans Andersen doesn't come cheap either.
-
Yes, I would be very surprised!
-
Poole will be quaking in their boots!

You need to use an image hosing website such as Photobucket. -
Agreed. But any decent businessman will look at the sport and realise that they will be wasting their time and money - that is why they are good business people.
