Twiddlng my thumbs while waiting for a delivery so a quick stat attack for the main TV match. Averages with matches ridden in brackets Vastervik 6.99 (13) Hans ANDERSEN 7.03 (13) Peter LJUNG 7.22 (12) Chris HARRIS 7.20 (14) Troy BATCHELOR 7.08 (14) Daniel NERMARK 6.03 (13) Tomasz JEDRZEJAK 6.53 ( 5) Daniel DAVIDSSON Elit Vetlanda 6.67 (13) Martin VACULIK 8.00 (10) Bartosz ZMARZLIK 9.49 (14) Jarek HAMPEL 6.55 (10) Thomas H JONASSON 8.17 (10) Janusz KOLODZIEJ 4.80 (11) Ricky KLING 4.00 (14) Jacob THORSELL Vastervik: Despite his poor showing last time out Daniel Davidsson gets the nod over Ludvig Lindgren (5.00 average from 11 matches). They've got thrashed in their last two matches 37-53 HOME to Dackarna and prior to that 31-59 at Ikaros Smederna. Elit Vetlanda: No Crump, Sayfutdinov or Madsen this year in the above line-up, yet they are here again. In their last match hammered Hammarby (sorry i couldn't resist that lol) at home 59-31 and lost away 42-48 to Dackarna. Season Stats This season's results between the two sides. 30th July Vastervik 48-42 Elit Vetlanda 4th June Elit Vetlanda 54-36 Vastervik Although Vastervik finished third fourth to Elit Vetlanda's sixth, and a good five points clear, their race points don't differ much over the season Vastervik 639-619 Elit Vetlanda 637-623

I don't think any of the Bundesliga clubs have great capacity. Abensberg staged a qualification meeting earlier this season with a good crowd. Would the 'cavernous' Norden, a capacity around 40,000 be viable of staging a final? The stadium seems to be in reasonably good nick going by this video earlier int the season.

An interview with Ole Olsen in Sportowefakty today with questions concerning the rivalry between the two competitions. He states he does not watch the SEC and that the SGP has more viewers some 12,000,000 http://www.sportowef...ktorem-cyklu-/1 "But fans in Europe and around the world - thanks to Eurosport broadcasts - they want to watch the SEC. The transmission range of Togliatti was almost six million viewers. You must admit that for the development of the slag is great news? - Of course. We are very happy with it, that by broadcasting the slag reaches the countries where it was not yet known. You mentioned the transmission range of the SEC order 6,000,000. Grand Prix looking at 12 million viewers and abbreviations event reached over a hundred countries. Those are impressive numbers."

It was nice to see a large Latvian crowd, i do wonder if the increased exposure of the sport via Eurosport instead of Sky is a factor in good overseas crowds recently that i see on TV and online. There have been some very good attendances despite the presence of TV cameras in the various leagues too. The fact that there are several repeat showings on Eurosport means there is more chance of non-speedway fans catching sight of the sport, as on a Saturday most will be watching their own sports big events and would never glimpse the speedway. Please do keep us up to date on any developments or snippets of news.

Big kids on the bottom of the pile. But that's my point he needs to go into leagues where he'll not be top dog or even amongst the top lot. No Mroczka versus Adamczak repeat in heat 14 Uh Oh hang on the betting odds scrolling across the bottom of the screen show them both in heat 14, so is graphics man messing us up again with the heat 13 line-up? Spot the race jacket number again for the next race i guess. Now they show them both in heat 14. Yet i see number two race jacket starting at the gate for heat 13 hee hee (Thomsen just fell but odds showing he's due in heat 14)..ok whatever enough! OOOPS i missed heat 13 when my stream went down lol lol -

The match has certainly proved to be worth watching as i thought it would, despite the league positions of the teams. Talking of league tables i see a familiar name at the top of the Premier League (don't look Pandorum lol) -

Like i say next season should be his first true test if he can get a team spot in Poland - TOP division. I think it's a little disrespectful to infer he doesn't amount to 'much' right now. Strange scuffle taking place between fans on the left side of the screen lol. -

Too be honest i can see Cook wanting to pile up the points money and build up his bank balance whilst also getting himself a very solid grounding with his racing. However, next season he really must try and get a ride, not just in the other European leagues, but with a Polish team to bring himself on even more. Otherwise unlike our overseas youngsters a British rider will again level out and not match how their young rivals abroad seem to make big leaps in performance. Wow after the break graphics man got the match score and rider's scores correct! Take note again that reports of Wednesday's broadcast's demise seem to be greatly exaggerated to paraphrase an old quote. They've just listed it as being streamed again. Ouch nasty twisting and turning twice within a lap there. -
That's the period i was more or less referring to as people on here will often quote speedway attendances from the 50's and 30's or whichever decades in which they used to get football type attendances.

