Hope Holder gets the semi-final/final placing his fantastic efforts deserve after the last heat. Stunning stuff from Hampel in heat 11. Why on earth has he not produced this all season?. He's looking like the World Champion in waiting so far tonight. -

Working links and even the new address of myp2p are in the streaming thread in the international section. Myp2p has been shut down from it's usual site. However, as is the nature of these things it was very quicky back up elsewhere. -

There are working links reported in the streaming thread in the international section. Heat 6 well lived up to it's billing of it's top class line up, a great race indeed. Hope those searching for streams managed to get them up and running in time. Update GRAND grand prix racing now, superb battling racing again in Heat 7. A pity the first three heats would have sent newcomers or casual viewers to the sport fleeing in their droves. -

Absolutely no comments on the commentary and standings gaffes from me tonight lol. Not even mentioning one gone already. Sooooo on to the racing....... wow excellent Heat 4 then. Alan patience is a virtue racing by Heat 4 is good. Got to admit i was fearing the worst myself and thinking it's going to be way into the meeting before we got any action. So fingers crossed the last heat wasn't an exception. Incidentally, i noticed some heavy booing when Holta fell and stayed down when Gollob was leading the initial attempt of Heat 3. That brought to mind the thought would the Polish fans ever (have they ever) cheer on Holta over an actual born and bred Pole? -
Streaming Websites- Gone

Actually on reflection i did use streams relatively recently. I found a superb very high quality full screen one and managed to watch every single game of Manchester United's all conquering pre-season tour of the US. Also, if it wasn't for the fact that it usually clashes with other sports i dare say i would seek out the Polish speedway. Alas not enough hours in a day to watch all sports even two at a time lol. Now here's a thought, do any fans know who sorts out how many hours there are in a day? We want and need more! -

I no longer use streams having for a while now subscribed to - seemingly - every sports pacakge on the planet lol. I can only wish those who need the streams the best of luck and to have their tracking skills honed from past experience. The streams will undoubtedly be out there so if you put the effort in you should be able to continue to view the sport. -
It's certainly coming up here no problem, can you try again? The server does take a lot of hits, however, both are instantly appearing for me. UPDATE I've just had a glance and they are absolutely flying off the servers. I'm accessing them both instantly without delay too. I've had 3 friends test them out and they also had no difficulty. Did you go to access them earlier before they were actually put on and your computer hasn't renewed it's cache or something? Try refreshing the page. I think most people have the actual page bookmarked so that once they appear they get downloaded in quantity in a short space of time, therefore, maybe you hit a bottleneck? UPDATING THE UPDATE "mdmc82" i've just noticed that you posted within about 4 minutes of my post saying the racecards were now online. I think you were just unfortunate and you must have got bullied off in the initial rush lol! Truly sorry if that's the case but i'm sure, if you haven't already, you'll access them easily enough now. I'm off out for the day now but i can assure you, i've just glanced at the server logs again and there hasn't been any interruption in them coming off the servers at all. All the best and let's hope we all get a grand Grand Prix.

Superb aerial photographs of the track on this official page whether they are from Google Earth or another similar service i shall check in a few minutes. http://www.mscberghaupten.de/de/component/content/article/1-ueber-den-msc/2-die-strecke.html It certainly is an amazing picturesque setting. If the weather is fine you're heading for a very good time. UPDATE I'm just scouring their website right now, it's very detailed and some great history and photos but......for the life of me i can't see an actual address let alone directions! Wierdest thing i've ever seen. I don't think my German has deprecated that much since i had a German girlfriend a few years ago lol. There's a very detailed map of the track's actual site and buildings/facilities etc. Maybe it's because i'm rushing to head out, but not totally convinced that's the case.

Good luck to them indeed but whoa! BEST Pairs What on earth is the criteria that considers Kyle Newman and Ashley Morris to be England's 'best' pair? I'm astonished. Both riders race in the THIRD TIER of the sport in the UK, the National League. Ashley Morris has ridden 11 matches for Leicester in the second tier , the Premier League, for an average of 2.38!!! Kyle Newman has ridden 21 matches for Newcastle in the second tier for an average of 5.05! Kyle Newman has also ridden 9 matches in the top Elite League where his average is 1.43!!! Like i say best wishes but wow! talk about a case of false advertising. I'd sue if i was a newcomer to the sport and went along expecting to see the BEST pairs in Europe

Elitserien Round 16
manchesterpaul replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Thanks to Ghostwalker for the write-ups. Hope everyone enjoys the meeting. I'm as interested in several riders performances for varying reasons as much as the match result. I'll only be watching for 90 minutes and recording the rest because i want to watch two Champions League matches at the same time live lol. Guess Alan has won the best weather award, i'm well jealous. Signing out for the evening let's hope we have a good one. -

