It's usually always one hour later but nobody seems to have told Eurosport as i've checked several tv listings and they all have it down as a 6pm start (ending at 9pm). Scott Nicholls and his co-host are going to have to chinwag for a good hour extra ahead of the meeting lol. Superbikes qualifying is scheduled for 9pm and don't they give that preference over Speedway? eeeeek!

Nice to see that on 7th August Esbjerg have got free admission to their match against Slangerup. Unfortunately we won't get to witness what hopefully will be a large crowd as the TV match is Grindsted-Fjelsted. Anyone know if this free admission has been done before at either Esbjerg or another Danish club?. If so did they do a Lakeside and have the place packed out or is the club like some of those in Sweden and in the middle of a forest so that even as a freebie it's hard to fill the place?

In the US Nascar fans have massive camper vans and motor homes with deckchairs on top of them to watch the racing from the infield Lots of food, beer and not sure what causes it but vehicles rocking during the racing. Admittedly like most things in America their infields are bigger than ours but yes it does block the view of the other side of the track for fans seated lower in the stands.

Very true and as in all walks of life people tend to find it easier to pick up a pen to complain than praise. There's a great difference being concerned with something and putting forward constructive criticism or asking for an explanation than just griping and insulting. Exactly and if watching on tv and you don't like the commentators, no harm in a passing mention but no need to vilify them at every opportunity. Certainly no matter how much i dislike a commentary style above all i'm enjoying the speedway and hugely pleased at getting to see it on the screen.

Maybe there is some animosity from the promoters when in a positive thread about the sport - Birmingham's recent large crowd - out of the blue came this comment (i'll not name the poster as it's just one example of many) "Why dont they give the attendance numbers ? typical Speedway promotion - supermarket carrier bags full of cash and nothing declared to the inland revenue!"
