  1. OK tell a lie in public who predicted Franc to win that?
  2. First 3 heats Red wins let's hope it's just coincidence the best riders were in those gates! I guess if Chris Harris wins the next it beyond doubt it an unbalanced track lol...sorry Chris i do want you to win.
  3. I'm in Manchester and therefore a Lancashire cricket fan but no way should it be taking precedence over the Speedway Grand Prix.
  4. Desperately needed good news for the Prague GP and the series. Desperately bad news for the Prague GP and series. So long as my recent memory capacity isn't going the same way of my long-term memory (downhill) lol......certainly last season i think they always had the standings. I would have thought it would be one of the first and most basic requirements of a GP preview. I do hope certain important sections are not being shunted to the online Extra edition? Please do not touch the sacred averages, they are superb covering every team in the printed version of the Speedway Star. I do like having a current interview discussing upcoming and previous GP's with a rider attached to the SGP preview. Incidentally for those who don't yet know*** the two versions of the MiniMax racecards both have current standings included. The main one also has provision (and pre-printed current) for accumulative heat-by-heat GP Meeting and SGP SERIES totals for the riders. *** (What!!! there might be some undiscovered Amazonian tribe who have not yet got to hear of the MIniMax Racecards despite my best efforts lol lol) OK for any newbies to the sport.... 5. Feel guilty toddling of out for a few hours now especially if, as is likely, Kenni on his way to hospital! Popping out to the pub for a few drinks and get back to update the League tables* before we settle down to watch Nascar into the early hours of the morning. Then SGP and Nascar again tomorrow night, it's a good start to the weekend. Enjoy the rest of the meeting all. It's been a good week of Speedway with lots of meetings available. Ditto in the thanks of the appreciation of the translations given for us. *(ok will very likely have to delegate that task to one of the ladies staying at home, they're doing their own thing until we get back)
  6. It certainly does bring home the very real dangers lurking during every second of a speedway race. Some might watch and think they have settled into their places and will in effect 'ride' around until the end of the race. However at the speeds they are going it only takes a seconds worth of lack of concentration, catching a rut or hole in the track at the wrong angle, or a part of the bike failing suddenly and then the damaging speed they are going at shows up in it's violent hurling around of a human body that can't do much to protect itself.
  7. Was just thinking it's a good job our Coventry representative not around, alas you caught sight of it. Bit hard to figure out what happened as the rider seemed to go level with the bike on the ground and then be spun up and around horizontal to the track!. Ouch! yeah just seen one thing i thought had happened in a replay, he appeared to hit his head direct with very strong force on his initial landing. That might explain why he flew up in the body position he did if he was momentarily unconscious??? Not necessarily a bad thing as they often reckon it's best to let yourself go as limp as you can rather than tense muscles and stiffen joints. I'm sure i saw him moving his leg after coming to a halt though, depends on how woozy he was as to whether he didn't writhe in agony with, say a broken leg. Hopefuly he's just really dazed and nothing broken?
  8. That was a sickening looking crash the way the bodies (live ones i hasten to add) flew about and landed. Hope it's the usual case of riders walking away from the worst looking ones.
  9. Oh wow just seen that very wierd. I've always presumed that the 'run of the mill' user only have one hour to edit posts, however, as you always update the original post on many occasions i presume you've been granted special privileges/account to do so. Therefore if you can permanently edit the original and can't see the likely one little glitch causing the problem i think there are a couple of quick ways to correct it. You can copy it as it is showing now and paste it into a free online html/code remover and repaste afresh. Alternatively, if you haven't got it already on your computer download (obviously free) Notepad++ that can do a thousand things with text and code editing etc. It's an absolutely essential part of any computer in my eyes. One thing i have noticed when the forum is running slow (it has again these last few days for me) when one presses edit and the box appears, for a few seconds on occassions you will see the post in html/forum code form. Maybe you pressed 'post' before it got a chance to change or it glitched itself whilst in transition. UPDATE I see you've posted in the forum's own section on this now. I'll pop over to that with an observation.
  10. OK, ran me socks off and put them online so AVAILABLE as of NOW! You can directly download them from the top of the following page. MiniMax Racecard 2012 CZECH REPUBLIC Grand Prix Basic Version MiniMax Racecard 2012 CZECH REPUBLIC Grand Prix
  11. Does watching a man paint a white line hold the same fascination as watching them dig holes in the road? Ok signing out from both Danish and Swedish threads let's hope we get some racing from both meetings?
  12. Hope you are getting paid well as your commentary is a vast improvement on the previous season and has stopped tons of flak directed at Premier Sports in it's tracks. The previous bloke did his best but was clearly unaware of basic speedway matters. Nice to see it hasn't taken you long to realize when in doubt check out the graphics on screen. There were some comical moments last year with the previous commentator oblivious to who was actually racing in a heat. Once you get familiar with the rules on reserve and tactical substitutions you'll be able to spot any potential pitfalls looming. I'll definitely be renewing my subscription to Premier Sports next year now that the Speedway is guaranteed for a another season in addition to this.
  13. I notice it has "19:00" in the ticker so i guess it delayed to 18:00BST and 19:00 CET I'm just eating at the moment but will scribble down what it says and put it through Google Translate in a few mins.
  14. Available in the afternoon following the draw on Friday are the TWO different versions of the MiniMax Racecard. Once again the official SGP site has on the home page the draw to take place at 17:15 local time = 16:15 BST. However upon clicking the link the actual draw page still has emblazoned 13:00 (12:00 BST). Unfortunately, for those who print off the racecards at work, it is likely to be the apparently new time of 17:15 (16:15 BST). I'll certainly do my utmost to get them on to the servers as speedily as possible and will pre-prepare as much as possible in advance to facilitate that. 15. If a rider slows suddenly/locks up and the rider behind can't avoid him and bedlam ensues then who is the cause of the stoppage in a referee's eyes? You do see old London red buses in lots of countries too!
  16. Clearly not 'Mark' he already left! 'tis true patience is a virtue, glad i stayed to watch. Sorry Mark but errrm "better luck tomorrow" (ok couldn't resist that lol)
  17. There had been passing at the time of your post and, as with the staging of pretty much most speedway meeting since the start of the sport, been very good racing as it's gone on. Big turnaround and clearly momentum ahead of the deciding last race is with the home top scorers.
  18. Was about to say it is to be hoped Chris Harris can repeat this in the GP on Saturday......leading Nicki Pedersen......but he got overtaken lol
  19. Was just a blip of few seconds whilst they switched to a channel promotion break. Also a good thing with Premier Sports i like is that they show highlights from the previous meeting during the tractor breaks.
  20. Didn't expect an away heat advantage in that race. Looks like we can get some good racing tonight hopefully. I've sent links to a couple of you via message/PM or something lol. I so not got the hang of the forum yet!
  21. If Vastervik are to have a chance they'll likely need Chris Harris to have a good meeting?
  22. Heads up we got a bonus match this week on Premier Sports TV with Swedish racing live tomorrow as well. With, i think, a Danish match being available online at the same time it will ease the often lengthy tractor time-outs that one suffers. BST time will be Danish match at 17:30 and Swedish at 18:10
