Yeah i caught a glance of a headline on a Swedish site saying a good match was expected. I'll have to gen up on who is racing and what is at stake. I'm quite busy tomorrow but hope to catch it, i've missed the last few. Anyway's are we starting a book or sweepstakes to see what lap Edberg's leg falls off in his next race? -

Surprised to see Edberg still on the track. My girlfriend looked queasy (and she's a nurse lol) when Wayne Rooney's gashed to the bone thigh was displayed for all to see on tv, i do fear how she will react if Edberg's leg falls off mid-race. -

??? Is Gollob the invisible man he went from third or fourth to win the other race. Also Heat 9 lived up to it's potential very nice race. -

Good for Gollob! Very nice to see. That man has been responsible for triggering many a Tsunami whenever he jumps into the sea off the end of the pier. -

Awwww! Miedzinksi's awful start then spoils the clash of the unbeaten titans in heat 8 he's up against Iversen. Then again might likely still be a good race in prospect. -

I would have bet him to win that particular race. My memory not for the first time fails me, is he in the Grand Prix Challenge? Gollob's next race will be interesting as one suspects he retired then either solely because he's a little banged up, or also because he's seen his team go heavily behind from the start and is thinking if you lot aren't up for it neither am i lol. EDIT. Three posts went in at the same moment then and R&R has answered my question regarding Iversen. -

I meant to ask you about that very thing. Surely one has to be medically fit to ride in order not to be a danger to oneself or other riders. Maybe they expect him to be refused permission to ride and run races with only three riders, but in doing so possibly avoid sanctions for not fielding/bringing a full team etc? As they innocently cry, 'you sure Guv? you sure he can't ride with a plaster cast and a pair of crutches bolted on to his bike' -

Ok mvt.se are also going down the Alexander Edberg road. So i've left Dennis Andersson as R/R and replaced Kamil Brzozowski with the 'PARALYMPIC' Edberg. Not my description but one Tommy Cederlund. Ok 3am here and i'm off to bed. Just had a quick search and the latest news i could find is still the excerpt from the official Indianerna site below which was published Monday afternoon. 'Andersson will therefore not start, and Hammarby would therefore run rider replacement for him. Andersson will present there not start, and Hammarby would there present run rider replacement for him. The question is whether it is okay under these Regulations to run R / R for the Swedish under-21 drivers, who according to the rule has three protected heats where he can not be replaced by any other driver.' Since it's a little unclear which team Hammarby going to start with tomorrow night, it is also extremely difficult to tilt the match starting. But we assume that Gollob going to start and that Hammarby may run R / R Andersson Indians will undoubtedly have a very hard nut to crack. I'll be re-checking for the latest team news around midday tomorrow. Ideally, Ghostwalker will have updated us all before then in the morning -
British Grand Prix 2012

You wouldn't have had to have any interest in motor sports to have enjoyed the tension and marvelled at the manner in which Chris Harris won the British Grand Prix. However, that year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year show, lasting hours?, didn't spare the needed just over ONE MINUTE to show his great and entertaining achievement........errrrrm 'nuff said! As i mentioned elsewhere the other day; The fact that speedway is such a visually exciting sport makes the omission all the worst. I wouldn't mind but most of the general sporting public simply are not familiar with the riders, their characters or their history so that weakens the 'drama' of the personal statement aspect of it all. Whilst unlike a decade ago most people now are aware of what speedway is, mainly thanks to Sky, i notice that a lot of websites including the very large official ones do feel the need to have a section invariably called 'What Is Speedway'. Admittedly they are usually well worded and do make the sport sound exciting. Even though we hear it ad nauseum i still love the phrase 'No brakes, no gears, no fear'. Many outsiders to the sport even though they know what speedway is are unaware that the bikes have no brakes and such a fact invariably raises an eyebrow and interest. -

Just noticed that the two legs of the final are staged on consecutive days. With September not being the driest month of the year am i right in thinking that if the first leg is rained off the second leg becomes the first?. Has this happened in the past in the event that the final was staged on consecutive days or a day inbetween? (ouch back with the bold font again grrrRRRR lol) -

Great news whether you love him or loathe him.......Tomasz Gollob has said he IS riding tomorrow despite being in pain as it's such an important match for the team. Many reports are still insisting that rider replacement will be used for Dennis Andersson. Hammarby seem to be unaware of the rule that Ghostwalker quotes and we have to hope we don't get a situation where the match goes ahead and then get a post-meeting protest with a change of result. I'll put a racecard online within the next half hour. However it's likely to be a case of watch the space for amended cards. UPDATE AVAILABLE NOW MiniMax Racecards Swedish Play Offs Q-Final 1st Leg, Hammarby Vs. Try as i might last night my earlier post refused to display on normal font. Reposting, removing, copying and pasting into the bare notebook application and back again etc made no difference. -

Sky's standings show Bjarne Pedersen on 40pts despite the fact that before the meeting he had 41 and scored 2. I make that 43! Anyway, you know what, do i care? noooooo because Thank You Sky for providing us with a chance to witness yet another marvellous GP. Although it's not a freebie i do pay a hefty fee for ALL of your channels lol. -

If i was in my apartment rather than my house i'd just hang my rear end out the window and fertilise the flowers lol. I know most of you haven't a clue who Jimmy Johnson is but he sure extracted (don't ask) and passed on his Golden Horseshoe to Greg Hancock. Once again a rival totally messes up a chance to make major inroads on his lead, poor show Nicki. -

Ouchee i got to pop outside, will pump up the volume so i can hear what's going on lol. Be back for the semi-finals for sure. Surely for once, and absolutely nothing against Greg, but let's see if for once his rivals can take advantage of his possible non-appearance in the latter stages to close the gap.
