  1. Aaaargh 1 Yep i'm here after all lol. Aaaargh 2 Only just got home, although only a handful of heats missed. Aaaargh 3 Don't think i've missed a classic after reading the heat reports on Sportowefakte (hope i'm a lucky charm and the racing starts now)
  2. That is excellent news indeed regards getting your glitch sorted out. Weather is good too i hear. You're welcome re the racecard.
  3. UPDATED BOTH RACECARDS TO REFLECT THE CHANGES IN THE FIELD AND RESERVE POSITIONS.
  4. Ahhh! never realized that, or at least with regards public transportation. How have they coped in the past with capacity or near capacity crowds with regards to traffic congestion etc. Do the local inhabitants (hopefully not consisting merely of forest wildlife lol) welcome the extra trade or are they annoyed at the 'inconvinience'? Mind you it's such a small township that i'm not sure what trade they hav eto offer? EDIT Just glanced at your excellent Swedish tracks page on Google Earth, and yeah i remember looking at the aerial foto before. Incidentally a little suggestion would you not consider it even further useful to add the relevant Wikipedia page for the tracks localities (and/or team) to the info pop-up?
  5. Not doubting your word, i've seen a couple or so references elsewhere that this will be the case, but do you have a (official) source or media link for that.
  6. Just so as not to confuse UK viewers, even though Ghostwalker denoted 'International' - with it being a UK based forum i guess most of the visitors are UK - the currently (10:45 Saturday) scheduled repeats showing on Sky Guide are Sunday 06:00 (ES 2) In the UK Sky Guide and the British Eurosport TV guide are listing the Italian GP at 10:00 (ES 2) and 22:30 (ES 2). Might be worth keeping an eye out to see if they change that to the Togliatti meeting. Monday 08:30 (ES 2) 10:15 (ES 1) 15:30 (ES 2). (British Eurosport tv guide only has a listing at 09:45!)
  7. I think the idea is to keep it simple as in every point earned in every race is used. Even speedway fans would struggle to remember the above scoring, and tv newcomers wouldn't have a clue. No artificial changes to the sport's 3-2-1-0. Reward for reaching the semi-finals and final and not finishing last in either is extra points on a...yep...3-2-1-0 system.
  8. 'Drofgum you might have to repost your link for a third time in two pages as it's confirmed Ulamek was detained overnight at Basildon Hospital after sustaining a broken collarbone, rib and hip injuries. Somehow i don't think he'll be taking part!
  9. Piotr Pawlicki it is just announced on Sportowefakty "Pole to occur next Saturday in Poole, where the Grand Prix will be held Challenge. Initially reported that in the UK Junior Fogo Leszno Union will only backup. Pawlickich younger brother took eighth place in Wednesday's semi-finals Individual World Championships in Holsted. In Poole must start representing Great Britain, which was to take place Polish speedway rider. As it turns out the Briton will go for Jurica Pavlica, who was eighth in the semi-final in Lonigo."

  11. Thanks to MagicOctopus for such welcome news and a very speedy relaying of it. Courtesy of Google Translate here is the story in English (sort of lol) with a few more details. 12. Official regulations in speedway aren't always followed but this taken from them; 12.5.4 Track Reserve riders The FMNR will propose two track reserve riders to each final meeting to take part. Proposals must be made in writing to the FIM Europe Track Racing Commission not later than 1 month prior to the meeting. The European Championship Bureau (ECB) will make the final approval and nominations. After nomination, the official Individual Speedway European Championship Final Series Entry Form for Track Reserve Riders must be duly completed and signed by the rider and his FMN. The FMN is responsible for completing and submitting the Revised April 2013 8 of 31 entry form to the FIM Europe Track Racing Commission at least 2 weeks before the meeting for which the rider has been nominated. Furthermore, the rider commits himself by his signature to be fully aware of all the FIM Europe rules; to accept them all and to compete in the Individual Speedway European Championship Final Series meeting for which he has been nominated. Speedway 12.5.5 Qualified Substitute riders In case of the absence of one or more riders in the final meetings, the first available qualified substitute rider or riders, according to their placing on the Individual Speedway European Championship “Qualified Substitutes list”, will be elevated for that meeting, and take the place(s) of the relevant missing rider(s). The list of qualified substitute riders will be published by the FIM Europe Track Racing Commission after the European Championship Challenge (ECC). All qualified substitute riders must submit the official Individual Speedway European Championship Final Series Entry Form for Qualified Substitute riders to the FIM Europe Track Racing Commission before the deadline required by the Commission. This entry form must be duly completed and signed by the rider and his FMN. This entry form enters the rider into all the Individual Speedway European Champinship Final Series meetings he may be called up to do unless prevented from doing so by injury or other “force majeure”. A suitably qualified medical practitioner must certify injury or illness in writing to that effect. The FMN is responsible for the completion of this entry form and submitting it to the FIM Europe Track Racing Commission. Furthermore, the rider commits himself by his signature to be fully aware of all the FIM Europe rules; to accept them all and to compete in the Individual Speedway European Champinship Final Series meeting for which he has been nominated. A Qualified Substitute rider, who without a reason accepted by the Chairman of the FIM Europe Track Racing Commission refuses to take part in a meeting, may be removed from the Qualified Substitute riders list for the rest of the season. In the event that no “Qualified Substitutes” are available, the European Championship Bureau (ECB) or the International Jury may nominate one or more substitute riders. I'm guessing the decision on whether a reserve is promoted or Leon Madsen depends on whether the latter had enough time to get to Togliatti, presumably doubtful! It's 4 am i've not been home long so for now will remove Sebastian Ulamek from the two racecards and amend further tomorrow upon any announcements.

