  1. No there were two meetings this week Sheffield v wolves and kings Lynn v Peterborough and on Monday I believe it's Belle vue v Sheffield
  2. Well can only say what a fantastic experience the Sgp 3 was full on gp treatment for all riders if they aren't inspired by it all they never will be .
  3. Personally don't agree at youth level we are way off the European lads who all stay 250 a year longer than we have to the 15 year old limit is just designed to bring in the next batch of riders early to fill gaps in the system created by teams wanting the next perceived wonder kid .
  4. Promoting the 250 class is poor in the uk . Problem is in my opinion when most of the boys get on one at 12 or 13 they progress quite quickly as they are simple to ride so when the get to 14 they are instantly pressured to get on a 500 as it's not long before they can ride National league. This inevitably reduces the number in the class age criteria should be 15 to ride a 500 and 16 for national league.
  5. Sgp 3 semi final 1 25/8/22 first heat is 1200 and features British 250 champion Luke Harrison semi final 2 first heat is at 1900 and features Max James and Ace Pijper the final on 26/8/22 first race is 1600 with the top 8 from each semi racing let's hope all the boys make it through
  6. 100% certain this has been looked into extensively as my pilot is now eligible to ride. Regardless of how many heats a rider does as soon as he turns a wheel in the 4th meeting an average is achieved. All official meetings count league , cups , playoffs are included
  7. If that's 7 in total max will get an average as playoffs count towards them. No team can make changes after the 28th of August as that's the cut off date. Decision is do Leicester drop mickie Simpson as he moves to reserve at next meeting as max Perry goes to number 2. Do team James take the opportunity and get an average for next season. Its 4 meetings and it kicks in cups playoffs league all are officially counted.
  8. No you have to actually ride non riding number 8 don't count
  9. Any rider gets an average after 4 meetings regardless of been unattached a guest named in a squad or number 8. We have looked into this intensely as our pilot has just turned 15. Potentially could do 4 meetings at number 8 and have one ride in each meeting. If he won the each heat would be saddled with a 12 point average
  10. Most weeks it's like that . Last night was a good meeting and it's a always better when a the opposition have strong heat leaders
  11. FIM European 250cc Championship June 8, 2022 After completing four rounds of the British Youth Championship for the 250cc and 500cc classes in just over 3 weeks the month of June is now a quiet month ahead of a hectic July. The next two rounds take place on one day with Round 5 at Redcar on the 3rd July with a 11.30am start time then that evening Round 6 at Scunthorpe after their Championship fixture with Edinburgh. As well as the British Youth Championship, the Young Lions also will have representatives in both the FIM European 250cc Championship and European 250cc Pairs events primarily taking place in the Czech Republic and one event in Poland. Three out of the four current top 250cc riders will be representing Great Britain, current British 250cc Champion Luke Harrison will lead the British Team in the Pairs events along with Max James who has come runner up to Harrison in the last two years of the British 250cc Youth Championship. There will be two Pairs events taking place over a six day period with the European 250cc Championship taking place in between those dates. The first Pairs event will take place in Czestochowa Poland on the 7th July where Harrison and James will be joined by Ashton Vale as part of a three team pairs event. On the 9th July fellow British 250cc rider William Cairns will join Harrison, James and Vale in Liberec in the Czech Republic in the Semi Finals for the European 250cc Individual Championship in the hope of qualifying for the Finals which also will be at the Liberec venue on the next day the 10th of July. After hopefully competing in the Final on the 10th, Harrison, James, and Cairns will head south to Pardubice also in the Czech Republic to compete in Round 2 of the European 250cc Pairs Championship which takes place on the 12th July. The third and final round of the 250cc Pairs will take place in Randers Denmark on the 6th August. Young Lions boss Neil Vatcher explained this is massive dedication by all four British riders and their families to compete in these events across Europe representing Great Britain, as at this level none of the riders get any financial reimbursement from the organisers therefore all self-funded. If any supporters of British Speedway would like to support the British Riders with cost towards their travel, tyres or fuel please contact Neil Vatcher by email at neil@scbgb.co.uk
  12. Never mind the stream let's hope the track is better for the youth round tomorrow
  13. In all fairness not really interested in the bickering another young rider hurt doing what he loves for our enjoyment. Not sure many who were there and seen the crash are been critical that meeting was called off i for one ain't bothered more concerned Joe is ok.
  14. Tom gave some fantastic advice to my lad last night discussing riding lines and showing him how to prepare his gate properly.
  15. No he been to busy ruining every other thread to notice
  16. Was a fantastic meeting with some really good racing score doesn't reflect how good it was
  17. Unfortunately people don't like facts in speedway they only like the agenda that suits them
  18. Did you get any times for the second half racing please
  19. Good post personally thought James was in the mix all night and think the experience of been in good positions before losing out can only benefit him. Think the criticism of Laurence is wrong as he was proven right on this occasion.
  20. Well that's the most sensible thing you have said
  21. No idea regarding bust ups but I do believe there is some sponsorship connection
  22. Henry quits both clubs according to his Facebook page
  23. Track was to slick mate seems a recurring theme when we lose at home. Fair play to Plymouth though looked a decent outfit
  24. Good win for Plymouth against a team that carried 3 riders last night . Didnt think the racing was up to much last night as scunny Dan said in his preview it was super slick which never leads to a great spectacle. Hope Dan gets well soon as he was very good as expected last . Anyway never mind the result it's only speedway.
