Thanks for that it looks a very nice update page. Will it be updating heat-by-heat or in batches? Saturday evening has a plethora of great sports events running alongside each other but i shall certainly fit that update page on to a screen somewhere lol. It's going to be after midnight when we finally hit the town though because of it all!

I've just come on to ask if there will be ANY tv cameras present at the track. If so it would have been a nice little extra for Premier Sports to slot in. As they also do streaming in addition to their tv subscriptions they could gain one-off income for the meeting. Although i guess that would have depended what's on their schedule UPDATE EDIT Went and had a glance and they have programmed a French rugby union league match between Toulouse and Toulon! I so had to resort to Wikipedia to find out what a 'Top 14' match was. I had presumed it was rugby's version of football's European Cup but nope nothing so grand. As for the SGP Challenge there are some iffy riders in there and i also fear a rider who will be outclassed in the series itself getting lucky on the day. Shades of the considerable downside of the old one-off World Finals looming.

Mildenhall V I.o.w 23rd Sept ....off
manchesterpaul replied to fentigers79's topic in National League Speedway
As i was typing the post i was trying to think of specific fixtures. I'm thinking particularly of the 70's! I was a child when i used to watch Belle Vue at Hyde Road. I've got a vague memory of something like a 'Northern Trophy' match also counting as a League fixture, or some similar combination. I was more thinking on the lines more recent times not involving Belle Vue. Speedway wouldn't be alone in doing this as international football has done it too. Cheers i was just about to point that out. -
Mildenhall V I.o.w 23rd Sept ....off
manchesterpaul replied to fentigers79's topic in National League Speedway
Was about to suggest they might do what clubs have done before in the past and instead of a double header have a single match count for both competitions. However, as i logged in the press officer's statement appeared. Hopefully the fact that Mildenhall are prepared to stage two seperate meetings (not sure how much interest riders or fans have in the National Trophy?) is a heartwarming sign that the club are doing well, very much bucking the national trend. A double header would beg the question which match comes first the important play-off semi-final (in case rain arrives) or the 'trophy' match. If the latter that would mean forcing fans to watch a match they may prefer not too lol. Pretty much joking to a fair extent on that last comment and also of course National League clubs stage far fewer meetings than the higher leagues so therefore have an appetite for as many matches they can get?. -

Cheers for that much appreciated. I never got time to watch the semi-final links but certain i can find the time for the finals. Polish speedway has the lot top riders and usually large crowds and great atmosphere. I hear some of the tracks are quite big and racy too! My Lady will do a lot of things but she won't do that! i'm sure that's a song lyric too. -
Both and all very welcome. Again i can't stress enough that everyone has their favourite format absolutely nothing wrong with that. I've still got the MiniMax league tables and play-offs etc to keep updating so clearly my wickedness dues are not paid up yet. Unlike last year i won't be toddling off on a four month holiday two days after the season ends, however rest assured, i won't be spending my time tweaking the cards. I leave the BSF, Speedway Star etc behind come the end of the season and tune in again very late February or early March to see what surprises good and bad the new season is to hold!

Best joke of the night by far lol. Alas, once again i won't get to watch the magnificence that is Polish speedway simply clashes with multiple sports tomorrow. Hopefully with Torun being the last meeting of the series and not Vojens fans and those negotiating media contracts will be left wanting more. Lol now there's a thought i wonder if i can get to the shops to buy some more tv's in time. Unfortunately, i've just posted at the same time i won't get to watch it as i still only got the one pair of eyes and ears and a limited brain capacity. Man's multi-tasking limited to pressing remote control button and scratching one's proverbials at the same time. -

MJJ win also increases the headache for the 2013 series wild card selectors. Do either Holder or Pedersen ride for Torun? Or is it not that much of a factor as all the top riders have raced there so often. Goosebumps getting bigger and only 13 and a half days to go lol. -

God forbid if Holder doesn't make the final as Nicki wil be like a demon possessed in the final with a chance to take the championship lead ahead of next week. Forget about the rule don't try to pass Nicki on the outside, just don't dare try pass him anywhere. -

The tv team talking about riders being cautious picking up injuries before the final round. I always check the news from the injury carnage that Poland has become on a Sunday with bated breath. -

Ouch, wouldn't be so bad except i'm guessing it's not as if Haderslev has many/any other events bringing money in to the town or region like the SGP does. We've had a year of fantastic GP's but the casual tv viewer was too busy with the Olympics and various other major events to happen upon the speedway. The one weekend when there isn't that much else on and the riders are frequently strung out. Hampel must have Uri Geller tuning his engines tonight. Nice qualification battle looming in heat 20 between Lindgren and MJJ. Only slight problem for them Nicki Pedersen and Emil Sayfutdinov in the race too. Got to admit despite being English i don't think i'd miss Chris Harris trundling around when one could have one of the new rising stars, or rider's showing much better ability who are on the verge of a wild card place. It is a great shame as Harris can be a fantastic racer and he poured a lot of money into his equipment this year. His absence wouldn't stop me watching a GP for one second. -

What's the reason Vojens is being dropped for next year? Is it something to do with construction or not at all. Whilst the racing is pretty poor so far, not for the first time at that track, the Italian GP is usually no better and held in front of a minsicule crowd. It's better for the sport to have a crowd of 17,000 (figure quoted by the Sky team) bored to tears than a 3,000 crowd bored to tears lol. Heat points from those gates just as bad for blue. 22 12 19 19 Very nice by MJJ. -

NIce to see Chris Holder win that one, you don't want to drop a point in a race you are clear favourite to win. Nicki will be hoping gate two has improved (2 and 2 pts last two races including Ljung!)
