FREE AVAILABLE as of NOW! Direct download from the page, Sunday, 1st, June, 2014. Local Time 4:30pm, BST 3:30pm, UTC/GMT 2:30pm MiniMax Racecard Polish Ekstraliga Czestochowa vs. Torun A couple of good meetings today to look forward to with Czestochowa pretty desperate to grab a win over the star studded Torun......ummmm good luck with that. I hope they do though for the good of the club which is in an iffy situation right now. There will be a racecard for the potential frenzy and certain spectacle that is the Derby match between Zielona Gora and Gorzow. I won't be putting it online until shortly before the meeting as there is supposed to be a definite change to the official published teams with Krzysztof Kasprzak still maintaining that he will be riding.. He's also speaking on behalf of Hampel and claiming that although he will be sore he will also ride despite his hefty crash in the Czech Republic GP last night. It's Sunday so i'm off to pray........that Sopcast is strong and healthy today lol.

Agreed with all of the above but anyone know the answer as to why they are still getting it hopelessly wrong after all these years...oh yeah you forgot to mention that Prague has some of the most beautiful women in Europe lol. -

Smoli needs to step it up this next race to avoid being a Supernova lol. 100% agree and that's exactly the OBVIOUS observation Peter Collins made in the Speedway Star a few years ago. I was shocked when i came back to speedway and the plethora of toy trick tracks seemingly abundant. Then again maybe my opinion is coloured by being a Belle Vue fan and i left the sport when the wide open racy Hyde Road track closed down. -

I like to see Harris make a good GP gate as it guarantees we'll get three overtakes in the race lol. Sorry that cruel. -

Bit puzzling that one, great to see he's up and about and giving the thumbs up. Whilst it was clear he landed direct on the track i didn't think it was remotely serious to begin with. Maybe he got winded and so it looked bad to the medics initially? Respect to him as like most speedway riders he's clearly a believer in that when you fall of your bike get straight back on to it, total respect for the guts and bravery these riders possess. -

But are they in the broom cupboard lol. So good to see such a large crowd but sadly a DAMAGING dire lack of racing so far. Not many newcomers will return or even seasoned GP travellers. Fingers crossed we do get some action. -

It's great to see an unusually large crowd for Prague, although it sounds like Tatum isn't one of them, where exactly is he in a broom cupboard? Maybe Pearson has the only mic and Kelvin sat back from it. Excellent info thank you. So first round of heats over and any casual sports viewers clearly switching channels right now. -

Nice one Tai. You Coventry fans should be feeling guilty as if Chris Harris had practiced he would have known he had a wonky engine lol. JOKE! -

But shouldn't the redesigned track now conducive to good racing mean this won't be the case! lol. We can only live in hope. -
It's looking likely that the main reason for the poor attendance at the GP in Bydgoszcz- lowest in the 20 year history for the SGP in Poland - was high ticket prices. If you then factor in that the meeting was shown live on TV (something i personally feel was a factor in the Eskilstuna staged Best Pairs) it makes it all the more probable that was the main culprit for non-attendance. A poll for Sportowefakty also with a high take-up of voters reflects this as well "Polish fan can count and calculate. Ticket prices for the Grand Prix of Europe ranged from 95 PLN per sector C, by 165 to sector B after 195 zł per sector A. For watch the competition from the grandstand you had to pay 600 zł." Reason for not attending; Expensive tickets 52% No Tomasz Gollob 37% Too many SGP tournaments in Poland 11% Incidentally another poll shows Polish fans preferences for their favourite type of meeting What speedway events are the most popular?; 75% : League Racing 10% : SBPC and SEC 8% : Friendly matches of the Polish national team 6% : SGP and DPS 1% : Other events calendar It's claimed that BSI held talks with Danzig, Berlin and Bydgoszcz with the latter getting the decision based on being a proven partner. The high ranking official Andrzej Witkowski who is/was president of the Polish Motor Association and Chairman of the Supervisory Board Extraleague Speedway initially point blank refused to answer questions on the meagre attendance. However he has now responded a little albeit adding " I do not want to comment on this, because the organizer of the European Grand Prix in Bydgoszcz was not Polish or Polish Motor Union." In view of the above he's not going to be quoted being critical of the ticketing pricing policy or anything to do with the organizing or promotion of the actual meeting itself. Therefore he's left to cite that in his opinion the absence of Gollob was a major factor but also the number of SGP/SWC meetings staged in Poland "The official position of the Polish Motor Association in terms of the amount of the Grand Prix tournament in our country is clear. SGP two tournaments in one season and the World Team Cup mountain every two - three years. That's enough" ".......and besides three tournaments SGP plus World Team Cup in Poland in a season is way too much." UPDATE: Have we got a new mod on board who is interfering with absolutely anything and everything? What a potentially open-ended route to mayhem micromanaging to such a degree could be. I posted this in the SGP CALENDAR thread because whilst quoting the recent event of the Bydgoszcz GP it concerns the SGP CALENDAR as a whole - as in too many meetings in one country etc. Maybe it's just the mod who is spending all his time following me around (whilst others in the forum are breaking rules and laws of th eland left, right and centre lol with impunity). Anyways whatever, no particular harm done in this instance but seems strange when i can look at hundreds upon hundreds of threads right now that are CLEARLY in the wrong section or thread. So guess i'll take it as coincidence that my post has been micromanaged and moved.
