  1. no youre not - just a bandwagon climber - Scunny fulfilled thier fixtures and amassed an almost unaissailable set of points and scores - particulalry by demolishing the Comets at the EWR - so on balance I beleive the decision - with no opportunity to fit the replay in was sensible if a touch harsh on the Comets - there was opprtunity to get the fixture done in time - you'll have to ask the perspective clubs why not. Rob G bemoaned the issue two weeks ago that it was going to the wire and a risky strategy - Scunny did all THEY could - so climb off and stop stoking kindling or it will be more than Arson fire
  2. And jamlad prods a stick in the nest - oh dear they're short of conversation again and wish to tarnish someone
  3. The Scorpions were simply outstanding - to a man. Josh Auty doesnt know when he's beaten and is a true winner, deserved his paid max and off the injury bed to boot Skidders was excellent value (as ever) id have him in my team if he fitted Rich Hall as committed as ever at the EWR - aheavy spill and injured wrist were blown away by a win and a paid win in his next two - I have a lot of respect for Hally Ash Birks , Mr Smiley rode his butt off again - rode the dreaded wall of death and was superb yet again - has matured into a true top five racer MPT was awesome (words accredited to the missing Thomas Jorgensen) unbeaten in 7 rides, hes been on fire of late and has his place in the history books now - paid 21 from 7 - Outstanding Gary Irving, on his one last engine and looked super quick , great heat win and unlucky to lose a ride and not score more Comets - Bach and Tero were good, Lawson avearge after a good opening win, and Kyle Howarth showed well Scorpions deserved the big win and deserve the spoils of a final - whether they get it is in the lap of the Gods !
  4. Sheffield fans are very welcome at the EWR - in fact anyone is - and the racing is second to none - We hammered Workington last night in our biggest win of 2012 BUT the score doesnt reflect the quality of the racing - Rene Bach, Tero Aarnio and to a lesser extent Kyle Howarth and the early showing Richard Lawson entertained and pushed the racing up a notch. Hopefully we'll get the final we deserve - then you can all come in your hundreds to see a top night's racing !
  5. singling my post out for a mistype was up there too - hence the call - playground = playground
  6. Auty - MPT and TJ = is never ever gonna happen - and my spelling was bang on before you get on your horse spin dick
  7. Josh Auty - a born entertainer and winner, never knows when hes beaten Ash Birks - a rare gent in modern times and has gone from strenght to strength TJ - Danish flyer and will be bona fide heat leader mateiralin 2103 (Sheff doubters take note - er squall n co R.Worall - a final PL hurrah and club asset to boost - robbed of an top averaging 2012 Nick Morris - cos the elite snt enough - would be fab to see him return Wliko/Gazza/MPT - whichever fits - personallt id go with the latter two if we can accomodate Stefan Nielsen/tom young - assuming we need to put a 3pointer in these two are bang likely - id plump Stefan JUST
  8. stunning effort - nuff respect - hope the Irving household is ready for the Invasion !
  9. well yeah he is - a good option but maybe Wilko wouldnt fancy a return - its all relative
  10. Jorgensen for Doolan - il have glass of that there potent stuff you're on
  11. Ash is a seriosuly great lad - always a big grin and a handhake - He's a top fella Though he drinks shandy (actually he doesnt - but he'll know where im coming from)
  12. Stead wont join Sheff - defo MPT either If you dont ant Skideers Scunny may fit him in -
  13. HarSH OR what - Lemo got an injury and Robbo carried you - losinf Richie worral fooke it up - tho Nedermark at res has been stunning
  14. Tabaka was fab - I made a point of grabbing him in the pits (as oppose to his testicles) and shaking him by the hand for his spirited efforts as well as thanking him for his entertainment - he was Top drawer - and as for Craig Cook - Get well soon lad MPT was well on the gas and entertained - Nick Morris was outstanding, as was Josh. Gazzler scored well, NLRC Ash was very good value (as always) and Jason as guest let nobody down - id take him in my 1-7 !!
  15. Scunthorpe were simply too powerful top to bottom - Kus was sensational - but MPT was simply breathtaking - his swoop around the fence was unbelievable - Auty solid as ever and a born winner , Morris didnt win a race but was involved in some fab racing - how he passed inside to out without touching back wheels is pure class. Ash Birks was as solid as ever, he's really made the breakthru this year bona fide top five now. Skidders didnt disappoint and Irving scored superbly from 7 Game on for the top spot !
  16. Redcar are in good form - this wont be an easy one, but I predict an 8 point Home win
  17. Another Sheffield master stroke - Ashworth, Auty, Wilson, Birks , Compton - the list grows
  18. ENtertainment is usually a guarantee at the EWR - let's hope the lads get the silverware they deserve to go with the endeavours of many
  19. Regardless of the missing riders, notably Cook, Howe and Morris- a stunning away win for the mighty Scorps - Sheffield would have loved that one - power shift in the midlands/lower Yorks area perhaps about there!
  20. Pretty much as stated - the Scorpions were coasting until the Riggers rallied, with Skidmore and Hall flying their flag. Ash Birks was immense last night, his best performance of the season for me, Gazza also rode well and will be delighted with his paid 12. Solid stuff throughout, and Josh looked pretty unbeatable - in my opinion he was most unlucky on both his exclusions, the Skidmore clash looked like Skidders went straight into him, forcing him off, though it was not so easy to see from the pits. Wells also seemed to give him a great shove (tho I'm certain he didn't know Auty was there as Josh roared round the outside of him - and seemed to be in front). Overall a decent meeting !
