  1. Well that is good to read. Only leaves BSPA or Gospeed now as the perpetrator of the fiasco - to be honest I dont know which to put my money on!!
  2. Surely Gary had contingency plans incase of a rain off! You need that at any time of the year in the UK but especially if trying to run a meeting in March!
  3. From Panthers Official website: http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2024.2
  4. How come? Can anyone elect to pay and park closer to the track?
  5. Sorry Neil but to me that info on that website is as clear as mud! May I rephrase my question please? Who is Lewis Blackbird being loaned from by Panthers for the 2014 season? Many thanks.
  6. I have been trying to discover who Lewis is an asset of - if anyone knows that would be great.
  7. I will be only too pleased to get away from home and the footie on the TV that day - suspect I will have had a gut full of it by then - and don't think I will be the only one!
  8. I make that Sheffield (PL) and Birmingham (EL) for Dak this season (beginning of anyway) or no Uk racing until team changes happen.
  9. Don't think you need worry about Hall - rumoured to be heading Peterborough way although I am hoping its not true.
  10. The price, number of meetings AND change of race night means it makes sense for me to purchase a Season Ticket - first time for several years that I have decided to do so.
  11. According to the Glasgow thread on this forum some of their fans would like him back there so must have shown something last season.
  12. I'll go with a new assessed 7 pointer in that case.
  13. If Dakota is going to ride in the Pl there are now only Glasgow(rode end of last season) and Sheffield apart from us who can fit him in. I am sure I read somewhere he had signed for a Polish Club and that may mean fixture clashes for Prem sides who may not be keen to sign him. Havnt seen him sign for any EL club yet either whereas he only rode at EL level at the start of last season. If one of our remaining places does not go to him I am at a loss to think who else is being considered. Please discuss.
  14. Absolutely delighted with this signing - local lad and remember his Father and Uncles from years gone by
  15. Some good news yesterday - finally and very pleased with the signing of Ryan and Lasse but would really like to see Dakota also. Someone(?) mentioned Taylor Poole but I thought I read somewhere he had packed up and returned to Australia - does anyone know? PS. NOW is the appopriate time to move us to the PL Section of this Forum but thanks to Admin for sticking with this thread despite suggestions from others.
  16. K. Buczkowski 7.33 by any chance? Highest ranked(by average) rider not signed by any club apart from those who have stated no UK in 2014 and those who are still expected to sign for their parent clubs ie. Tai (Wolves). Riding as No. 1 would really stretch him I feel but I have no doubt he would be a very entertaining rider for the Leicester fans once he had the track weighed up. Would leave around 4.20 for the final one.
  17. Who can it be folks? That news is a bit more encouraging.
  18. An interesting article and the answers were all there - thanks had not seen that before. Pleased to see he is today confirmed as an Eagle for 2014.
  19. Interesting but still no direct quotes from Joonas only Trevor Geer - don't get me wrong I am not suggesting he said anything other than what he knew (I have no knowledge of how Mr. Geer operates so am not accusing him). He didn't join Peterborough until July and only rode 6 home and 6 away for us - maybe by then he was looking for/realising extra meetings would be good or more easily fitted in plus we were not a weekend home track bearing in mind his Long Track and Polish commitments. I do think his style is much more suited to the EoEs (or similar) than Arlington (or any other small track) and that may or may not have had a bearing on his decision to race in the UK afterall in 2013. Be interesting to see if he now comes back for you or any other UK club in 2014.
  20. And there lies the problem these days - unless I see or hear it direct from the rider concerned (ie. Twitter, Facebook, Sky interview etc.) I don't believe a word of it - fans are given far too many ambiguous reasons/excuses for riders not signing or absences by many clubs I find it best to keep an open mind. In Joonas defence he only rode a short part of the season for us (Panthers) which may well have suited him at that time of the year, but I am glad he did as I enjoyed watching his skill on a bike, his speed and some of his passes at the EoES were superb. Had we been racing in 2014 he is one rider I would definitely have welcomed back.
  21. Well thats how it looks on the face of it - but - our main sponsor "Readypower" IS Rick Frost's business and add that to his recent comments re losses and financing the club in the local press you can't help but think there is something else behind the decision not disclosed so far.
