Valiant effort by Rosen but was pipped to the flag, not by Hampel but by Jonasson. -

We'll likely need to have pens at the ready for the racecards tomorrow night as might be some late team declarations. The 'broken-footed' Ruud out for sure. UK tv commentator already got it figured out, reckoning rider replacement for Ruud and Nobby coming in for Piotr. -

Gonna be a delay. Ruud up on to stretcher now. Yayyyyyyyy! Piotr up too now. Ruud leg injury into ambulance and Piotr wincing with pain while holding his arm/shoulder/collar bone but walking away. Limping away more accurately. -

Ouch proper pile up and bad landing for Hancock although he's up now. Plus two riders into the fence with one still under (Piotr Pawlicki). Hancock locking up caused the crash but Ruud and Pawlicki coming off worse. -

Reserve race now a repeat of the 5-1 in the first one would do Piraterna nicely. -

To an extent you could say the same for Piraterna in view of their troubles assembling a team to face a very strong Vetlanda side. Back in August when they had Sundstrom and the other Pawlicki they only won at home 46-44. Unfortunately a 39-51 lost in Vetlanda doesn't bode well for their title ambitions. -

Interval gives me time to set up Man United's Champions League match and one other, yet to decide which. Rooney, Hernandez and Van Persie all starting against the Romanians! Good job for them we got some injuries elsewhere in the team. -

Hate it when customer services say things like that, especially as most times they are hinting the fault is at the customer's end, and i've never phoned up with a fault at my end. Oh well they KNOW NOW. Crump roars from last to first. Thomas H is the victor in a good race for second place over Janowski. Madsen and Ruud pairing out again and have Hancock and Rosen to race. And a 4-2 for Piraterna slightly unexpected. Raining a little now. Last race before the interval and Holder not holding back at all, sweeping around full throttle to the front. Crump doing a Chris Harris GP impression well behind the field. -

Sayfutdinov and Holder going at it in style despite the state of the track, Hampel not a factor, indeed Janowski pips him for a point. -

First race that was strung out all four riders as Ruud and Madsen follow up their H1 5-1 with another. I presume you'll get a refund? Not that that matters right now. -

Wonder if they'll give Piotr a rest from his scheduled ride in the next race avoiding two on the trot. Although with R/R going on they could hold back. Nope, Piotr must be a wicked man.....no rest for him. -

!!!! PIOTR PAWLICKI AT THE TAPES I bet Chris Holder is getting nervy after seeing Emil lock up during that race. Pawlicki completed the race and didn't trundle around. -

Wow cheers for that speedy insight, i was about to ask. Have you got an English commentary option on that page? It would save you from my prattlings a little. I'll still mutter away anyway if summat worth muttering about. Up to now Piraterna's two reserves have shown good form, very necessary as they'll be taking extra rides now with Piotr's injury. -

The Premier Sports TV feed had a single two second freeze in the way that satellite signals sometimes do. Other than that it's been faultless. To clarify i receive the tv signal not the internet stream. -

H4: Hancock manages to battle past Crump after initially being pressed to the outside. A great duel to the line for third place to ending up with Rosen giving Thomas H Jonasson his second last place finish. Geeeeez! i hope Yellow Pages don't get their numbers mixed up or i will be disappointed later tonight lol. -

Alan seeing that you haven't hired a Polish Au Pair yet (hey tell your Lady it will save her housework) and gradually improve your comprehension of the Polish language, if desperate you can always use Google Translate and read the heat reports on Sportofaktwe. I fear though the first words of Polish you will learn will be on the lines of "No Alan No i'll tell your wife if you try that again" Fine swoop into the lead from Janowski in the reserves race. Good to see you got your stream working GW. H3: despite duck egg in his first ride Zengota beats Sayfutdinov and Hampel! avoiding an expected 1-5 in my eyes. -

Fingers crossed that Chris Holder avoids injury on this track tonight. I'd love to see him crowned World Champion. Don't know if he has any more meetings this week aside from the two legs of this final. -

Awful news about the stream Alan. I trust you got a good updates site on hand. There's the Sportofaktewe one and the Swedish ones that Ghostwalker usually has the link to. They are working on the track at the moment as it's a little wet to say the least. A great crowd in attendance. Premier Sports have been told it's likely a 6:30-6:40 start (BST). Maybe a stream will still appear once the meeting starts?. I've only just managed to get home in time for the meeting but will have a quick shufty for links, although yourself and R & R normally know all the sources to check. -

I also saw that article (Linda) yesterday but it isn't the one i was referring to as being from a large media source. The one i saw was updated this morning......however......no biggie and i'm certainly siding with yourself on this at the moment. Especially so taking into account this business of the mandatory number of Swedish riders being requisite. Anyway catch you all later for the meeting. -

Don't hang them just yet, as i pointed out Google Translate struggles with Swedish and Polish so it wasn't crystal clear they were stating he would actually race tonight. Unless you've seen the articles yourself and therefore know they are wrong. I can't recall the source of the big article but it's a large media name in Sweden (i think), the other one was from svt.se I'm guessing it does seem as if they are again initially overlooking the mandatory number of Swedish riders that have to be in the team. Hopefully it's the journalists who are and not the team managers!. Anyway all cool, i've not changed anything and will be glad if it stays that way. -
If i was a rider i'd so be in place at the tapes the second the checkered flag had dropped on the preceding race. I'd sit there and enjoy the show while the other fools are tinkering with their gears and stuff. UPDATE just seen a particularly tuneful song and provocative dance as i'm typing so if i was a rider i'd leave the bike with the start marshall and join the ladies in their dancing. I do agree such a lively presentation adds to the atmosphere of a meeting. Whilst i go for the speedway, such a show would make it more fun for a lot of people and assist in leaving a 'joyful' impression of the evening.