  14. A cool song M-Bike by P J Harvey (from her ballsy bluesy rock era not her recent twittering Kate Bush on speed days) includes the following lyrics His m-bike's clean You polish that thing He looks her over more than me But I won't let it get to me Yeah, he can play with his machine Night and day, rain or shine Looks at her shape, not at mine I'm not complaining I think it's neat Yeah, he can play with his machine But all he's speaking and all he sees Is just his motor bike, not me No, I won't let it get to me Can't stop thinking of his goddamn machine Take that lady coasting west Ride his motor over the edge Yeah, I could break her Break her, break me But get rid of that goddamn machine Yeah, I could break her Break her, break me Get rid of that goddamn machine Yes, I'm gonna break her Think what you like I f****** hate his motor bike
  15. Now Now R&R you know just looking a mere ONE page back is too much work for some on here lol. Got to admit that 99% of the time i do have the decency and non-laziness to at least look back a few pages on a thread before posting. Although i'm sure i have sinned the occasional time when rushing out.
  16. Ummmmm! ok but i rightly presuming the '2)smug reference' is not directed at me but instead at the OFFICIAL website of the SGP. I only going by (alleged apparently) 'official' sources lol. I slightly betting that my listed line-up is the correct one However to paraphrase f-s-p i guess we'll know when we wake up as they are approaching the starting tapes at Poole on 24th August.
  17. What's all the confusion surely the qualifiers are clear (i stand to be corrected lol). EDIT: From a quick re-read i see Ghostwalker and Racers and Royals tally with this too? I only speed read the thread originally. So listing the field below as nobody has got around to doing it yet. EDIT 2: Lol, guessing if i had the time to look maybe someone has listed the field in the Poole final thread? Hans Andersen Matej Zagar Michael Jepsen Jensen Martin Smolinski Vaclav Milik Maciej Janowski Troy Batchelor Jurica Pavlic Niels-Kristian Iversen Kenneth Bjerre Aleksandr Loktaev Daniel Nermark Krzysztof Kasprzak Przemyslaw Pawlicki Tomas H Jonasson British WIld Card to be named. Reserve Krzysztof Buczkowski Reserve Piotr Pawlicki
  18. This is the second year of a two year contract. Hopefully anyone who enjoys this on the TV or the 'Premier Sports Player' bombards them with requests for coverage next season. Also hope they go ahead with their stated intention of expanding international subscriptions for the 'player' as it would give our overseas friends such as Alan a quality stream in English. Cool....excellent and enjoyable racing to the very end.
  19. Alan wake up you dreaming again lol. Even if you have to take your laptop to the pool/beach make sure you are sorted for Togliatti. Gee! lol. But you didn't say they can only be replaced once na-na-na-na-na and you said you only 'thought'! lol I didn't see your post as i when i started my post i had to answer the phone and then was checking the regulations on my computer. Back to the speedway it seems a nicely run meeting getting through the heats well. Lots of overtaking and good racing once again in Malilla, we so must have this track back on the SGP circuit as soon as possible. A packed atmospheric Malilla is so much better than Italian GP's and Prague etc.
  20. Full 2013 rules and regulations for Sweden (it's 101 pages!) http://multi.mediapa...B112204D4AFD61B You can translate it with Google Chrome. Reserves are guaranteed two rides in the 'reserves only' races heats 2 and 11. One of the rules state that " Reserve may not be replaced by ordinary drivers in their scheduled heat more than 1 time per race time"
  21. Thought Ward had sealed that when he got in front but Hampel strongly controlled it in the end. Heat 9 excellent racing again, very good in view of the large crowd.
  22. It's a Swedish themed sports night tonight as i also now turn on Man United's game in Stockholm What chance have the babes in bikinis got against the Son of Alan! lol
  23. Off the top off my head i can't tell you how to access it although i'm pretty sure there are ways, mind you one has to be careful with adverts surrounding some Sopcast streams. So it's your 'dangerous'??? choice if you decide to temporarily disable your AV, personally i wouldn't. EDIT Sorry i'm still multi-tasking and see you said you don't know how to disable it. If that's the road you dare to tread lol, it should be pretty simple by going into the menus etc.
  24. I certainly hope we stay with the 3-2-1-0 that since the inception of the sport has been the overriding scoring system....it is so simple and especially to newcomers. Changing it is like changing the value of a goal in football depending on the competition or stage of a match.
