Could do with a Dackarna win here to make the second leg more appealing. -

Ouch that sounds like an unwanted adventure. Tell you what Alan you do get to see a good amount of speedway over there thanks to modern technology. UK, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Russian and the SGP and WTC. Good job as it would seem negotiations are dragging on without conclusion between Fox, CBS, ESPN, ABC et al and Sky in getting the Elite League on to American screens! -

Cheers Alan and hopefully there haven't been any late team changes affecting the card. Only looking at the static tv camera shot in place right now and it looks like quite a few of the crowd never made it? Did they all watch the NFL! -

Thanks for the update and even more thanks if you fibbing so i don't feel sad lol. I'm certainly feeling the effects of an American Football double header which went on to around 7AM UK time. Only grabbed two hours sleep and been quite busy out and about today. Didn't get to seee the Tennis but guess i'll still be hearing about if for a whole week going by media coverage so far. -

Hee hee. Looks like Matt Ford has a Swedish relative with pulling a team line-up stroke like that. Despite spending time in the BSF i've not become overly paranoid or distrustful so i won't Google that and instead take it to mean thank you very much lol. Best i can do is 'Tack så mycket' for the 'Tack så mycket'. -
I've mentioned several times in the past all credit to barrow boy for doing something on behalf of fans. I only pointed out that with just a little more effort they could be improved and not be a meaningless blind printing out of the plus/minus points. Without additional info being shown they can't have any substance. Barrow Boy it's not a question of merely 'believing' that one system is better than the other. I have in a forum thread in the past and on the MiniMax webpage explained why the MiniMax ones 'are' very useful and more accurate over other systems. I won't bother reproducing here as the reasoning and explanation is on the MiniMax league tables page http://speedway.manc...et/leagues.html As with for example with racecards i couldn't agree more with you on the each to his or her own. Even with an awful racecard if people prefer it and download then well 100% perfectly fine and great for all concerned. Lol i for one certainly wouldn't have expected you to get upset at someone presenting valid reasons for stating that one system (MiniMax) is superior to another (plus/minus). Presumably, you'd just reply with counter arguments or not as you may wish, all cool. I would ask you though that surely you must see how inaccurate they have been all season long with Rye House just being a single example?. Anyways no problem and good for you that you make the effort.

Just got home a little while ago and have put the racecard online. AVAILABLE NOW MiniMax Racecards - Swedish Play Offs Semi-Final 1st Leg, DACKARNA Vs. PIRATERNA http://speedway.manc.../racecards.html Incidentally, should anyone ever need it (in the UK???) the 'C More' tv website does work in Google Chrome. It is an ongoing Beta version which may explain why i had difficulty accessing it in IE. -
Lol re the Cricket. Fisticuffs tend to add to the drama/entertainment of certain sports, however unless one is breeding Chavs most parents* would not feel comfortable letting children witness such heavy swearing in a SPORTING environment. *(Chavs who have had Chavs aside). I hope Nicki Pedersen didn't see the recent incident in NASCAR where they recently instigated leeway in a 'Let boys have at it' attitude - actually meant for the racing on track. One top echelon driver, Tony Stewart, who was well miffed at having been shunted off the track upon sighting the culprit coming down pit road took off and hurled his helmet at the car scoring a direct hit. No fines were inficted either. Got to admit it was a little dangerous as fortunately it hit the front grille of the car and not the windscreen. OK let's have a sweepstakes as to who will be the first GP rider to throw his helmet at a rider lol, or has it already been done?

No mention on Premier Sports or elsewhere yet as to which semi-final is being televised. Right now i'm watching NFL in the early hours of Monday morning so i'll check back later today for the latest news of team line-ups. There are going to be changes to the published provisional listings due to injury. Dackarna are likely to be hardest hit. Tai Woffinden crashed in Poland on Sunday and is reported to have a dislocated shoulder. He's said he is not riding for Wolverhampton on Monday nor for Dackarna on Tuesday. He's aiming to be back racing in Poland next Sunday. His Dackarna teamate Andreas Jonsson has concussion and is dizzy and nauseous. His doctors have said he should rest for a week. The rider himself will not race if he doesn't feel well. He's going to decide on the day itself as to whether he takes part. He has been listed and they will run rider replacement if he doesn't appear. Vetlanda's Thomas H. Jonasson went to hospital after a crash Sunday in Poland. Hmmm a recurring theme there most weeks lol. However, they do have Hampel back in the team. Piraterna fielding the current top two in the world Holder and Hancock, very nice! I'll put online the MiniMax racecard once it's been established which match is being shown. I tried going to the C More Swedish site and clicking on the tv listings but it just resolves to a general page advertising movies with the 'sport' link not working. -
New Zealand Sgp 2013?
manchesterpaul replied to Lake Bodom Comet's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Whilst the European GP's can't usually avoid clashing with other big sporting events due to there being so many, i'm a little surprised that care wasn't taken to avoid a clash in New Zealand. It certainly cuts down on prospective coverage for the SGP across the media. Maybe it is the only date available for various reasons? -
Other than the fact he directed an insult at the referee, i don't think the use of the word 'tosser' is a biggie. However, a prolonged two finger salute coupled with a hefty verbal '**** off' is way out of order. I totally disagree with calls for tv cameras not to be allowed to interview riders when an incident is happening or just occurred. It adds great interest to an event and broadcast. Why should we miss out on the vast majority of acceptable interviews because a rider has used offensive words?. Sort that niggle out by incurring fines and, if repeated, points deductions for bringing the sport into disrepute. Ok not a large deduction as one could receive for repeated foul riding but take away a few points. Alternatively make the fines punitive. I look forward to every interview snippet with the riders it's a much needed informative insight. It's interesting to see if a rider is angry about an incident or accepting something as 'stuff happens' and is able to imperviously move on without it affecting his performance in the races ahead. Most sportsmen can express their distaste or rage at an incident without swearing when in front of a tv camera.

Hmmm! not sure how contructive a reply that is in response to the post below. Also what have 'forecasts' got to do with anything. I've already mentioned it's not predictive, it's a portrayal of how teams stand at that moment in time. In case you failed to see this post below i reproduce it as in my opinion i reckon it applies once more.

Surely a monthly post that has Rye House in the top five teams for most of the year, unlike the MIniMax tables, are candidates for 'nonsense posts of the year'?. I hope that that particular system catches up soon only i notice that Rye House are now finally in the actual current league table in 12th position (which also has now caught up with the MIniMax). Not sure what you perceive as nonsense when the MiniMax tables year after year give a clear and true indication of how teams actually stand for a long time before the actual tables do , and a very long time - not far off the end of season - before other 'systems' do. All it needs is a glance and you can see where teams stand.