! Excuse me, this is the UK we don't have 'Fall' we have Autumn lol. -
Ooooops typo there, i meant hundreds, it's the racecards get the four figure number of hits. The tables reflects the results so far, no predicting future results or placings at all (neither does the plus/minus predict). It is a table of how they stand right now up to and including the very latest match to be raced. It takes the home and away results and extrapolates them to the total number of fixtures raced in a season. A simplistic illustration; it's the same as two teams having raced 8 and 6 times respectively, then one divides their points by fixtures raced and multiply by ten, which would then give an even yardstick to measure by. One that one can glance at and see instant standings. Technically you could say that is 'predicting' the results over 10 fixtures, but it's actually using 10 as a yardstick. Although ,obviously the MiniMax projected points extrapolates over the 9 different point outcomes available in a match and projects them on to the number of fixtures to be raced over the season in the respective leagues. It's using the end number of fixtures as a yardstick. It is as they stand today on matches raced. In the way it is done there is clearly a side-effect that it can end up being remarkably accurate as to the final end of season standings in a predictive way too. But, that's merely a bonus, the table shows teams on performances so far. Hopefully, i've clarified it in the post earlier with the examples above, i don't really won't to sidetrack the OP's original thread. Glad. It. Isn't. An. Argument. Then. Merely was a short discussion after i pointed out the plus/minus as it is shown here to be disinformative. Anyways, we're all hijacking the poor chap's thread. Both BB and myself have stated our thoughts about the tables used and i'm happy to leave it at that and let him get on with his thread's original purpose of showing plus/minus tables.
-
Lol, no war going on but......neither of us are PREDICTING what will happen in the future, we are BOTH reflecting the table on results so far. Only difference is mine takes into account the number of home and away matches having taken place and the points gained or lost from them EXTRAPOLATED TO AN EVEN YARDSTICK (of eventual matches to be raced). The plus/minus system is appallingly weak at reflecting that. Incidentally BB did not have Stoke as a clear top team when they WERE a few weeks ago
-
Friendly grrRRRRR......AS DOES THE PROJECTED POINTS BUT FAR, FAR, MORE ACCURATELY AND TRUTHFULLY lol lol. Ok no sweat we'll leave the statements/opinions as they stand for others to judge. However, i suggest you compare the MiniMax tables which have thousands of visitors a day (as in for a bloody good reason lol). An observation, looking at your Elite League table as an example, soon some teams will have completed their fixtures, some will have a majority of home or away fixtures to take place (in speedway the potential points return is drastically different between home and away fixtures in hand) the plus/minus standings as you present them take into account none of that. That makes them astonishingly misleading. I must add the MIniMax, as does your system reflects results so far and does not PREDICT anything in any way. I've been keeping a closer eye than normal on the MiniMax 'projected points' system this year as it is the first time i have made it public and....quite simply it knocks the socks of observations from all corners of the sport regarding to the TRUE standings on performances SO FAR...RIGHT NOW AS OF TODAY. Anyway BB, honest respect to you for attempting to provide information/insight for others. No war, all is good

Is this being televised at all? If so we can search for links to view it on the web -
'barrow boy' don't get me wrong each to his own and no big sweat but......i must stress and point out again how misleading und DISINFORMATIVE the plus/minus rankings are. I'll reiterate a couple of points from above and include an example of why the MiniMax projected points system is far more accurate. Words in bold font and capital letters are just key points. Incidentally, regards your reply above, the MiniMax projected points obviously reflects changes instantly. I see your plus/minus system is only now putting a gap between King's Lynn and the two weaker teams i mentioned existed weeks ago. Crucially, it DID exist THEN but the plus/minus didn't show it. The MiniMax projected points is indeed an 'as they stand NOW' table too, only an infinitely more accurate one than the plus/minus system. Also, the projected points table is even easier to glance at and comprehend as there are no plus and minus prefixes, just points instead. I think that is extremely simple to understand. Anyways, each to his own and i'll certainly not be following you around the forums pointing out the 'error of your ways' lol lol. So all the best and i'll leave you with a comparison of the two systems in action.

