  1. Holder a great win and had already got the drop on Hancock.
  2. We all know of the 'commentator's curse', but you nearly fell victim to the 'forum commentor's' curse then in heat 16 lol too funny. I don't dislike or ridicule Harris at all. Like i said recently after his true sporting heroics in winning at Cardiff and more to the point the manner in which he won, i treat him in the same way as when Manchester United won the treble........if they never won anything again i'd be fully sated and wouldn't care and for anything else they win it's sheer bonus to be enjoyed.
  3. Not against Harris though, more the commentary team going to the lengths of working out how he can qualify. Soooooo love it if they prove to be right but extremely unlikely. Looks like, if he wasn't already, Crump out of the World title race now.
  4. Harris needs to do a Gollob and fulfill the Sky commentators permutations by winning his last two races! Heat 14 brings back the chopping and changing racing.
  5. Ok cool, at least we know you getting to watch the racing. That's a relief. Catch you on Tuesday with the Swedish bunch.
  6. What a shame for Crumpie and the competition. The more riders bunched together in the race for the championship the better, he's lost a hefty three points there. Looks like it's all down to Scotty to keep local Brit interest going in the knock-out stages of the meeting. The racing gets more cut throat the nearer we get to the end though. He's got Lindback, Holder and Vaculik in his next one too.
  7. Sky commentators extracting every last grain of hope. They saying Harris now needs two wins from his last two races, although 8 points isn't always enough but he would have two race wins to help him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reality Check needed for anyone?
  8. He did get a point in his first ride, does that alter your opinion of his performance? lol
  9. Heat 8 will give rise to a new version of that Bucking Bronco toy, changing it to speedway bikes.
  10. It would appear for the moment (certainly with the current ticket prices) that around 40,000 is it's ceiling.
  11. Very entertaining start. Hope our overseas friends aren't having trouble accessing streams seems a little quiet so far. Not everyone has access to Sky or the Polish channels. Not sure if everyone can access/purchase the official stream? I've not checked that out. Wow superb second race too.
  12. Got to admit it's a great spectacle, such a pity it's criminally ignored and not bestowed with the überhype that other 'lesser' media favoured events get. Anyway's thanks to IMG for giving us what we've got and Sky Sports for letting us see what we've got.
  13. Lol very good indeed. Thankful for any speedway track myself even if uncovered and in a field in the middle of nowehere (have i just described the majority of speedway tracks the world over!). Alas in the modern age sporting spectators have become used to and demand luxuries similar to an evening at a high class theatre lol, or not far off. Wow, why Freddie?
  14. Roof is closed, ahhhh if only tracks such as Vojens and many others had that option.
  15. Wow thought you had actually come across the pond then and were physically in Cardiff. Then i realized you said 'we' as in a general reference to all and also i'm at home watching on telly lol. Close call though and thank goodness for 'Sky Go' as for first time i can recall my Sky signal was intermittently going on and off due to patches of freaky weather moving across the country. Seems to have settled down now though, but got Sky Go on standby, it's a fantastic qulality stream available to Sky TV subscribers. Yeah i realized that once i had posted regarding the ink joke lol. I decided the red was a little too dark and lightened it, as with the blue to a smaller extent. OK everyone is settled in front of tv or pc with the preferred racecard of their choice (all cool and right), can't wait for this meeting hope it doesn't fall flat.
  16. Lol. Alas, any savings swallowed up by Research & Development costs You're welcome and thanks for the thanks.
  17. Define 'People's Choice' lol. They are all the 'People's Choice'! I'm sure DW's will be along soon along with any others not up yet. The size of the font is adjustable with a click (ok and a 'select all') when you are posting. Fingers crossed we get a great GP.
  18. Put them online so AVAILABLE as of NOW! You can directly download them from the top of the following page. MiniMax Racecard 2012 BRITISH Grand Prix Basic Version MiniMax Racecard 2012 BRITISH Grand Prix
  19. That's a view i was veering towards, but couldn't find a clear reference to confirm if it is the case or not. On the MiniMax racecards i have always had the following under the 'standings' "Above 15 riders are the only ones whose points count in the final 2012 series classification. Top 8 qualify for the 2013 SGP series." This week's GP will be the first to have a rider totalling enough points to enter the top 15 so i was going to add Vaculik's points in the notes section. UPDATE: I notice the Speedway Star whilst keeping the series regular 15 riders separate have placings listed 13th, 15th, 16th for them. Only thing the Star persists in getting so wrong is they list riders with the same points on alphabetical first name order!, instead of using the lowest riding jacket takes precedence which is a clear cut well established rule of the SGP. Extremely unsatisfactory. However fortunately the Wild Card system would fortuitously come to the rescue, probably by accident and not design. There is a similar situation for football's Champions League in that if the winners fail to qualify via their domestic league for the following year's competition they are automatically granted a place in the competition as 'Champions' at the expense of a fellow league club. Guess speedway have via the Wild Card an opportunity to ensure the champion would always take part. Similarly with Wild Card places taking up a quarter of the GP series it also allows for those whose points are within the top eight level to be inserted the next year. Although that's not guaranteed by any means, especially if for instance two of the world's top riders were injured early on or mid-season.
  20. Just over one day away - yep it's an early draw for a change - so available in the EARLY afternoon following the draw on Friday (13:00 BST) are the TWO different versions of the MiniMax Racecard. You can directly download them from the top of the following page and either print on both sides of a single sheet or use in a match programme format over two pages. 21. Nice to have clarification. So all's well that ends well........ummmmm! except for Martin Vaculik of course
  22. Nice to see that even in busy Cardiff week they are managing to read their emails. They've corrected the timing and cleared out last year's line-up from the draw page. So 13:00 it is then APPROVE of that
  23. Cheers many thanks. I'll keep an eye out on this thread. As much as anything i want to know for sporting/entertainment reasons when watching the GP and the chase for the top eight.
  24. Hee hee. Awwww i'll include a free choccie bar with every racecard to bring you back on board.
