  1. Think that's how the lower league should be with one old hand in each team for knowledge and advice. Riders like Howe Schramm would be great for that role.
  2. When I read the article I interpreted it as put your own house in order be firm with your national licensed riders and if they don't like it block them from riding elsewhere. in fairness he's bang on with it however the likes of woffinden and Lambert will just revert to foreign licences and race under a different national flag.
  3. Got mine bang on time from the shop in our village.
  4. Agree totally but that is the way of the world as you say the new owners are changing things but the history obviously weighs heavy on them
  5. So it's Debbie Hancock fault now , still think they should be allowed in but maybe if there own house was in order the committee couldn't refuse entry.
  6. In fairness those 16 riders are a loss to the sport just think how much knowledge and experience they have and could pass on to junior riders, Wayne Carter was brilliant with the young scorpions team 2005/2008 . Similar could happen with this list. would be great having someone like David Howe in my lads corner
  7. Got ours bang on time from the local shop not missed yet only time I don't get on a Thursday is when I don't go to shop
  8. I wouldn't know that I have no information to back it up. not in any dealings I have had with him. Got to speak as you find .
  9. Unfortunately as has been recently stated by Ellis Perks you don't make a living from it and don't cover costs so is definitely not professional
  10. It's a forum say what you think unless your jenga in disguise and will cry outside the turnstiles
  11. In reply to first post speedway is not a professional sport hasn't been for over 10 years , it's an amateur sport run by enthusiasts. in reply to post 2 do you consider Somerset owner Debbie Hancock a spiv as she is part of the Bspl
  12. In fairness I think you will find it's not a one man show as I understand it the majority of clubs vetoed Plymouth last year he is just the one who has to say it in public because he is the chairman. personally I would like all votes to be transparent so everyone can see who voted for what then see who really is pulling the strings . Instead of just blaming the person who announces it
  13. We have said this even at junior level. My lad has benefited massively on the 125cc by racing in Poland ,Czech, Germany ,holland and Belgium over the last few years . The level was a grade above ours but showed us where we needed to be. Having watched a 250 meeting in Germany again it showed where we can improve. Due to the restrictions this year been unable to compete abroad on the 250 but we have had several conversations with Neil Vatcher about getting into Europe as often as possible as a group or individuals. As you say riding against the same riders every week gives a false impression of where you are.
  14. thing is Poland will run regardless of covid next year but will we in the uk. if I was there age and only definite chance to race (if picked) was Poland thats where i would go. these lads cant hang around on a maybe . if they dont get competitive track time they will stagnate which again is no good for them or the sport here,
  15. no i think they should be allowed however there is a lack of riders if supporters want the same level of rider that are already competing. if they weaken the product slightly and allow good standard NL riders in more than enough to go round. personally think they should stop doubling up or down for any rider over say 23 and no doubling up for any non british passport holder . hopefully that would give more team places and stop young british riders drifting away from the sport as there are the lack of oppertunities
  16. In fairness I make you right that they deserve a place. However unless the world changes and travel restrictions are still in place can't see it happening as they will cite lack of riders to go round . Could work if the product was weakened so more upcoming youth were given a go and national league was changed to a proper development league as was its intention. wait with baited breath for the I'm not paying to watch wobblers brigade comment. But unless something drastic happens can't see the powers that be allowing another club in to the league. Hope I'm wrong
  17. Anlas tyres were used by all riders at the scunthorpe v Leicester challenge and during the under 19 final at the same track. We have used them widely this season on the 250s for practice and ameature meetings found them very hard wearing and giving a consistent ride. Found the best pressure is around 10 psi. We have not used the front one yet but having felt it,it is more pliable in the hand in comparison to the mitas . The rear tyre we found is a bit more difficult to seat.
  18. 100% not Nike he is living back in Finland then heading off to the philipines
  19. Anyone got any thoughts on next season’s team or are we all assuming it’s the same 7 who didn’t ride this year.
  20. donated £10 after watching the meeting as others have said it wasn’t the greatest spectacle but did give a good insight into how to ride the track. Massive difference between those at the top in the way they attacked turn 3 driving in hard allowing the bike to run up to the apex of the corner before allowing the banking to bring the bike round and out of turn 4 on the inside .
  21. Luke Harrision is 13 he is from scunthorpe. He is Wolverhampton mascot however hasn’t had chance to put the 250 round there yet due to some virus thing. He has ridden for Berwick in the junior league for 4 years and rides in as many practice and amateur events as possible.
  22. Personally wouldn’t question crump or schleins inclusion I’m more disappointed in those British riders who declined the invitation.
