  1. Yeah R & R that's what i said above, i've never doubted it until i had a look at the racecard linked to by the official site. On reflection, i think it's clear now that that card is just wrongly formatted in it's layout and has the gate number and rider numbers inverted, no biggie. Incidentally, the make-up of the teams is as follows: (a refresher if this has been given before) All drivers are in season opener assigned a category (A, B, C or D), where A is the absolute top drivers, B-drivers are the drivers which is just below the absolute elite C-drivers are drivers with a certain experience while D-drivers primarily the new Danish talents. Team total value shall be 24 and must be at least 19 Includes: A drivers with the value 8 B drivers with the value 6 C riders with the value 3 D drivers of value 1 There must be max. be an A-running team. There must be max. to be three B-riders on the team. There must be max. be three drivers who are not Danish parent club and Danish license. The team must consist of at least a D-drivers or alternatively a U21-running Danish parent club and Danish license. Apologies my posts are getting spaced out, there was a short occasion one couldn't use the break line, but the glitch now is with the line spacing.
  2. Lol very good post and vitally informative, i'll adjust my tour of USA tracks accordingly (then again Latino Ladies can be quite beautiful and they may have start line girls...ok unlikely they do). Have a safe flight mate. Make sure you tell the pilot not to fly too low approaching the airport as those thieving scallies in the suburbs will whip of the tyres from the undercarriage.
  3. Many thanks for printing that out pandorum and Gray for finding it.. Looks like they've pasted from the official regulations in the document that i referred to in my last post. Thing is, the above section like i said looks relatively coherent but......if you refer to where they mention exceptions - they have in brackets at the end of the lines above a reference to further regulations - wow i got so lost it was unfathomable. They have several grids showing the exceptions, maybe i was just too busy/tired to take it in? Looking at what you've posted above, i'll re-read the section later that begins with "Substitutes with the numbers..." as that may be a verbalization of the grids, in which case second dollop of thanks for finding that to Gray and pandorum for printing it. One thing i can do that might be of help is give the following. I think i've got the helmet colours correct presuming that in the translated cyrilic it had K, C, B, F and i've changed that to R, B, W, Y. as three of those converted to latin were pretty certain to represent what i thought. RUSSIAN LEAGUE Heat/Rider number/Helmet Colour 1~~~ 9 R, 1 W, 10 B, 2 Y. 2~~~ 13 R, 3 W, 14 B, 4 Y. 3~~~ 1 W, 11 R, 2 Y, 12 B. 4~~~ 3 W, 9 R, 4 Y, 10 B. Break 5~~~ 14 R, 5 W, 13 B, 6 Y. 6~~~ 2 W 12 R 1 Y 11 B 7~~~ 10 R, 4 W, 9 B, 3 Y. Break 8~~~ 11 R, 3 W, 12 B, 4 Y. 9~~~ 6 W 13, R 5, Y, 14 B. 10~~~ 1W, 9 R, 2 Y, 10 B. Break 11~~~ 12 R, 6 W, 11 B, 5 Y. 12~~~ 3 W, 10 R, 4 Y, 9 B. 13~~~ 11 R, 1W, 12 B, 2 Y. Break 14~~~ 4 W, 12 R, 3 Y, 11 B. 15~~~ 10 R, 2 W, 9 B, Y 1. Home team 9-16 and reserves 15 & 16 Red & Blue Away team 1-8 and reserves 7 & 8 White & Yellow You'll have to check during the next televised meeting if the above is correct only i had to presume there were a couple of typos in the converting of the document, especially Yellow in Heat 15. Incidentally i would print the official regulations at source only Google Chrome doesn't seem to allow you to copy and paste the translated DOCUMENT. I know it's simple to copy and paste normally in Google Chrome but it seems to prevent you doing the same with a pdf document. However, if you have the inkling to do so the three steps in my previous post does come up with the official regulations in readable English.
