  1. Probably not what you want to hear R&R as i don't think you like my racecards lol lol.......i've just put together a single sheet DUAL GRID version with the features of the MiniMax SGP ones i do. The info i gave before regarding the format was taken from the official website of the competition. When they say 21 heats plus a semi-final and final then one presumes the main body is the FIM template for a pairs meeting. It will be a bit odd if they change that part of it. Hopefully they do follow it so that the gate positions are correct. I may not publish if it ends up nobody knows who's going to ride on the eve of the meeting or the order of the teams. It's supposed to be, or is certainly being promoted as one of the major meetings of the whole season across the world. So like i say i hope we don't get all this no published or settled line-up until the day itself as if it was a filler open meeting. Still well miffed no UK representatives,
  2. I can pass on the format of the meeting for now. 23 races in the meeting as below 7 countries 2 riders + substitution in each team Modified heat scoring, guaranteeing emotions in each heat (no draws!): 1st place - 4 points 2nd place - 3 points 3rd place - 2 points 4th place - 0 points 21 heats in regular phase - head to head Semi-final heat - 2nd and 3rd team after regular phase Big Final - winner of regular phase and winner of semi-final heat
  3. TV meeting racecard AVAILABLE NOW FREE MiniMax Racecard Danske Liga Grinsted Vs Slangerup Wednesday, 5th, June, 2013 As ever up to yourself whether you wish to download now or wait to see if late changes through injury etc Fortunately both the long-term and short-term forecasts have great weather predicted for Grindsted whose season has been heavily hit by the elements turning nasty on them so far. Slangerup have failed too get a replacement A class rider for the still missing Leon Madsen, so instead go with three B riders.
  4. Kanalsport did get it wrong again. I've been checking online reports of the meeting and the heat 7 result was; 7: Andersen, K.Bjerre, Nedermark, Dyer (F) - 3:3 (17:25)
  5. Lol lol Guess that's blown any false hopes they had of winning the match. Another 1-5 by the Bjerre's on their home track
  6. OK good luck to them. Gee another rider down
  7. Kildemand is in scorching form, and a very nice overtake on the outside. I think Kanalsport are the worst TV channel for getting their graphics wrong. Earlier on they changed on screen before our eyes. Plus when they last showed the rider totals there were massive pauses while they were speaking with puzzled voices. I'm sure they messed up then too lol. I'm going to go on what my own eyes see from now on. The official SGP site took nearly a week to correct their mistakes after the Czech GP (after i emailed them too lol).
  8. Looks like this meeting is going to well overlap the Sky one. It's one thing i agree strongly on with Pearson and Tatum. I know of quite a few friends and acquaintances who when introduced to speedway are incredulous at the delays. It certainly doesn't go down well in cold weather with little kids either. Talking of cold weather that reminds me, my girlfriend has been looking through the window since it started snowing over five hours ago........ummmm maybe i should let her in?
  9. No wonder Outrup are without a point if the Bjerre brothers are trailing behind at home like that. Oh well at least Pandorum will be pleased because they looked so co-ordinated in their matching pretty yellow suits lol. Ouch i filled my racecard in wrong i got the score at 9-21 instead of 11-19 as the tv shows. That's what you get for trying to eat at the same time. HA! sorted i had messed up heat 2.
  10. Doyle going off handicap after that? Bukhave creeping first didn't affect Doyle as they were looking at opposite sides of the tapes.
  11. Kenneth got to try and do it again now. Gee very long break, we need Tatum here to be going apopleptic about them not going straight back round to the tapes. Oucheee as Bjerre trails in last in the re-run. I wonder if the Danish commentators are now doing a Kelvin and Nige by quoting ad nauseum about how when a race is stopped the rider who was leading finishes last in the re-run?
  12. 1. Beautiful blue skies. 2. Stream quality exceptional. 3. Teams as per racecard. Guess good things come in threes too!. Welcome globetrotter.
  13. Yeah i meant to do that but got sidetracked, i should have it done for Wednesday's TV meeting. UPDATE It's done for Wednesday's meeting
  14. TV meeting racecard AVAILABLE NOW FREE MiniMax Racecard Elitserien Indianerna Vs Piraterna Tuesday, 4th, June, 2013
  15. TV meeting racecard AVAILABLE NOW FREE MiniMax Racecard Danske Liga Outrup Vs Fjelsted Monday, 3rd, June, 2013 We have opposite records for the teams, both have raced four matches Outrup have four losses and Fjelsted four wins! Will be interesting to see if Fjelsted's Michel Dyer can transfer his great form to the Danish league.
