  1. Sportowefakty on the same date as your source published a different riding order for Poland with Hampel and Janowski as the starting pairing and Dudek the reserve. Hopefully we'll get clarification today rather than on the day of the meeting itself! I've not had a Google around yet, might do one later if nobody comes up with a confirmed Polish line-up. "Famous stores for SBPC in Eskilstuna. Hampel, Janowski and Dudek in the frame Polish" "In the statement of the Polish national team saw changes relative to the last round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup . Krzysztof Kasprzak change Maciej Janowski , a reserve on the team white and red will Patryk Dudek ." http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/439517/znane-sklady-na-sbpc-w-eskilstunie-hampel-dudek-i-janowski-w-kadrze-polski UPDATE: Just had a quick Google found a Swedish article dated more recently that agrees with Sportowefakty, and a One Sport article dated 16th May that agrees with the Swedish source you linked to!
  2. Apparently the track on Tuesday was still quite heavy and damp so they are hoping for a day of sunshine before the meeting. TV meeting racecard AVAILABLE NOW FREE Wednesday, 21st, May, 2014. MiniMax Racecard Danske Liga Slangerup vs. Munkebo
  3. You mean being flaunted were Naked Knees! wondered why i was struck temporarily blind

  5. Ok got a good evening ahead and that was a very enjoyable start to the night. Tonight we saw why so many of us regulars love our Elitserien, somehow i don't think as many Swedes are thinking they love the UK Elite League, not everything in the universe balances up lol. Thank you Eurosport, the riders and for those who used it Sopcast.
  6. EH!!!!! ummm no apply my previous response Hee! Hee!
  7. Was delighted to see that comment before the meeting but never thought it would necessarily be this good, it's been a meeting with good racing and a great contest.
  8. We're getting a great match here indeed. Jonasson in desperation tried to take a short cut at the end of the race there lol. Yeah no sweat i did take in your original observation that some of the passing had been because of a lesser skilled rider initially being in front and not able to maintain his position. My only two points made were that, as you agree, we are getting good races. My main point is that every sporting action and contest in the world is based on competitors being of, or performing at, different skill levels. Every advantage or change in position is either a more skilled competitor having the know how to best the lesser skilled one or the latter making a mistake or currently lacking the knowledge to maintain a position. Whichever it is in any given situation gives rise to sporting action.
  9. How do these attendances compare to season averages? Good, bad, so-so?
  10. But the thing is you can apply such thinking to every sporting action in the world. If a footballer dribbles past a defender do you say that was a great thing to see or do you heartily bemoan that the defender was a thickie for letting him get past lol lol. At the end of the day it resulted in a dribble past a player or in the case of speedway an overtake, both of which are pleasurable to witness.
  11. After using 'live pause' i'm a few mins behind at the moment but heat 10 excellent throughout. I did say to the critics of week one that it was conditions that made for poor racing on that day. Aha! interval allows me to fast forward to being live lol.
  12. Indians doing remarkably well when from 6 races their reserves have a single point compared to 10 from five races for the opposition.
  13. Does an inside pass not count as a pass? UPDATE: Wow i certainly enjoyed that inside pass by Iversen in heat 9 counts as a pass for me Lol
  14. Meanwhile here one wonders if Emil can gain only his second race win of the season in heat 9!
  15. As far as i am aware it's the first time we've had that problem and of course the fault can certainly lie with other than Eurosport. I'm just wallowing in getting to see the Elitserien in HD.
  16. Heat 6 even 'good-er' race of the night so far i think. Well done Prota.
  17. Standard of racing is down to using the race format to match up riders of equal ability in a race, something that the Elite League may have done this year in the UK? In recent years we've had two races in one with two top-ish riders and two stragglers in a large percentage of races. In Poland and Sweden you get to see more competitive races with a top rider in as there are more top riders to go round and you don't get one sole rider above three lesser ones as often. Also can't disagree with Alan's point that they can and do attract extra fans - of course enough to pay the increased wage bill is in the UK doubtful. Mind you going to a meeting to see a top rider was considerably more of a factor when i was a little kid and you you'd only get to see Riders like Ivan Mauger and Peter Collins once a year (unless you drew them in the cup competition).
  18. We need to get him a mini Abacus with only four beads on it so he can check each lap off. Uh Oh be careful what you wish for....cue Pearson and Tatum muscling in to commentary box thinking they been called up by Screamer lol.
  19. Maybe it because he started out calling the first race heat 2! Gee blonde with the baby gave a right slightly prolonged Linda Blair glare when she spotted the TV camera focusing on her - Regan reincarnated or what! lol. Jack seems to have done or been given research on riders which is great. Although he needs to be genned up a little more on Godlund as it's no surprise if he's slightly out of his depth, he hasn't really scored heavy in the Allsvenskan league as far as i can remember? Is Jack psychic when he called the winner after 3 laps and did he try and do a good save after that lol.
  20. I bet a miffed SVEMO employee snuck in and sabotaged the starting gate lol.
  21. Got to admit Vetlanda line-up looking like a speedway version of the all-star Harlem Globetrotters lol. Just wish the UK could get their speedway house in order, both Denmark and Sweden seem to have rejuvenated the sport in their countries and we all know abut the phenomenon which is Polish speedway. Afternoon, to be honest he gets such a beat down on these forums but he does have some good technical and riding insights but he simply is not cut out to be speak on tv (or radio one presumes), anyways the speedway is the most important thing. Even if it should turn out to be an easy win i'll be enjoying every moment of seeing most of these riders.
  22. Great news that the TV argument has been put to bed and we can enjoy not only tonight's Indianerna-Vetlanda match but the whole Swedish season They certainly have the possibility of an easy win on paper and one would expect them to win tonight but they haven't impressed in their two matches so far. Particularly surprising was their opening day loss to league new boys Rospiggarna. Jaroslaw Hampel had a super unbeaten evening in their win last time out at home against Smederna but perhaps the key to an easy win tonight will be if Emil Sayfutdinov races up to par after two pretty poor showings this season scoring 4 and 5 with only one race win out of eight rides! Come on Emil treat us, gate last and come from behind to win like so many times before
  23. I'm so bored with this......where do we go from here? Well let's be clear, i'm staying not going anywhere and i'll be posting my minimal 5 to 6 lines of text including shock horror the two red lines! If people can't handle that maybe they should consider seeking some form counselling lol lol. JOKE! lol.
  24. This match is being shown on Sky Sports FREE AVAILABLE as of NOW! Direct download from the page, Monday, 19th, May, 2014. Local Time 7:30pm, BST 7:30pm, UTC/GMT 6:30pm MiniMax Racecard Elite League Lakeside vs. King's Lynn MiniMax Extended Racecard Elite League Lakeside vs. King's Lynn
  25. Ouch Woffinden losing it there when he had it in the bag but still good to see a big improvement in his performance. Congrats to Zagar he was in position to take advantage. As feared out of the three major events i was watching at the same time the SGP proved to be the runt of the litter as both the FA Cup Final and the Spanish title decider were very entertaining. Sadly for any newcomers prepared to give the SGP a second chance next up is Prague!
