  1. If Halsey can stay on for more than one lap out of three attempts and come last he will have surpassed Phillips efforts last night. I know nothing much of him other than he rides for Mildenhall which is a completely different track to the EoES so we shall see.
  2. You obviously know more than I but at the end of the day if that is so Ged is running a Sports Club involving adults not a Kindergarten. Far better face to face than a phone call or text. I do have sympathy for Emil and Tom and really wish both could have discovered their earlier form but they and fans could see it just wasn't happening.
  3. That's a relief! No need to worry about him for 2017. Thanks for the heads up!
  4. Highly unlikely Ulrich's will be going anywhere IMHO. Ps. And he's not - posted my comment while still reading previous pages.
  5. I think BOTH - he has given both Emil and Tom plenty of time to try to regain their form and last night he announced the changes "with their permission" as he wanted them to be applauded by the crowd for their efforts this season not just disappear into the sunset after the night was concluded. Never seen it before but it was good to see so many go to shake their hands or give them a hug. They ar both great lads and I really hope will return to the Panthers lair one day.
  6. Thank you very much for doing that - really kind of you. Unlikely to be able to this late in season (and with a holiday booked already) but will do as you suggest next year if we decide to come up.
  7. Thank you for your response - not at all surprised at the reply to your query re dietary requirements which is why I haven't even bothered to contact them myself. I fully expected that to be the case but I am sure I will survive without trips to the NSS. There are plenty of other tracks and I have never had this problem before in over 40 years of attending and thankfully my home circuit at the Eoes is not restrictive like Belle Vue. As for its title of "National" stadium since the first time I read that I thought it was laughable - sadly it has proved to be very much so!
  8. Well said and my grievance is not financial but rather from a health perspective. My partner and I are both Diabetic (he has to carry suitable food and drink at all times and cannot go as long as 3 hours without). My sister in law is Gluten Free (something which seems to be on the increase judging by the amount of products now on sale in most Supermarkets). Most restaurants and pubs we all go to are very helpful and obliging when made aware of our dietary requirements but you really cannot expect a stadium or its vendors to be in a position to do so. Even the Millenium stadium for GP's were very accommodating when we explained our situation and showed the products and Consultant's letter he always carries. If it's good enough for them and Airports when we travel it certainly should be for Belle Vue stadium but we dare not risk it - a four hour drive to be faced with such problems followed by a four hour trip home again is not worth the risk.
  9. Correct and how many times has this happened before - we never learn!
  10. Holub is not English! Newman is not whiter than white himself as I have seen in the past but then this is a BIG BOYS sport after all.
  11. As many have reviewed the meeting from Panthers riders perspective I will do so from a Tigers one (even though they are obviously not my Club). They provided tough opposition as expected and Howarth did exactly what a Guest should do with 10+1 from 5 rides. As for the Tigers themselves their two reserves rode well (better than I expected if I am honest) and a combined score of 11+1 is a cceptable on an away track for two 3+? riders. Worrall also played his part no problem there BUT a number one and former Panther (an Elite League rider to) scoring 4+1 is nowhere near good enough. Finally Aaron Summers a rider I have always liked on a near 9 average scoring 5+1 did not trouble us in the way I would have expected. Unfortunately we did not get to see Nike Lunna due to injury but as his R/R rides produced 5 points I don't believe his presence would have changed the result. I thought it was well prepared and a pleasant change to watch from start to finish without it turning into the dustbowlfest that Sunday afternoons usually produce.
  12. Friday at EOES might be in doubt though - The MetOffice currently giving 80% chance of rain in Peterborough area at 7pm!
  13. I hope you are right - and - I wish I had your confidence
  14. No Ulrich or Emil - both have compulsory fixtures in Denmark. Lasse Bjerre and MPT guesting - with NBJ returning from injury and running R/r for Perry we will need Lambert on form and Holub to have a good start to his Panthers career if we are to win this one now.
  15. Am sure the 17th June is changed after Godfrey said on the BSPA WEBSITE statement yesterday his club had agreed to a change.
  16. Read it how you like - I have explained myself despite you being the only one on here to misunderstand - it's not that important to me but you carry on if it makes you happy!
  17. Think he was referring to the fact the Showground lets out pitches to people wishing to camp overnight at some of its events. Funny really seeing as Kings Lynn is a well known "pikey" town.
  18. I said "fixtures" - that was plural when I went to school - KHH may get a call for one of those was what I meant - maybe more but other riders may also be considered. Is that better? 😉
  19. Exactly but he may get a phone call again when the clash with Craig's Belle Vue fixtures occurs.
  20. What has the weather been like in KL this morning - someone closer than me please comment - I am only half hour away and it's just stopped raining since before 8am but still looking grey and miserable.
  21. Perhaps that's exactly what the attendances so far this season have shown the promotion. I don't know by the way but what I have noticed is the amount of fans that, when discussing it, frequently state a preference for "the old days" and regular Friday night racing.
  22. Probably because having to name a designated race day is immaterial when you race at the EoES because we all know the problems and meetings will be all over the place and changed around throughout the season.
  23. Brady did well and I think you referring to the meeting as "a fairly easy gp qualifier" doesn't do justice to his achievement. Brady in my opinion is far better than a reserve and I don't see him being in that position for long - in fact on his average he would still be in the 1 - 5 of most teams - it's Adam Ellis's exceptional start to the season that has placed him there. I don't think Cookie has raced himself into form this season yet but am sure he will and deserves his EL Team place remembering his performances last year. I suppose you noticed that he had a fall in the KL meeting when 1 point would have placed him level with Brady and resulted in a race off between them. Whereas I was delighted to see he beat Lambert (not a fav of mine) in their race off I would have felt differently with a CookKurtz race off as I like them both. I would be very happy to see either of them double down in my team but sadly looks unlikely to happen.
