Coventry V Birmingham 26th May 2014
manchesterpaul replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You may find those two links are the same as Bet365 you need to register and put a little cash in. -
I'd be worried about it being a praying mantis style date....they can't get that large on just Danish butter. By the way Alan those two streams listed on Wiziwig for the Coventry match refer to a couple of betting sites, so it may leave you in the same position of not being able to register due to US gambling laws. Cool Coventry-Birmingham teams confirmed that means 5 faultless racecards compiled today.

I hope the Danes know this meeting really needs to be run under two hours, got an Elite League match and England footie to come so need this to be over at 8pm to avoid trying to watch three events at once lol. Having said that if i decide to join my girlfriend to watch the movie the latter two will have to be sacrificed.

Yeah i thought it looked odd, surely we not been fed disinformation lol. Regulations 17.5 TEAM LINE-UPS a. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd Rider (by MA) must ride at #1, #3 or #5. b. The 4th & 5th Riders (by MA) must ride at #2 or #4. c. The 6th & 7th declared Riders must ride at #6 or #7. Mind you i just noticed 17.7.3 The Guest assumes the position and MA or Grading of the Missing Rider. -
This match is being streamed live on Bet365. If there are any late changes to the teams the racecards will be updated, as is often the case with the Elite League there are contradicting line-ups on official sites, in this case one example is the riding order of the Birmingham reserves. Might be worth checking an hour before the match which is when the streams are listed. It does say 2 stations will be showing it so maybe they are going to feed the Bet365 stream which is scheduled tonight. BBC WM is always a good listen especially when one gets to see the live streaming too. -
2014 Gp Calendar

Better news regarding Riga's staging of the Latvian GP, there has been considerable acceleration in the renovation. Wooden seats have been removed and plastic ones installed with a capacity of 7,500. The rotting seats were one of the awful photographs seen earlier this year so it's great news that they have ripped them out. A nice promotion on the hosting track's site https://www.bksb.lv/en/speedway-returns-to-bikernieki-race-track/ -

Credit to him for missing the GP practice and riding for Coventry, however, i'm not so sure that he would make the same decision if he was battling for the GP title, or even a top 8 place. Hope he scores well in both meetings. -

Screm do take into account the above times are local Czech ones. Kasprzak intending on riding in the GP and if he has no bad reaction also for his team on Sunday despite not being listed in the originally declared team. -

Reserve Roman Cejka has gone to hospital with appendicitis on Thursday and will not be taking part. No replacement has been named so far. It's to be hoped that Kasprzak is able to take his place, he was due to declare yesterday afternoon or at the latest this morning whether he will ride. Unofficial sources were indicating he would. Might be short of reserves if he doesn't! -

Fast Track Riders
manchesterpaul replied to manchesterpaul's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Credit where credit is due i think it's been a good move. Not sure if it was introduced more to save paying out high wages or it was indeed 100% with the national team in mind and/or just simply getting young riders fast track experience. Other overseas leagues such as Poland, Sweden and Denmark have had regulations to ensure their young riders get to race. One can't condemn it when it's barely up and running in it's first year it will obviously need tweaking and there are some problems to be addressed with regards riders that clubs have already 'reared' etc. within their own system and possibly resulting in unbalanced pairings this season. If the number sevens are proving to be too weak then maybe we should have one fast track rider per Elite team and one per Premier team. Although that might leave the one Elite rider facing more higher class opponents during a meeting. I've not studied the riders too much but i'm sure some good riders have not been included in teams whilst poorer ones have or others have suggested that. Maybe next year there will be an alteration of which riders can qualify as fast track and an all round stronger pool will be able to take the team slots? -

Was going to update these today using stats from an overseas site* but the Speedway Star this week in an "exclusive statistical survey" has an article with their averages published. Sadly it may be a one-off (not seen it yet won't get my issue until tomorrow) in which case i will update them next week. *What a farce we've got to go to an overseas site to get the most basic information that we've always had access to, brings back memories of successfully finding out information despite 'D Notices' or 'DA Notices'. Also in more recent times 'injunctions/legal rulings' to obtain the current location of notorious killers released back into the community by resorting to the same methods. Uh Oh will the BSPA be contacting the Law Lords to close down Speedway Star?
