  1. Lol i swear Okoniewski look so startled then when he got overtaken.
  2. Punctual as always Alan welcome. An American thunderstorm is always worthy of it's label. I never bothered to watch the Danish Final recording as i understood it to be not too exciting.
  3. Oh excellent i had no idea about that, thank you. Incidentally are these semi-finals the traditional straight knock-out format and winners progress to the final or is there some sort of repêchage going on?
  4. You're welcome. I've managed to grab a fair amount of sleep last night in preparation for the NFL game tonight so i should be capable of filling in the card correctly this evening!
  5. It is very rare indeed i ever catch sight of Polish speedway due to it clashing with my other favourite sports. Usually important Premier League football matches, NFL and Nascar. Despite using two tv's and and computers to access a minimum of four sporting events at a time i can't ever fit it in. However, no Premier League this week due to World Cup matches and no Nascar clashing. So NFL and Polish speedway i can cope with. As for the second leg matches the following week i can fit in the 4pm fixture but will have to squeeze the later match in only if it's not a foregone conclusion as to who goes through, It clashes with NFL and Nascar. All of which leads to a question! Are there any streams or official sites that have the meeting available to view in the days following the match?. Although i subscribe to every sports channel known to man it's pointless seeking out a subscription for the Polish matches as they clash heavily with other sports most of the season. Swedish speedway (Premier Sports) and Danish speedway (Official free streams) have to sate my appetite for the international stage, well along with the SGP and SWC courtesy of Sky Sports.
  6. Always nice to see someone putting an effort into a post for debate. Matters not a jot whether people agree or disagree. There's nothing more childish and damning in displaying a lack of intellect when inane non-constructive replies are added to a thread. Incidentally, the '7-12' is obviously a mickey take, as i'm sure you know yourself. Regards reference to it as the 'Young Shield' if it ends up being called that they clearly failed to come up with a title. In all the communications and press releases pre-season there was no mention of it being the 'Young Shield'. Maybe they've been holding out for a sponsor and alas now realize the 'Barclay's 7-12 Trophy' or 'Budweiser 7-12 Cup' ain't going to happen lol. Agree totally.
  7. To make it easier for fans i'm just bumping the fact that there is a MiniMax racecard available for tonight's meeting as the original mention is buried somewhere pages back. MiniMax Racecards - Swedish Play Offs Q-Final 2nd Leg, INDIANERNA Vs. HAMMARBY (Wednesday) http://speedway.manc.../racecards.html Let's hope for another nice little meeting tonight on Premier Sports in the UK and on screens in Sweden, Poland and the WORLD!
  8. Yeah got to remember we here again for Elitserien plus also the Sky match is on King's Lynn Vs Birmingham. Many thanks.
  9. Indeed. Hey GW seeing as you here can i ask with the final being on consecutive days, if the first leg is rained off presumably the second leg becomes the first? Also, have SWEMO given reserve days for restaging either the same or following week for postponements?
  10. OK guess that last heat dashes the hopes of the super-optimistic Vastervik fans, Dackarna ARE through now.
  11. A second place by a Dackarna rider = Dackarna through. TV just said a 5-1 for the visitors seals the win? have i got my maths wrong? 16 point gap four heats to go. Surely a 2-4 does the job or am i having a mental blank? UPDATE..AHA! i forgetting about the string of possible 5-0 heat wins. Nothing in life can be taken for certain. OK i been up since 5am and only two hours sleep i filled heat 12 in wrong lol my bad.
  12. I wasn't referring to the intermissons, but the gap between races. Getting the feeling that if there is a restart the pit gate will not only be shut but have armed guards.
  13. A question for you Rocky, Does that relegate Blayne Scroggins to the status of that bloke who holds the fan for Nicki Pedersen?
  14. Vastervik a three man team at the moment. Good win by Ljung there. Nice to see the good racing still going on. They seems to be very little delay between heats. Take note UK promoters now that it's getting even cooler and wetter.