Chuckle, Chuckle at your plug and cheque comments. And of course i never doubted your capabilities. Joking aside, don't worry Dave as mentioned in the past i'm not heaping blame on your software. 100% full benefit of the doubt. I know that one of the most hilarious blunders last season just had to be human input error! Not sure if i should have started a new thread asking fans if they are interested in obtaining FREE Speedway software, but as it's not ready yet it's probably best to just respond to your post here rather than take up extra space. I'm just a little disappointed that after a clear improvement this season in the Sky team being aware of all the permutations, and passing most of the info on, that they have recently reverted to the dire confusion of previous years. I'm not talking about any verbal slip-ups or a moment of absent-mindedness but am referring to when they embarrassingly give repeated incorrect output. Annoyingly and unforgivably it's 95% of the time on the semi-final qualifying permutations. Presuming your software presents the same high level of information at a glance as mine does it's a very poor show by Sam to not be capable of comprehending what is in front of him in simple plain sight. Don't wish to lay the blame on him without having seen your software but It's the only thing i can think of as the cause of some of the statements that are made or not made. Many a time i can actually figure out the information that he's missing/not read. I was going to add not passed on, however, in view of what at times he is saying it often indicates he hasn't seen on his screen (or not got on his screen) the necessary stats and facts. One thing i must congratulate you on is how you are saving an absolute fortune, as i'm sure to purchase the advertising time on Sky that Sam gets you would amount to a hefty sum lol. I'd keep it quiet from their advertising revenue department though On a serious note, i am very surprised that your product does keep getting free plugs on air. As far as i'm aware not only would/should Sky have strict guidelines as a broadcaster regards product placement or endorsement by a presenter but there are actually very strict Govermental regulations on such matters. I don't think it matters whether a presenter is being paid to mention (= advertise) a product or he does so out of, for example, friendship or mere personal like for something he has. There has been a big uproar with Sky and their NFL fans for a couple of years now. They have a daily magazine programme called 'Total Access' which was always on. Unfortunately, we've had two years or so now of it being pulled at the last minute and often only being shown once a week - Sky fuzzing out logos etc for just one episode. The reason being because of product placement or advertising falling foul of strict UK regulations. The fact that many of the products are not available in the UK makes no difference. I think ESPN get away with it because they are not registered in the UK. Pulling all that back to speedway.......is that i know if i decide to go commercial with my software i'd be a little miffed at what would be a 'rival' product receiving such free advertising and endorsements. My original plans and current intentions are to make my version available FREE to EVERYONE. Having said that i am receiving strong advice to make it available commercially. It certainly seems to be streets ahead of Sky in producing correct information as to who is in and who is out of the qualifying chase ahead of each race and in other areas. Again, i point out i'm not saying anything against your own software, i'll put that down to the presenter not being able to read and/or convey the relevant correct information in front of him. I'm still hopeful of getting it to fans for FREE. Reasons pushing me down that road rather than make money from it include; 1. Most of all i do believe in utilizing the internet in the spirit of it's early days and sharing and giving information and applications free of charge to all. Obviously using information already in the public domain or for educational purposes etc. 2. Biggest obstacle right now to even making the free version available is simply lack of spare time. 3. If charging for it that undoubtedly means the hassle of; a. Registering it as a business. b. Registering for VAT and more work on one's own personal taxation paperwork. c. If one is making money on the back of the SGP series one presumes one has to obtain (and pay for) a license from IMG/BSI. I'm surprised that some fans often use the official trademark logo's of the SGP on literature they produce, that's a severe no-no (not referring to yourself!). d. Lol! wait for this......paying Sam more than he's getting paid already or, if he isn't being paid for the plugs, trying to curry favour and/or become his new bestest friend ahead of current favoured rival software producers Despite all the above, having seen the prices charged for Speedway software, which are far higher priced than i expected, it does all look tempting lol. Anyways, no worries, your burgeoning empire is safe for now!!! as i'm so busy right now it's a struggle to find the time to produce the racecards and nightly League tables. Ok admittedly most of the 'busyness' is leisure related and being out and about lol. But, it all results in a lack of time to press ahead with issuing software for now. Incidentally for those interested, once i do get to go ahead with the software i will obviously add it to my racecard page. So i guess it''s watch that space! -
You're welcome. I always think that being armed with a little bit of knowledge makes a meeting infinitely more enjoyable. Got to admit i'm very surprised that tv commentators and studio teams rarely pick up on the points per gate stat that shows up in the section of the racecard you refer to. They have referred to it occasionally but not as often as i think it deserves to be. Quite often the number of gate winners is misleading and i always glance at the accumulative POINTS total for each gate. As i think that can often give a truer picture or correct the seeming great imbalance of the gates. The racecard as you now know allows you to accumulate the running totals as well as glance at the race wins from the gates. Once you spend a couple of meetings using it, it becomes quick to fill in. Also, as mentioned before one can of course choose to fill in as few or as many sections as one wishes to. If you think the physical racecard is good, you'd certainly like the interactive spreadsheet i use, it's proven again and again to leave Sky standing in speed and information. All you do is enter the heat results and everything is updated to do with the meeting and series. I won't prattle away here the information about it is on the website.

Not sure how much or if Sam gets paid to plug Kandysoft every week or whether it's even permitted to do so. However, if the software is up to what mine does i'd strongly sugggest Sam speaks up and passes the information on to the studio team a lot earlier. If i can type, as slow as i do and post on a forum all the details and permutations before Sky mention it on air (or don't mention as is often the case), then surely Sam (if like my info in front of me, all is visible) can mention to his team the correct scenarios? If you have and see the info please Sam let the viewers know. Any newcomers watching will just think what on earth! when they keep retracting and rehashing what is at stake. Having said that they have improved massively this year and greatest thanks to Sky for us having a studio team. Worth every penny of my subscription to Sky for the sport.
