Mildenhall V Dudley - Ko Cup Final 1st Leg - Sunday 7th October
Damon replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
What a meeting ! firstly I hope Byron Bekkers injuries aren't as bad as rumoured around the track. Although he didnt take any further part in the meeting it had some impact but not as much as I thought it might, as our resrves were first class. Josh Bates first meeting back and he was excellent, and Terry Daley has his best meeting so far aswell.... Garrity is class and I hope we can book him for all the remaining meetings.... Jacobs, Halsey, Nielson all played their part. 28 points will that be enought? i hope so.... well done MIldenhall.... -
I doubt IOW v Mildenhall will be on either tonight.
-
For whatever reason attendances are never published, unless anyone can say differently, so it really comes down to people standing there and have a quick rough count up.
-
I would say Mildenhall can be anything from 500 (trophy match) to around 1000? for a decent league fixture.
-
was jayne at mildy or is she just not bothered any more if not sell up girl (earlier post by you) Is Jayne and Mrs Moss the same person? if so you have changed your tune ?
-
I dont think we believe we can just have any riders as you put it. Simply Kerr looks a good prospect on his average 5.5 somehting? unless that changes, and I would like him at Mildenhall next year. Obviously if KL dont run next year he will be looking for a club to ride for and he isnt at EL or PL standard just yet, so NL Mildenhall, with the likes of Lee,Louis,Henry and Jolly as guidance and help could bring him on further. If KL run NL then I would fully expect him to be there with them, but who knows.
-
Mildenhall were far to strong for Buxton today, and I totally agree with the Lewis Kerr comments, he would fit in at Mildenhall next year, as long as the league all stays in its current format.

Good luck to Dudley, just not against Mildenhall Ideally we would all have loads of riders to choose between at all levels, but the reality is we haven't. If you are running a club to attract customers and fans then you have to be competative and Dudley are, so they have built something worth watching. If the NL was solely a development league where for instance you lose your number 1 and then you give that position to a youngster who isnt really anygood, then it makes you uncompetative, the fans won't continue to pay money for that product for long. Ideally you could have the NL and then a league that sits beneath this to help promote and improve the lads that aren't of a standard to race to paying public each week. This has happened to some extent in the junior 2nd half racing this year, but this needs to be done at all clubs all over the country. The problem is there doesnt seem to be enough riders to go round, so we all have to keep using each others, this happens from EL down to NL. This is in an ideal world, and unfortunately we don't have that in Britain with Sppedway, so for the time being we have to get on with what structure and rules we do have and the rules say Dudley can sign Joe Haines.

sounds all good.....

Footballs not great ?? the bit about the beer is correct.

Damon ! the name is in the title, from Mildenhall.

I have said for ages the only views on here, worth anything, are the ones where people are strong and bold enough to put there real identity behind them, not sit there typing away, afraid to say who they are.Its like having a conversation with someone in a pub who insists on hiding behind a curtain and wont show their face !

Where now for Mildenhall, the easy option would be Terry Daley and Graver. However I personally dont think that will be strong enough for the play offs. I understand this is a development league and I feel Mildenhall have done well this year bringing some lads on,just imagine if we still had Stoneman and Bates fit? That would be an awesome line up. I have had a look at the averages out there and I'm not certain really where we can turn. Any ideas?

Did Mildenhall cheat their way to this win????? HITMANPOWER !

Can we replace him with another signing or has that time passed?

Robert Lambert National League Next Year?
Damon replied to Damon's topic in National League Speedway
How would you suggest he gets an average for NL, or PL then? could he use his German average? or do the BSPA say, "well he looks good, so he can have an average of 7" He has to have the same rule applied as every other youingster coming into the league for the first time. -
Mlldenhall New Signing! Welcome Back Aaron Baseby.

Surely if any team has an injured rider they can either use r/r or replace with someone else? as long as the averages fit? -
Robert Lambert National League Next Year?

finding a rider who can increase their average is surely the idea? -
I haven't seen him yet, but here he can ride. I suppose he will look for a NL spot next year? will he be old enough? If so any idea of who he will sign with? If he is as good as people say, then he would be welcome at Mildenhall !

Are you going to Cardiff this weekend ? I think you like all those genuine number 1 s!! plenty on show there....

British Grand Prix 2012
Damon replied to willstaxi's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
simply print out a blank race card/template and write the riders in once known. -
I heard that we had to bring Kerr in at the last minute due to the start time being changed?? we had Harris ligned up as number 1 but he can only be there if it started earlier. So come on Heathens stop playing games and let us have an elite league rider at number 1 to even things up a bit. If this isnt sorted I will be very angry and will keep my pounds in my wallet back here in Sedge Fen ! and will not attend. If you do however revert back to what was organised and originally planned at the local scouts meeting in Dudley by a lad called Jones, then I might attend, but if anyone takes my tigers flag down and throws it in the Wolverhampton dust, i will not be happy.

I suppose you have to look at the common denominator. -
Anyone got a racecard template that can be filled in once the draw has been made? Every year it seems someone puts one together on Friday, but we are leaving before then so will not be online. I dont really want to pay the £10 for the glossy mag. cheers

Enjoyable meeting ! it had most things.. Well done to Garrity, I thought he looked very good. All our riders played their part at somepoint.
