Hope not tempting fate as a fierce Heat 15 awaits, but had hoped pre-meeting we'd get a crash free one for once following recent ones with plenty of them. I don't recall any collisions so far tonight.

Still ok in view of the fact it's on tv. I certainly would have estimated it to be more than that, so it just shows you how greatly exaggerated at times are the UK crowds. Fans and media often quote 3,000-5,000 when they are clearly less than i see now on the tv screen for this match. Upon reflection i think the level of crowds at a lot of UK matches must be horrifically low.

Amazing when you consider people die from a single stumble whilst walking or fall in their home. Albeit they don't have a crash helmet on!

I tend to view him in the same way as i do with Manchester United after they won the treble. By that i mean i wouldn't have cared if Man U never won another trophy again as they gave their all and provided ultimate entertainment and drama. Same goes for the British GP win of Chris Harris and in particular the fashion it was done in. Any trophies won by either of them since their breathtaking heroics is a bonus..

Yeah but don't always see that many. Superb news. Also, i'm impressed indeed that again despite TV cameras a very healthy crowd for the televised match. Quite the opposite when Sky come to town. People quote the recession etc that fans stay at home when a match is on TV, but Sweden is one of the most expensive countries in Europe to live in and the fans turn up in force. Is speedway admission priced favourably?

Always a bright side to life, i've been to many a bitterly cold meeting in the UK having to write in changes in every heat into the match programme with rigid frozen fingers lol. Usually those are the meetings that go long into the night too. At least i'm shielded from such elements watching at home on the telly.

I remember this track, it's the one with nearly 30 advertising billboards on the centre green. Presuming they are not all for the same company wow what a fund raising team that club has, very impressed.

Hmmmm that's interesting. Premier Sports TV here in the UK still (10:15am BST) have the Valsarna versus Indianerna meeting listed to be televised, Including the main ticker tape headline banner. Additionally they also have it listed for live streaming at $4 (worldwide except for Scandinavia and Poland). Just checked the Sky TV guide and they have it as the Valsarna meeting. I might have to issue a second racecard for the one you refer to just in case they've switched at late notice eeeeek!. If this is the case are the Swedish Leagues the only ones in the world (history?) of speedway not to use bonus points? It triggers three questions, 1. If they don't apply one presumes that a rider finishing behind his team mate obviously gets paid less. 2. Does that therefore not automatically promote risky racing rivalry in a heat with riders from the same team doing their utmost to cut each other off etc. and get paid more, and in doing so endangering a safe heat advantage to one where an opponent can take advantage of a battle between team mates? 3. I see the averages don't include them but do they count in reality as in the rest of the sport by teams 'paying' bonus points?
