Is anyone local to the EoES able to give weather updates later please - have had rain showers here although I am almost 25 miles from the showground? Thanks. -

I agree no point in making changes at present. Having said that when we were announced as a PL side this season I did think Dakota would have been a team member as an asset and improving young rider so was disappointed when that was not the case. I was pleased to see he had a good meeting in Poland yesterday. -

No I meant speedway but there is no denying we could certainly do a lot better in that department - the whole sport needs a much more professional approach but thats another thread! Now that we have our guest named I can only see a win for the Rebels - no offence to Aaron but Ryan Fisher's boots are huge to fill! Thank you to Rosco for stepping into the breach left by our TWO Team Managers - an explanation for the reasons for this necessity would negate any suspicion of lack of interest etc... -

Sad but true - hardly surprising though when the Rebels website carries info on our Guest while the Panthers website still does not! -

I think you will find Mr. Worrall will be required by his own club that evening - racing at Plymouth. Any more suggestions? Simon Stead looks the best available to me. -
I am sure it was obvious to most people you were not prying and Philip Rising's curt reply to your question was unnecessary - if you wish to know more and are a member of Facebook (a Social Network website read worldwide - hardly private Philip) there are a group of like-minded speedway fans (Speedway Friends is the page name) similar to yourself WestGorton who have been discussing this in a sympathetic, concerned and respectful manner. If you cannot find it or wish to know how to please feel free to PM me. Ivan's speedway career was glorious and I see nothing wrong in those of us that used to watch in awe when he raced expressing our concern and sympathy, wishing him well or asking about his welfare at this stage in his life.

As there was no thread for this thought I would start one. I see we (Panthers) need a guest for Ryan Fisher (racing for Bees) - any suggestions (eligible and available would be useful)? Once this rider is confirmed it will be possible to forecast the outcome of this meeting - as its only Wednesday morning I expect that may take some time - maybe 48 hours before we are told if typical speedway procedure is followed.

When Ryan is not available are we entitled to a guest or R/R then Neil? Does it depend on what position he holds in the team at the time? Thanks. PS. Its hard work getting a fan's head around all these rules and regulations! -

Signed. If it can happen to Mildenhall in this sparsely populated area of The Fens close to noisy american air bases heaven help other stadia in the UK. -
Peterborough V Plymouth - 25th March (plc)

From the road passing by it could easily have looked that way because it was only about half the floodlights that went out so the others may have still been switched on. -

Sad that they only mention greyhounds and stock cars but NOT speedway - suppose no one should be surprised really with all the problems in our sport these days. -

Unbelievable coincidence - for those that believe things go in "3's" here was the evidence Having followed Panthers from their first season's racing I cannot recall a situation like last evening occurring at the Showground in the past - I think it was Richard Greer who was interviewed and said the same - (too dark to see properly ). Such a shame as the boys were riding well and looked to be heading for a big win. Most importantly it went at the start of a race and the red lights worked and was stopped immediately with no incidents or injuries. -

Darren Fletcher by far and away the best - he has the type of voice that makes you pay attention the instant he started speaking - Craig cannot help his tone of voice but he certainly does his homework and tries hard to give lots of facts. Helmets worn on parade before riders have been announced need to be BANNED otherwise scrap the parade there is no point. There is not room round the pit fence for the entire crowd to stand so for many in the grandstand it is the only opportunity to see the riders in person. -
Hi - I remember how difficult it is to select tickets on first visit and can only tell you my experiences. Definitely would not purchase Lower Tier - I never have and know someone who did and said they could only see helmets going past for part of each race. If you look at the photo of the inside of the stadium on SpeedwayGP website they build the track up and the fence is quite high.(see link below). They do cover a number of seats in the lower tier nearest to the track which leaves possibly half available for purchase. I have sat in Upper Tier and Middle Tier and definitely prefer Middle. I feel its also important in such a vast stadium to consider where your preference lies with regard to bends 1,2,3 or 4 or maybe infront of start/finish line or back straight as the distances are so great. Its steeply tiered all round so viewing is not a problem but its just how close you want to be to see - the start/finish line or riders entering first bend etc... My preference is Middle Tier Blocks M6 - M12 in East Stand (see link below for Map) and I choose the Row with lowest number as its nearer the front. If these were unavailable I would consider looking in Upper Tier Blocks U7 - U11 provided I could get a low number Row nearer the front of that block. After those options had been explored I would look at the opposite side in West Stand and try Middle M27 - M33 followed by Upper U28 - U32. If its atmosophere that is important to you (the whole place is full of it anyway) and you don't mind flags being waived infront of you while trying to watch the races sit where I did the first time I went - Upper Tier Block U19 which was full of Poles enjoying themselves the way they usually do and we were fortunate enough that it was not full and we moved 3 times to get out the way. Peterborough V Rye House 18 March Challenge
maneacat replied to Vincent Vega's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Spot on - I walked to the car park behind a man with a 6/7 year old child and the thought crossed my mind what time would that child get to bed. On the plus side the riders were being introduced to the crowd as I took my seat at 7.20 ready for 7.30 start. There seemed a lot of people involved and confusion over repairing the air fence - maybe new staff members or a particularly difficult task but it took an extraordinarily long time. Thankfully both riders were able to walk away. Following that event at the most a very short 5 min interval was all that should have been necessary. -

Thanks for replies to my post but I think this is down to Jason's personal choice - Ward, Batchelor, Holder(not this season but in previous) could claim similar circumstances but they are over here and then have to return to the southern hemisphere for this first GP. I feel it would be much better for Rye House to have a guest up to Jason's average instead of R/R(and I am no fan of guests particularly) - this is the two clubs first meeting of the new season and it would be good to witness it with 14 riders rather than 13 in my opinion. Before anyone accuses me of bias (as a Panthers fan) I can assure you I would be saying the same if Jason was a member of our team. -

I think they will - personally I shall wait and attend P & P Day instead (weather permitting) and see the team in action on track rather than the dance floor As for KKS - has anyone checked the Poole thread to see if he's posting on there - have a feeling PL is not for him/her
