Thanks for the Thanks, you're welcome. I'm not a stato in that i don't keep and re-read either my own racecards or the match programmes that i fill in at the tracks. However, as with the Swedish racing on the TV it does in my eyes make a huge difference to be able to look at a racecard and see who's scored what and who's due to race who in the heats ahead. Sure Speedway is good even if you haven't a clue who is riding and you simply watch the four different colour helmeted riders racing around, but more knowledge is more enjoyment.

It's always worth trying to find out when the repeat is scheduled to run and Sky+ that too. That way if there is a one hour delay in starting the meeting or during it (or more think of the World Cup in recent years) you'll get to see the whole meeting with the 'rain watching' intermission edited out. I know a lot of people will always set the speedway with the manually record option and add a little bit extra. You can't always record the next programme as they suggest in case that is an event that is scheduled to go on for hours. Many speedway meetings have overrun by a shocking amount of time due to weather. The same happens with Nascar racing on another channel. I think we get away with murder on the Sky platform at times, possibly our sport has intruded on the schedule of others a lot more than the other way around.

Danish tv just showed a Championship scorechart with the points earned in the final included. So guess that must be the way it goes. I would think though that the winner of the 'final' race does indeed stand top of the rostrum. The temporary card did it's job but i've now withdrawn it due to the confusion over what points count to what (although i think we got it figured out now). The card for the second leg will have provision for accumulative heat-by-heat series points in addition to the meetings overall grid.

Do the points earned in the final count towards the Danish Championship? Is the 1-2-3 in the final the result of the meeting as in a GP? Is the result of the meeting the total of heat points AND the points earned in the final?

Lol i know struck me the first Danish League meeting that was on. But, no way complaining for two reasons...1.We got a great free live stream and 2. Don't have to turn the volume down because of hysterical screaming (hell, i even find myself turning it up!).

A HA! there is a final too! Ok so don't ignore the final part lol lol lol. I did appeal for information on the format of the meeting when i arrived home less than an hour before the start, however, nobody was around. I got my rider line-up from SportoweFakty and they made no mention of a 'FInal' heat. No worries at all like i say it was just a quickie for myself and members in the international section of the forum to keep tabs on the scores. I'll be putting an amended racecard up later after the meeting. Needless to say the racecard for the second leg will be a goood 'un. Great line-up for heat 14. Great win for Nicki Pedersen too.

Just checked it's not scheduled to be on. You threw me for a moment as i didn't have any notes in my calendar for it as a televised meeting. Sky did have lots of tributes for and highlights of Lee Richardson during Monday's meeting.

The rough and ready racecard at short notice did it's job in keeping score of the meeting whilst using the GP template. Now that the meeting is over i've withdrawn it. Heat 8 was a good 'un. Let's hope it's a sign of the meeting warming up. Hee hee! So did Kildemand. Mind you we all have our favourites it's cool. Uh oh always bad when you can HEAR the rain on the tv broadcast. It's all Alan's fault there is a thing such as balance in Nature and the Universe and that Ying and Yang 'thing'. Alan's sunny skies mean the clouds have to be pushed elsewhere lol.

Here in UK you can bet on anything with a bookies shop on every high (and others lol) street. It still stuns me when i hear of people in America not being able to bet, yet you can all buy guns lol!. Hmmmm! i might be safer over here as betting can't kill you. Or can it? i nearly had a heart attack with my last sporting bet lol.

If two of our international sources of information on the Danish scene MrMungo or Iris123 can provide or point to the definite official line-up for the final meeting AND confirm that it runs along the normal 20 Heat individual format, i can very hastily set up a racecard as it's being officially streamed LIVE and FREE on the internet. I've just got in so have very limited time to try and search and translate for a site giving details. Premier Sports have certainly found a hidden gem in that we have a live sport to fill the early evening which isn't football, rugby, cricket or any other ball game. Variety is the spice of life! Truly hope the weather improves for the Danish Final really looking forward to that so early in the season.

Fortunately i spy floodlights they might need them depending upon when it goes dark in Sweden. Speedway at midnight in one of the Lands Of The Midnight Sun. They therefore might not need them even at midnight lol.

I must say i think it's an excellent idea that the Elitserien has in having two reserve races with no substitutions allowed. It's very nice to see the second one relatively late in the meeting too. Gives them more experience of pressure.