  4. Weather forecast at the moment for tomorrow afternoon and early evening is risk of rain followed by risk of light rain. A couple of others have no rain then light rain, so we should be good. I can indeed manage to do racecards for both of the matches on Monday and Wednesday. Although the actual racecard won't be affected in that they are the two nominated heats, there does seem to be a conflict from the racecard that was linked to on the official site of the league the other week. It's of the grid style design and in the column headings above the nominated heats 13 and 14 it reads: Heat 13 HOME 2-4 AWAY 1-3 Heat 14 HOME 1-3 AWAY 2-4 However, according to the official site (via Google Translate hmmm lol); Heat 13: Consists of two of each team's three lowest scorers, Including bonus and joker points. Heat 14: Consists of each team's two highest scorer's, including bonus and joker points. At first i thought the 2-4 and 1-3 must clearly be referring to gate positions (it may well very likely indeed be the case), however they are printed on the line that contains heat numbers. Then to confuse matters further on the line above the 2-4 and 1-3 are the the numbers 13 and 14, so i'm inclined to think that they are the gate draws. So we shall see what transpires, however, it does not affect the racecard's heat line-ups as the nominated ones are obviously empty. After seeing what happens on Monday the card for Wednesday will have the heats 13 and 14 clarified. Too be honest as i'm typing this it does seem as they are the gate numbers. If anyone can confirm this i'll go ahead and add them to Monday's card. As with the Swedish ones i'll make them available using the officially declared teams and then if there is news of any late team changes i'll update them. Great to have two matches this week. Nice to hear and clearly the Danish youth conveyor belt shows no sign of abating.
  5. My God man! stand up and do your duty for your country.......you want him to commit to speedway......it's simple.......show him a picture of the SGP Monster girls!
  6. PREAMBLE - FOR FANS BENEFIT NOT MINE Last season for the first time ever in all the years the thread has existed a moderator, who never stood up when asked to, removed the British Final Racecard thread and pushed it into the main thread. I've my suspicions as to who it was and the true reasons why it was done (part of a clique comes to mind). It seems very poor that fans may be denied a free service by being unaware it's available just because of a personal grudge held by one with the power to delete threads. I expressed that i thought the removal of the racecard thread for the meeting was a very poor decision indeed. Within a few hours one had to backtrack several pages just to find the original post stating there is a card. Other providers bumped their card a page or so later. When there is a specific aspect to a meeting or competition it is neccessary and prudent for it to have it's own thread. You get a wasteful surge of bandwidth usage in everyone having to plough back page, after page, after page to find mention of that clearly specific aspect (in this case available racecards). You get repeated posts asking if there is a racecard and then subsequent repeat postings from those who are providing a card to tell them yes. You get repeated 'bump' postings from providers to let fans know a card is available. If the thread is amalgamated into the 'racing' thread of the British Final then many, many fans are going to be totally unaware that they are available for it. The BSF has always been a great service for providing users with information or access to it. We quite rightly have 'weekly' threads for the international leagues and individual threads for Elite, Premier and National League matches. It seems very odd that fans are expected to try and find links for racecards by trawling through page after page of posts. Is it possible for a Moderator (ideally the one who removed the racecard post) to give a reason if it's to be removed. If it's to save space i should mention that there are currently many trivial threads all over the forums which don't provide anything tangible for the fans. One particular thread of a now huge size is total nonsense and contains many posts that break several laws. The space it has taken with it's often offensive content would cater for many genuine threads full of interest and information. I'll hastily point out that the cards are free contain no advertising or personal opinions. There is no personal gain from them nor personal 'fame' lol they are issued under a penname for goodness sake. They are provided simply as a free service for fans and the BSF has always been a great conveyor of such things. Additionally, the actual number of downloads for this meeting is exceptionally high, there is a very surprising amount of keen interest in it. This year the line-up actually looks very good too. OK NECESSARY WAFFLE OVER. From tomorrow evening (Sunday) there will be TWO MiniMax racecards available for the British Final, the traditional one that has been provided in the past and......yep ya guessed it.......the unique and TRULY innovative DUAL GRID version. I'm just holding back until then until the weekend UK meetings and the Sunday Polish League have finished in case of injuries.
