Posf1 - Belle Vue Aces Vs Swindon Robins, 14 Sep 2015
Dogstar replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
People should leave poor old Rosco alone. Absolute pillar of society that bloke and very intelligent to boot. Shuns publicity, always conducts himself in a professional manner, loyal and faithful husband and father. What's not to love about this guy? I hear it took years for the BSPA to convince him to take the Team GB Managers job and it's ridiculous to suggest that he only got the gig because nobody else would touch it. Cut the guy some slack. He'll always be a hero to me. -

I hope that the gaps created by the refusal of the wildcards will be made up by the riders who competed in the GP qualifiers? Only seems fair to me. -
Just want to congratulate Greg on a fine display this season. A worthy World Champion. Well done Greg!!!

Swc Race Off Confirmed Line Ups

I think the Boys will try their best, but I agree that 4th place is my expectation for tonight. No chance against the Swedes and Aussies and even those Ruskies look strong. Ah well... there's always next year. -
I thought I'd found it for you, but the one I found was quite short one end and had a white strip across the bottom.

Told you before that you are wasting your time with the wierdity that is Subedei. Ever since his anal bypass operation he has been spouting nothing but crap. Unless you are kissing the butts of all things Polish, your opinions count for nothing. -

Think yourself lucky that they weren't all 3 foot munchkins, dressed in black, fat and sporting facial hair. It was Italy after all!.. -

Seems that THJ is a bit bashed up but sitting in the pits and suffering mild concussion. Sounds as though Nicholls was taken to the infirmary with suspected whiplash injuries. Hope both are ok soon.
-
Agreed. Did help that GB were in the mix and ended up winning, but doesn't gloss over the fact that these two meetings have been pretty dire as a spectacle. Think tonight was worse than monday. Is it too late to change the final to Somerset or Scunny??
-
Yeah but what a pile of poop of a meeting for the viewing public. I have stayed watching, but this meeting does nothing to promote speedway as a spectacle.
-
Crap track and a crap meeting. Should be at Kings Lynn. Total borefest tonight!! Can't wait for the final....not!

ยจ If it works with speedway then maybe they could try it in Athletics. -

I said I thought it was a decent meeting but didn't get a trembling in me nutsack over it like some on here. If I found a fiver at BV of course I'd be delighted, that's a whole pint of beer at KL on racenight. -

Watched the whole meeting and thought it was decent. Some good races and close scoring which kept it interesting, but some of the comments on this thread are making out it was the best thing since sliced bread? In comparison to the crap we are used to on Sky this was an improvement and a decent advert for the sport, but to rave about it seems a bit ott to me. -
Should be Team England. The sooner we can distance ourselves from the Sweaty Socks and Sheep Shaggers, the better!..
-
Great to see that Bjerre's leg held up for this meeting. Deserves his place in the GP.
-
Maybe Holta needs to consider changing his nationality again?
-
Have to agree. I think NP is gonna dominate the world scene for a few more years.
-
Yeah and he is Swedish now looking at the graphics...lol

Like watching at the Abbey Stadium....

Even more Thursday nights for Sullivan to miss if he qualifies and rides for the Panthers next season. LOL

Did seem to get bunched in, but didn't seem to fight very hard into the first turn. In fact he appeared to shut off the throttle and let the others go. Good meeting so far and a lot look very hungry indeed. Should be a corker after a few more heats.