  16. NIcki Pedersen's view of the crash and of Tai.... "I lost four or five points because he drives like an idiot. I do not understand, why should he run as? He's good with speed, says Pedersen to Ekstra Bladet."
  17. Great post Pandorum most of which I agree with strongly. I had to smirk at a memory you triggered with your mention of the lottery. I was in a supermarket queue with a previous girlfriend and she wanted to buy a lottery ticket for the Wednesday draw ( I don't know how many a week there are nowadays but that was the only other one at the time) There was a massive queue behind us and she was so dithering as to whether to purchase a/or how many tickets due to the prize being 'only' a million or so and far less than the weekend prize. I swear if she had won she soooo would have bemoaned that if she had won the weekend lottery she would have got more millions lol lol. Got to agree that some on this forum if found a fiver on the street would heartily whine that they knew someone who had found a tenner previously lol.
  18. Lol I was going to point that out to a couple of posters. I was under the impression that you were a former editor who still contributes freelance articles. To confirm this before i posted I opened up this weeks edition of the Speedway Star to check and saw the following; MANAGING EDITOR: Philip Rising EDITOR: Richard Clark I then used Wikipedia and Google to determine the difference between the two and was left with contradictory advice. I'm guessing though that Richard does the hands-on daily work and you act in an advisory or management capacity? Philip 'Fergie' Rising? Whilst we are fortunate to have your ear on this thread can i ask for your thoughts on the attendance vagaries i refer to below.
  19. Spotowefakte are quoting 50,000! Even allowing for overestimates i guess that puts us into the question of whether the 'official' figures only include turnstile clicks and not the actual physical numbers of people present? On the topic of declining sports attendances worldwide and the very clear effects of financial depressions we shouldn't forget the effect of corporate bookings and the like. On a NASCAR programme the other day a promoter mentioned that until the last couple of years or so the corporate sector for his meeting used to purchase around 30,000 tickets and that has now fallen to.......wait for this.....800. Maybe the corporate sector has completely disappeared from the SGP then lol.
  20. Just caught glimpse of an online comment by Tai Woffinden ahead of the Cardiff GP where he says "It is a physically demanding sport. If I cycle for an hour I will burn 400 calories; if I ride five races I’ll burn 1,500." Riding a speedway bike for five races takes more out of you than a one hour cycle ride! Is this really so? I can see how clearly there are physical demands made on the body but to such an extent as in the comparison above? Can anyone who has ridden speedway give us a breakdown on the exertion that takes place and on which muscles, also the cardio vascular demands made. It's great that after much hankering TV channels and magazines are giving us technical information so it would be very cool and informative to hear of the physical aspects involved.
  21. I don't disagree with your observations that the track broke up in places. However, riders get injured in thousands of other meetings and there isn't a clamour to brand the track a disgrace etc. and there are matches raced throughout the world during the week on tracks that break up at times. Surely you must have enjoyed parts of the meeting? Was also pleasing the stands weren't deserted and, to me anyways, seemed to be an improved crowd from last year?, unless they were more spaced out but not so much to leave huge gaps.
  22. WELL DONE EMIL! he brushed off the attempt to barge him off his bike lol. NKI had a close shave earlier on in the race. Bear in mind we were fearing no GP yesterday or a 'farce'. This was NOT a farce, granted it broke up towards the end, but an entertaining GP for many reasons, i loved it and am off out for the night in a really good mood.
  23. It's only the last few races it's behaved badly, there have been many worse GP's. I've really enjoyed it and there has been some good racing and before riders hitting ruts caused the overtaking. Got to say that riders are so brave going full throttle when as with Freddie just now....Ouch! out of the blue you are jettisoned off the bike.
  24. I think Emil's more concerned with trying to score with the Monster girl at the end than his gate pick. He probably doesn't even want the yellow gate but took it twice now lol.
  25. Such a shame neither Darcy or Tai are getting a full series, what a battle we'd have for the title. Mind you i'd certainly love Emil to win the lot.