  7. I don't think it's quite a wasteland as you think Alan. Although weighing up the population of the United States to speedway attendances you are more likely to bump into someone on the street who can explain Quantum Physics in minute detail than tell you they have been to a speedway meeting lol. In California: Every Wednesday: Industry Hills (they staged the very successful Monster event a few months ago) Every Friday: Auburn Every Friday: San Bernadino Every Saturday: Costa Mesa Other tracks staging meetings or 'a' meeting in Cali are: Victorville, Ventura, also i think Perris will stage the American Longtrack championship. Indiana: Indianapolis New York: Owego Florida: Mesa Park, Fellsmere I think there are a few more dotted here and there but haven't got the time right now to check and it's not an American speedway thread anyway lol. Incidentally, whilst entering Speedway into an American search engine of any kind will result in Nascar/Motor Car racing there are a vast number of local dirt track stadiums that sprint cars race on. I recently saw a list giving details of 1,000 of them. There seem to be as many local dirt tracks as there are local football pitches in the UK, ok a slight exaggeration lol. The network is always there for some Middle Eastern billionaire who wants to set up a sport, or even a group of 'Promoters' to set up a speedway club league. One would hope that the local team aspect would work better than mindnumbing scratch races.
  8. Lol re Torun. Ah! ok just read the preview, the season hadn't started yet you know lol.
  9. Agree totally with the absolute windfall of publicity, many sports would have begged and crawled on their hands and knees for the 'televised hours' speedway has had. Kept meaning to ask who is this Shakespeare bloke you and others have mentioned, does he live down your street or summat! lol. Hey just think in a hundred years time that phrase will be replaced by people saying it's a tragedy of GoSpeed International proportions. hee hee.
  10. Just came on to post to see if you had any information about this rider as i saw on Sportowefakte he had a great win yesterday too. I see you had already mentioned him in his previous meeting. How highly do you rate his prospects after his latest meeting? Is he likely to seek out further opportunities around Europe? Does Finland have any more potential top riders waiting to come out? From his Facebook page he looks quite a character, 16 years old with very long blond dreadlocks!
  11. I haven't got the time to do it all for you but you can get all the rules regarding meeting format and team line-ups etc. plus lots of other regulations (some very strict lol) in a single document. I've had a good look at it and was going to copy and paste parts but i really haven't got the time. The meeting format, including how many rides particular riders can take is explained very simply at first. However, if you refer to whenever it says "the exception to the rule is" well lol. I have Google Chrome set to automatically translate any foreign language page which led me instanly to the official documentation. Anyways..... 1. Go to and download http://mfr.ru/wp-con...ент-2013.pdf 2. Go to Google Translate http://translate.goo...co.uk/?hl=en-GB 3. Click on translate a document and upload it via the browse button. Hey Presto! it's all in quite good English. I've found that Polish is close to being the worst translated language with Google Translate, most others make more sense. Polish as you know is full of hilarious 'Slag' headlines and references, mind you, Italian proudly has the word for a fatherless person emblazoned frequently throughout it's speedway articles. Regards making it up as they go along, hey don't the BSPA do that with the whole season
  12. Thank you, you're welcome. Well all i can say is MY racecards ARE the BEST.......(to those who download them)........and OTHERS racecards ARE the BEST (to those who download them) Simple as that! There are many different cards for many different tastes. Anyway enough, i think the racecard thing been done to death and i don't want 'boredom' as the cause on my death certificate. Please God don't let the forum glitch and only print the first part of the above paragraph, i'll be lynched lol lol. I ended up not going out tonight so managed to format the Danish ones so fingers crossed for next week. Too be honest i want them for myself more than anything lol. I've also set up the British Final ones, including the new DUAL GRID design.
  13. Incidentally, and hoping that the translated details on the official site are up-to-date, in the 'Notes' box on the racecard i've added the rules concerning the make-up of heats 13 and 14, reserve rider rules, tactical reserves and joker double points etc. Maybe it's just me but i was unaware of what was going on at times in recent meetings lol lol. Oh well, it's staying if only to remind me with my poor memory
  14. OK i can envision that might be the case regarding tv, but how about the more 'affordable' option of bringing it to our computer screens via streaming? Premier Sports now stream the Swedish League in the UK and looking to expand it internationally, and Kanal Sport gives us free high quality streaming from the Danish League.
