Once overheard an Aussie rider referring to N. Pedersen as a "Danish C***!" Guess there are many things that can be construed as racism and personally I think we over-react on most occasions. However the blatant mocking of a Black rider with Nazi salutes etc. is disgusting and should be stamped out! Oh the irony of Poles saluting in a Nazi style??..

I think that Ricco, Nicholls and Harris have the ability yes. They are as able as some of the Danes, Poles and Swedes and know they have beaten these guys on many occasions in the Elite League. Not sure whether it's nerves or self doubt that makes them fail to deliver on the big stage. Surely there are high levels of expectation from Polish, Danish and Swedish Fans in the build up to tournaments such as this. The Foreigners seem to thrive on the pressure whereas our guys fail to step up. Why?

Where is the old Bulldog spirit? Seems more Bullsh*t than Bulldog right now. Think the Guys need to show a big level of determination and Team spirit on Thursday. No excuses, just get on those bikes and ride with passion. Then we can all be proud, regardless of the result! The top three know they are better than their showing last night and if they lead by example then the likes of Tai and Ed will be pumped too!

On last nights performance it looks like the GB bikes were tuned by forks!..

I wasn't shocked that GB were so poor last night. Never thought we would get near the Danes but thought the Czechs wouldn't be a threat to us and we could at least challenge the Swedes for second. You haven't patronised me cos I totally agree. My comments toward Subedei arise from many of his previous postings not necessarily connected to the WTC.

Just throw in the youngsters. Give them a taste of what's ahead and let's see if youthful exuberance can overcome nerves and expectation. Team GB have absolutely nothing to lose now.

Not just about differing opinions. Agree that some of his views are interesting and informative, but many are just patronising toward other forum members. I hope that last night was a wake-up call to the Management and agree with most other posters that Thursday should be all about blooding new young riders for the future. Throw in Tai, Bridger and Kennet, maybe even Barker and try to get Havvy or Floppy involved too cos they showed great passion and pride riding for their Country.

I think Lynch should learn to speak more clearly to his riders. Obviously Nicholls thought his manager was playing the 'CHOKER' in that heat!
