The tv meeting between Piraterna and Indianerna was superb visually with a full stadium - although the fans were eerily quiet at first. Some very good races and also controversy at the end of the meeting. It was good to see the correct decision applied and the rider excluded. As with most satellite sports channels one is always advised to either manually record it and add extra time on to it or record the next programme too. If you missed the 'incident' towards the end you should catch a replay of the meeting. A very good advertisement for the sport.

Kicking this thread off a day earlier than usual in case the worst comes to the worst! lol On this occasion it's going to be a case of fingers crossed for all those who download the MiniMax SGP Racecards. Every tv guide i've checked has the speedway on delayed at 10pm. There is a re-run of the Blackpool vs Rangers friendly ahead of this weeks Rangers game. Check out the Premier Sports thread in this section.

Nice one for letting others know. I can't be bothered claiming the half-price myself it's not the dearest channel i subscribe to. Also, i originally signed up for when they took over the Nascar coverage. Speedway, Mixed Martial Arts and Football from South America have been welcome bonus additions for me. I'm presuming/hoping that the Polish speedway will commence at the play-offs??? Although any league rounds preceding that would be welcome. Certainly a lost opportunity if the rights holder is trying to squeeze a few more pennies as to why we have not seen it on our screens so far.

We've been discussing this since Tuesday in the last Swedish thread when it was first switched to delayed coverage. However, i'd prefer a distinct thread anyway, so i'll re-post my comments from a couple of days ago.

Thanks for the explanation Charles. Clearly though it's not remotely as severe an advantage as the joker is in Speedway. It's only employed because of the tremendous drag forces present right behind a F1 car. And the driver who has just been overtaken will simply overtake his opponent right back using the same rule? (within one second of the driver in front) Also, it's restricted as to where one can employ it on the course. It still isn't a direct comparison with the joker as in Speedway the joker rider finishing second to the winner receives more points!

I had to Gooogle what on earth DRS was. It seems to be a mechanical adjustment one can make during the qualifying for a race??? If so, appologies as like i say, i'm not sure what comparison or point you are making. As with the above two examples i quoted, if i understand it correctly, it's not a change made during the height of competition that punishes a team performing well and bestows an advantage on a team performing poorly. Especially, when that team will most likely deliberately perform poorly just ahead of nearing the margin for the award for being bad. Are you saying that this DRS is applied at the height of the actual race and given to the backmarkers but not allowed for the leaders? If not, then the argument falls by the wayside on the same grounds as the other two.

Same here normally they reply to emails very speedily. I've not had a reply. I sent my query/complaint in before i had heard about the two upcoming Rangers matches being added as well. Will be a shocker if we lose live coverage the next couple of Tuesdays too. The two matches concerned are in the Champions League qualifying so way above pre-season friendly level. Too make matters worse they are showing a Rangers friendly match on Saturday DELAYED at 10pm. Why couldn't they have done that with the Speedway clash. No criticism intended but that's another false comparison. When have you ever seen a horse being saddled with extra weight in the middle of a race being run lol. The references you make refer to grading the standard of competition before an event takes place, not altering it in the height of battle because one team is performing well and the other poorly.

Both the above are punishments for foul play. Football has free kicks and penalty kicks for transgressions of the rules. Neither of the above punish a winning team and reward an inferior losing preformance.

Unless things have changed recently the answer is no. Apparently they can only use one or the other of the two channels! Certainly that's my recollection from Nascar forums last year.

I'm sure others can but i can't because i also love Mixed Martial Arts and Nascar. Also, they show top class South American Football.

Despite complaints on their Facebook and Twitter pages about live Speedway being bumped off........if has just got far, far worse. Glasgow Rangers Champions League qualifying ties on TUESDAY 26th July and TUESDAY 2nd August are to be broadcast live on the channel!

It will be superb if it does indeed come to fruition. Please can you keep us up to date with any developments positive or negative.

Therefore, it's extremely disappointing to see that they have removed Speedway from a live slot to a delayed recording in order to show that most shown of all sports Football. To compound the annoyance is the fact the match they are broadcasting is a pre-season friendly! I suggest as many fans as possible who subscribed to the service because of the LIVE Speedway make their feelings known via their email, Facebook or Twitter contact points. If nobody bothers to they'll not think twice about replacing live Speedway in the future for any old meaningless Fooball game.

One change needed the joker surely now HAS to go. Had a couple of newcomers watching tonight and they were stunned at how the commentators were calmly discusing riders to drop to the back of the race if they didn't gate in the lead. How long before we have a situation where two teams at the same time need to be 6 points behind instead of 5 and we have a case of "please Sir you first" "no, not at all dear chap, you go over the line first" "nooooo i insist you first" "certainly not, i must insist you take the point"

Lol. You're both welcome. I only checked on the spur of the moment to see when the teams were due to be announced. So it was a nice surprise to see them already confirmed. Frees me up to toddle off out in the morning and afternoon and not have to wait in at home.
