Wasn't just last year, it's happened a few times this World Cup too. The sport will know it's on the right path once FIFA decree when a team is two goals down their next goal will count double if they score. Nigel Pearson was saying that it was indeed a disappointment for GB to finish behind Latvia, somehow i think in a few years time Latvia will view finishing behind GB as a disappointment! lol. Ummm what Czech supporters? There was a great Czech league meeting at the start of the season including top riders and the stands were pretty much empty all the way around the track. Shocking decision to have the race off and final in Prague. More so that the Czech team would be seeded through. I remember reading a few years ago that the SGP in Prague was looked upon as a annual circus coming to town, but one which few locals attended! I've got a lot of company around this evening so will leave you too hold the fort on here, do hope we get some good racing which would be unusual for Prague, there were promising bits and pieces in the race off. Are you seeing pictures from Prague LIVE already?. Here in UK we've got Eurosport showing a re-run of the sparsely attended race off meeting. I would have thought the Polish fans alone would have greatly outnumbered the race off attendance today. Such a predictable shame that nobody would turn up for the race off but the final too?

They've not been announced yet. According to the supplementary regulations practice was scheduled for 12pm local time. The SGP Twitter feed says teams will be announed after lunch....must be a mighty big lunch as no news yet lol.

Sky Guide still has the same as it did yesterday it's scheduled between 3:30pm and 6pm.

Looking at the Sky Guide to confirm the tv magazine listings it's Moto GP highlights which follow on instantly from the LIVE Moto GP coverage that is pushing back the speedway to not being live. Unless, of course the speedway has since been put back to a 3:30pm UK start time??? However, i've just checked again and, as i mentioned when i reported that the meeting was off, it's still down as 2pm UK start time. Eurosport, according to the Sky Guide ARE pushing back their live coverage of the Volleyball. It's now only receiving one hour broadcast time instead of the original three hours. Clearly Eurosport are scared to upset Moto GP fans and so leave their schedule intact, live coverage and immediate highlights to follow!. The latter overlapping what would be live sport - speedway - on our screens. I agree totally delayed coverage is better than none at all, especially as it looked like we were not to get any on the eve of the season.

There would be no chance of it shown on Eurosport 1 as they've got the Tour De France and then Women's European Championship football. Going on a tv mag if their listings are still correct, i don't see why it couldn't be fitted on to Eurosport 2 unless they are worried about the speedway over-running. They are supposed to prefer live sports. Original schedule for that channel at speedway start time: 14:00-15:30 Moto GP highlights. 15:30-16:00 Speedway World Cup highlights 16:00:1900 LIVE Volleyball action from the 2013 Universiade in Kazan, Russia. With respect to Volleyball fans and whatever the tournament is (obviously University sport) surely speedway possibly running a little into it isn't too much to ask? The earlier section is only a highlights programme and time that was already allotted to speedway. The speedway realy should be broadcast live in view of the above.

Swindon meeting not fully in the clear as in the event of the original staging being rained off the alternative dateS are the 8th AND 9th.

They must be going for a later alternative, quite likely with the amount of rain that has come down, as Sportowefakte are saying that it will be a 2pm (BST) start time on Sunday if it has to be run tomorrow. According to the same source there is a track inspection today at 1:45 BST. Does that mean there was an extra practice scheduled?, only the official regulation clearly state that practice, and machine examinations for the practice, was set for today! http://www.fim-live....Czestochowa.pdf But hey! speedway seems frequently to not run by the rules lol. Just had a glance at the SGP official twitter and one hour ago it refers to TODAY'S practice being cancelled due to the inclement weather. Now whether today's was the extra practice because yesterday's 'illegal' (lol yes that's meant in a jocular fashion) one was called off who knows. In the event of the meeting not being run the team's rankings dictate who goes through.
