  1. Wasn't sure it worked like that but that's what I was alluding to . Should be like that across all leagues
  2. No would give riders who want to progress the opportunity to race their piers and develop , the sport in the uk is becoming sink or swim with no development for younger riders then we wonder why the attrition rate is so high and rider numbers are falling
  3. For me heat format should be revised where 6 & 7 meet each other and numbers 2 & 4. Riders 1,3 & 5 should meet each other and numbers 2,4 so you're always racing against riders of their own level or in positions in teams they hope to get to . I will never be convinced that a reserve should ever get the opposition heat leaders
  4. Can't wait for the fall out when it becomes apparent of what's going to happen unless a rain off saves the day. No wonder our sport is laughed at from outsiders as it dies a slow death
  5. It should be but this is speedway so the averages used were from July which are calculated to be a riders average for august. Everyone assumed it would be top 2 at time of meeting as the rules state but this is speedway. Also seems farcical that a rider who only did 1 meeting in July for his club and is currently suspended until after the meeting gets a selection.
  6. Riders were simon Lambert, Conor Mountain , Danyon Hume, Nathan Ablitt, Drew Kemp, Jordan Jenkins ,Ashton Boughen and Luke Harrison so 4 scunthorpe riders and a scunthorpe born rider in the 8 wonder I who could of had a big say in the selection .
  7. Workington take priority as he is signed for them. It was discussed at length with the Speedway office as to what he could or couldn't do if he accepted the guest bookings for Redcar yesterday was a clash of fixtures so Workington got first call . At this moment in time there are no more clashes and if Redcar are happy to keep using him till Jake is fit he will accept the rides.
  8. Does it matter whether it's inside or out a pass is a pass
  9. Luke's first time there on a 500 and we thought other than struggling with the entry to turn 3 early on he rode it well. The race with him and Dayle passing and re passing was fantastic to watch
  10. Limiters are enforced abroad but not in the uk . They are set at 13500 revs so can't go above that personally not sure they help as bikes are only at that level momentarily on the start
  11. Sadly this topic is becoming a reflection of British speedway and it's crazy average driven team building system. In Luke's case comes back after injury scores fairly well and ends up in the main body of the team after 4 meetings which in our opinion for a new rider is a ridiculous state of affairs. Yesterday showed for us even though we were happy with his scores it's a big leap forward due to the way the heats are.
  12. Please can you refrain from talking sense on this forum
  13. Lads were not given the option prior to heat one it was photo and get on with it . Two minutes came on and away they went. Personally think it was the wrong decision as the rain was constant the meeting was never going to finish especially on a 20 heat format where riders have back to back races at heat 4 8 12 and 16 . After heat 4 some wanted to continue others didn't but personally think it was right to stop. Think the sport dodged a bad press bullet yesterday if one rider got hurt riding an unfit track the neigh sayers would be having a field day
  14. Luke like Ashton had heaps of offers to guest last year . We chose not to do anything until after 250cc sgp3 was out the way and then due to circumstances and unavailability he only managed 2 meetings. Not sure on Ashtons offers for this season but we had six and was always getting narrowed down to clubs doing the cup meetings .
  15. Team average on latest sheets is still above the 42 limit with Ace Sam Connor and Luke all adding to there starting averages