  15. Oh yeah that's a thought, although police often take great interest in 'civil' matters on behalf of their political masters Lol awwww that's tight.
  16. Any chance of confirming the MAY fixtures being shown? I went to Sky's speedway home page and clicked on 'Live On Sky' http://www1.skysport...speedway-on-sky May's listings are: TUESDAY 21ST MAY Berwick 19:30 Newcastle Premier League - League, Sky Sports 1 HD (19:30) *SUNDAY 26TH MAY King's Lynn 19:00 Swindon Elite League - League, Sky Sports 2 HD (19:00) MONDAY 27TH MAY Poole 19:30 King's Lynn Elite League - League, Sky Sports 1 HD (19:30) * Shurely shome mistake here! I've checked both the King's Lynn and Swindon websites and no such meeting is scheduled. Guess i'm not adding the June fixtures to my calendar any time soon with such a clanger for May present.
  17. I've got quite a busy and hectic few days coming up so not sure if i can make it in time for this coming Monday's and Wednesday's meetings, due to the British FInal and Swedish Elitserien racecards also to be done too, but i will try and start the MIniMax racecards for the Danske Liga this week if able. Goodness me! that news is gonna cause apoplexy in a few people on here who trail me around the forums lol lol, but hey as with posts on here, you can block people you don't like so nobody has to read their posts and also nobody is forcing you to download racecards etc. So leave be those who like to
  18. Lol geez my SatNav gonna blow a fuse, just hope it's not dyslexic too.
  19. I disagree with withdrawing as it hurts the teams chances right now, although with only one team getting through the race-off and that might be a tall order for us it might well be a chance to blood younger riders? I must add though he made some fantastic points and i strongly agree with a lot of what he said in this week's Speedway Star, it's well worth picking up a copy.
  20. Can't help picturing and wondering if the police will suddenly swamp a track this season with batons drawn and hurling tear gas towards the riders at the starting gate because it's gone past the curfew time! There seems to be more tracks than ever with curfew times imposed? Or has there always been and they are just getting stricter or narrower? It does seem wrong that Kent have such an early shutdown on them that will undoubtedly negatively affect crowd levels. It's very galling in that football clubs who attract far, far greater crowds, tons of litter in streets around the grounds, very high traffic levels (hey! traffic JAMS), and more prolonged noise both in AND out of the stadium are allowed to operate late into the evening. Has your club ever gone past the curfew time to finish an important meeting?, if so i'm guessing more likely in the past than in recent years, Has the local council in view of the importance of the event or rarity of the breaking of the curfew been forgiving and not issued any punishment? Although i was only a little kid when i first went to speedway at Belle Vue's Hyde Road, i'm sure i can remember a British League Riders Championship in front of over 20,000 fans going on very late, and that meeting always had football crowd noise levels. Ahhh! don't want to do a Mary Hopkins but those were the days my friend lol. Then again on reflection there was a permanent amusement park, entertainment halls and zoo attached to the stadium grounds lol. I don't really see a Mr Jobsworth from the council trying to attach a noise abatement order on to a noisy tiger, lion or bear.
  21. Ok like the Holstebro riders before they get lynched, i'm outta here, was a fair meeting. Hmmmm British Final and a Danish meeting on Monday. Like many i suspect, i'll watch both on different mediums, however one would think the Danish one will end before the British Final. It would have done today
  22. Not a good race for Balinski to be caught napping at the start, a damaging 1-5 there. Wow anyone else having the forum go incredibly slow again?
  23. That was a pretty clear 5-1 to mix it up but hang on....i remember this happening in the last match, and in the next heat it's a reversal with the home riders 1&2 against the visitor's 4&5. I getting used to this Danish format now lol.
  24. Most of us try not to draw attention to our mistakes, hush now lol. I was just glad Hougaard didn't storm to a win in the race after i criticized him.