  15. Don't we have a poster on here who is fanatic about MJJ? Will he surface now? NIce ride though.
  16. Aha so they do get paid bonus points. I wonder what percentage of those ppoints were true team riding or just trailing behind his team mate? Hope he does well tonight though and every night. Heat one what a great start and a well earned true team riding bonus point, alas got squeezed out by Jonsson for the top places.
  17. Dudek slipping clutch or wrist or concentration? OK i get it Freddie Lindgren comes in as a reserve replacement! Welcome Alan, all is great with a new 3 year NFL tv deal lol. Hang on, you read and UNDERSTAND the Wall Street Journal, i feel all thick all of a sudden.
  18. Great to know that we've already got secured another year's coverage of the Elitserien on Premier Sports here in the UK. Along with many i'm only just recovering from the trauma of having the NFL tv deal settled the day before the opening game! Ouchee very loud P.A. system i need subtitles. Fortunately, it won't be on during the actual races but not great sound level mixing right now. Hopefully, it's only the pre-meeting.
  19. Thanks for the date update. By the way you forgot to mention the 7-12 Trophy! http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=69293 That's a rare spelling of the word Nonsense. I'll forgive seeing as you've undertaken such effort on your constructive and well thought out contribution to the thread.
  20. OMG! 'The Donut is dead........Long live the Dave Goddard' I've added the second semi-final now too, it wasn't available earlier. Obviously it's worth bearing in mind that the Wednesday line-up is at the same stage of declaration as a Sunday one for the regular weekly Tuesday fixtures. As ever worth waiting as long as one can before taking it as gospel. MiniMax Racecards - Swedish Play Offs Q-Final 2nd Leg, VÄSTERVIK Vs. DACKARNA (Tuesday) MiniMax Racecards - Swedish Play Offs Q-Final 2nd Leg, INDIANERNA Vs. HAMMARBY (Wednesday) http://speedway.manc.../racecards.html
  21. The provisional line-ups for the first of the two quarter-final second legs have been announced and i've yet to see any news of injuries or other changes. Therefore, i've placed the MiniMax racecard online. As usual any late team changes will be updated to the racecard tomorrow. The first leg was of course a 53-37 victory for Dackarna, so a hefty 16 point deficit to be made up by Västervik MiniMax Racecards - Swedish Play Offs Q-Final 2nd Leg, VÄSTERVIK Vs. 22. I've searched this forum and also with Google and whilst i see references to the extended cut-off date for the play-offs, i can't find mention of the actual date. Just thought i'd point out a possible victim of the cut-off if it were to be say September the 6th or 9th. The Projected Points feature of the MiniMax league tables have had six sides pretty much clear ahead of the rest for quite a while now. Other systems such as the plus/minus are shockingly pointless and inaccurate until the final table or in the last few weeks before it. I notice that Rye House have occupied a top five or six spot for months in that system! However, i digress. Edinburgh in the projected points* are well clear of Ipswich. Yet in the live table, although they have three matches in hand, are only one point ahead of Ipswich. Now if the cut-off, for example was to be 6th September when Ipswich host Edinburgh and they were to beat them they would overtake them and claim a play-off spot. Edinburgh host Ipswich the next day but if that was rained off a cut-off date a few days later would still see Ipswich gain. * (an extrapolation of how the teams stand as of right now, not a prediction of final points, but remarkably accurate when it comes to finishing positions - and reflects a change of form instantly) So hopefully the cut-off date is a little while away and Edinburgh can get some fixtures in. Surely no club would want to miss out on meetings that should attract good crowds. I've put the matches and points first in order to make the tables more readable as there doesn't seem to be a table facilty enabled with this forum. 23. As has been the case across the world since the sport began and thousands upon thousands of occasions once again the racing improves as the meeting progresses. All in all i certainly enjoyed it without a shadow of a doubt. OK take care all i outta here.
  24. Excellent heat win for Hammarby then. Heat 15 should be a belter and the big question is 'to Iversen or not to Iversen'? Two wins, an exclusion and a duck egg. Actually i don't think he's within his sides top three scorers which would render the question and decision mute.
