  1. Of course it's always like that! (please God i had my fingers crossed when i said that so the fib don't count, don't send me to hell). I went over to the updates site tonight as there's a little confusion over us chatting during/on the GP as it happens. The last GP 'live' comments were suddenly removed and a link to the updates board given
  2. Looks like we don't need too many more heats to take place with ruts appearing now.
  3. I don't think the exclusion created any controversy other than in the eyes of Freddie lol.
  4. Welcome back Alan. I watching on live pause about 3 minutes behind at the moment (triyng to cook me dinner!). I'm not sure why Vaculik laid it down so quick as i think he could have avoided running into anyone. Hope Tai is ok as he really clipped Nicki and was thrown awkwardly. Aside from Lindgren moving in hard, Tai should be safe as Vaculik had already gone down before Tai clipped Nicki. Nooooo i'm at the point where they say an ambulance is coming for Tai. What a crying shame he's proper injured. Normally now i'd go all in for one of my other favourites Emil but....don't want him building up a massive series lead over Tai. Then again is Tai going to have his series win hopes dashed now...in which case Emil is one of the ones i'd like to see win the championship.
  5. A great race again in heat 10 this is so good for the sport, especially when we were fearing an absolute disaster after yesterday's drama.
  6. Wasn't sure if it was just wishful thinking by me, but yeah it does look larger than last year.
  7. Excellent clarification. Indeed i'll second the thanks for their efforts. Obviously it remains to be seen if we do get some quality racing, but certainly appreciate the work put in. Not sure i approve of the dracula/monster cloaks that the riders are unveiling themselves from, i think even most little kiddies will find that a bit naff to say the least . No surprise Kelvin and Nigel loving it though lol. Anyway enough on that as hopefully we are about too see some good speedway.
  8. Who told you that? Did they say it was going to be a very long statement that would take a long time to read out? Only i notice it's now 7am! In spite of giving most of us who really care about our sport a heart attack, i hope praise will be given to those involved if the meeting is saved and we get actual racing and not riders plodding around the track scared to make a move. I think it would have far-reaching detrimental effects on the sport if it was cancelled or becomes an on track debacle. As i mentioned in an earlier reply there is way too much money involved for anyone to be unconcerned or not care about the fans.
  9. No sweat at all lol. One would think though that with the huge amount of money involved in the staging of this (and other GP's) it's in their best interests to do everything they can to get the meeting on. I would be disappointed if no blame was clearly identified and apportioned. Guess we'll see what happens, you never know for once it might all go ahead despite the extreme obstacles that have arisen. Oh well i knew it......if i wanted to watch an international speedway meeting on Saturday 1st June......i should have gone to Blijham lol.
  10. This is a shocker indeed, who did they get to drive the lorries transporting the shale in order for it to get wet, If that is the case? - sorry i only just got in and with horror am quickly reading the thread. Was it left uncovered in the transport depot before going on the road? but surely you'd need a mini monsoon to get so deep into all the shale? Oh well if it is driver/depot error then next season i look forward to seeing an episode of the Eddie Stobart TV series showing our Cardiff shale being lovingly cared for and protected all the way on it's journey to the stadium. I agree that no official press release giving any details on the eve of the meeting is very poor form indeed. A statement at 6am on the day of the meeting, that starts one hour earlier than other GP's. is puzzling. I surely hope it's not that early because they think that will curtail fans from travelling etc, if it's likely to be off, then announce it the night before. Seeing as the GP takes precedence over the Polish leagues maybe they are going to go for a Sunday staging?. Albeit despite the drastic effect on the attendance and the large number of fans who can't, be it for logistical or financial reasons, stay overnight in Cardiff. Then again maybe they'll either risk the rider's safety by demanding they race, or risk the sport looking comical when riders can't/won't attempt to race and trundle round for the 12 heat cut-off margin for a result?

  12. £10.50? Joking aside do hope you get to sell it.
  13. Cheers that was quite good to watch. Although it might have helped to promote the sport amongst the much sought after demographic of a younger audience if they had chosen a rider a couple of DECADES younger lol. Hmmmm just a little observation if i had a photo taken of me where there was someone on the edge of the frame caught in the shower.....it sure would be a lady in there Edit Just thought i'd best pop back to clarify that IS a joke (well not the part about it would be a lady in my shower - or two ideally lol). I do realize it likely the changing rooms and not a hotel room.
  14. Lol that's a thought, i'll change my mind on that one.
  15. Effect on the UK viewer = cock-up. Deliberate or cock-up? also likely the latter. Hope they get it back to normal next week.
  16. It did look like he landed on his ribs at the time. Hope he gets well soon. Today in Sweden was another day, another country and all Saturday's GP riders unscathed. Several of them are still to race in UK, Poland and Denmark before then.
  17. It's ok i'll practice during the week on my friends, i last tried a few years ago. I've never used facebook or twitter and just seem to have a mental blank on both. By the way it took me a couple of heats to get used to, but the gate points and wins very quickly became second nature to fill in, proof of the pudding all were correct
  18. Been an enjoyable meeting, hope THJ doesn't have a greatly uncomfortable night and days ahead. Are Smederna still holding on to their lead Ghostwalker?
  19. I've cleared everything off my bucket list bar the one thing that is impossible to achieve.......manage to send a tweet to someone other than myself lol lol lol......i sent about five to myself so far lol, i give up grrRRRRR. I'm going to stay anti-social as far as social media goes

  21. Did Thomas damage his ribs in that fall or is it his arm?
  22. Excellent racing again pity the score isn't as close.
  23. OK i managed to remove my multi comments too lol. I just ran a check on the site and it is dipping out badly, bit of a no go zone tonight Main error message reads "There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again. " Some very good racing indeed tonight.
  24. Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! how come you get to post your comment twice and i've just tried for over ten minutes without success to post one comment lol lol. I just ran a check on the site and it is dipping out badly, bit of a no go zone tonight
