To explain Luke's national league average and how it is at the 7.7 level. During last season we used every national league meeting trying different stuff with set ups to learn what did and didn't work. It was never about winning it was about learning. We know that the bike used at scunny in the national league (which is not his championship bike) doesn't work at Sheffield. We know the scunny championship bike isn't great at Oxford but the national league bike is way better. The scunny championship bike goes well round Sheffield it was all a set process to help his development which we believe worked out looking back over the season. Even at scunny for national league we used different settings on the bike as both meetings were second half's of double headers and we know now have a good grasp of our equipment and what bikes do on different tracks hope this makes sense Ps his name is Luke not Harrison

Can't say I disagree but the league needs heat leaders and they are of limited numbers . Personally wouldn't say he's to good and do believe the additional meetings will help his progress.

Take it that a pop at us 😂

to cut out any speculation on the subject Luke was asked at the last meeting of this season if he wanted to return. We felt that a different track would of benefitted him in his progress with oxford ,Leicester or redcar being the preferred options sadly none could fit him in thus leaving him without a space. This was a family decision and was fully discussed with Simon and Rob at Scunthorpe who were both supportive of the decision.

Travel and riding for peanuts is part of it mate . As you know we ride at championship level and money ain't great and have got clubs offering places at the agreed rates for national league which is worse it's not full time for us as it don't pay the lad gets up and goes scaffolding everyday to earn enough to invest in machinery whether that's engines exhaust or limiters. At no point at this stage do we expect to earn enough through racing to cover its cost -

Agree it's difficult after youth series but then it's real and riders regardless of who they are have to follow the rules. As a sport it can't keep running to the lowest common denominator as that's not how things work . Progress doesn't stop that's why the sport went from two valve to four then laydowns it's all about the edge you can gain -

Would say a large percentage of the lads have it on the limit at the start and it's a god thing they are limited those who don't should aspire to as it's part of progression. Riders not wanting to progress is their issue but still need to follow the technical specifications. -

Don't get the debate about limiters and silencers it was put out in July this year and won't be needed till April next year surely any rider wanting to progress will of started to get the funds together already for this. And in reality lots of riders may not need exhaust as long as they are no older than 2022 on the point of limiters this has been on the back burner for years so isn't totally unexpected. rules are rules no point whining about it let's just go with it -

My take on this would be that Luke would have still progressed to the level he has taking 5 rides if teams were six man as he had the abilities. Jacob could well of progressed to a decent standard national league reserve given the chance to take his rides its all subjective though as its opinion based -

It's a good idea let's hope that if they run 6 man teams they give all riders 5 rides , no using one reserve 7 times and others only getting 3 rides. It's a development league and you don't develop being pulled out of your heats. there will be doom and gloom posters who think it's rubbish but with a lack of competitive riders at that level 10 plus teams can't run without separating the league. also can't wait for the it should be an upright league brigade to chip in. -