Again ahead of heat 7 this time graphics showing a change but riders race jackets saying otherwise. I presume most wouldn't receive an offer of a contract, however, there certainly are some worthy of signing. I'd love to see how Craig Cook would fare and on a lesser expectation level initially the Worrall brothers. -

Adamczak versus Mroczka is potentially very tasty fare at this rate five races five wins between them so far. UPDATE 6 races 6 wins Graphics showed Risager replacing Bager yet race jacket numbers showed no such thing! UPDATE Yep results show Bager was the rider. -

I think both teams were intending to use this match with a view to looking at riders for next season. Jakob Jamrog got a five ride maximum for Lodz recently in the Polish division one. Weather looks good and picture good as ever. They've just listed it on screen as being shown with the word 'streaming' in brackets. So i'm guessing you must have seen something referring to the tv broadcast and not the online stream? Excellent start to the meeting as Adamczak got it on the line. Commanding win by some distance there for Adamczak in heat 3. -

Lol as of last night I fully agree with you on the line-ups and disclaimer. I've just again today ran through eight sites that agree and only one that disagrees (it has has Wolbert listed). TV meeting racecard AVAILABLE NOW FREE MiniMax Racecard Danske Liga Outrup Vs Munkebo Wednesday, 19th, August, 2013 Ouch was looking forward to the match too. Incidentally, Grrr can't post at all in Google Chrome and no line breaks available in IE. Also, can't insert a link unless manually type it in. UPDATE: I switched to Firefox and was able to do all the above. -
I'm always shocked to the core when i see the minsicule numbers that qualify as 'bumper' attendances for speedway these days. But in defence of the sport and those who quote the high five figure 'football type' attendances form the olden days, they are not comparable. There were few alternatives for entertainment in those days, certainly within the home. Nowadays most live sports attract less spectators than they used to the world over. Aside from the Premier League, football attendances are pitiful for those in the leagues below compared to the past, and that's a sport that is ingrained upon our consciousness from the day we are born with extreme media coverage night and day.

Apparently Esbjerg are considering bringing in Artem Laguta for Rene Bach. "In Esbjerg camp is considering leaving the team's Danish B-rider Rene Bach sit out the match and instead let the Russian B-run Artem Laguta run. The decision will, however, not taken until tomorrow night, says Ib Pedersen. "It's a very difficult decision for Rene Bach has not run itself of the team. But Laguta is very strong on our home turf. The decision is not taken yet, "he says." -

Yeah R&R i do, and i've mentioned several times in the past that he has been the source to go by - and certainly for matches at Holsted - when there are conflicting line-ups issued by various official and media sources. However, a very good point i made last week when you made your joke about the printers, is that it's a poor state of affairs when official sites representing the league and clubs, plus local media sites are putting out incorrect team lists yet DW's printer's are privy to the correct ones! Not the greatest administration? Haven't got time right now but i keep meaning to check the regulations to see what they say about nominating teams and regards making late changes to the declared line-ups etc. Anyway whoever lines up let's hope we get to see some good speedway. -

I'll now sit back and await to see if in the interests of fairness; 1. Danish Webmaster appears to tell you that "you are wrong again" (and if not why not) lol. 2. You make a wisecrack about the correct line-ups are at the printers Who's the invisible rider at number two? you know he won't like that Waddya mean it's the best you can do? You telling me all you've done is go by the press release on a site that frequently issues incorrect team lists? Have you not done what i do when correcting said list during season and visited the club websites and for each club several local media sources? (Half) Joking above aside i do wish that site would put more effort in to issuing line-ups. Your mention of Kevin Wolbert's situation an example. Agree with you there doesn't seem to be any great competitive element to the match-up, but it's speedway and we get to watch it free in the comfort of our homes (or workplaces for some!) so will certainly watch in the hope of seeing the odd good race or two. -
