So you were calling for him to be dropped and were slating the promotion for signing him as an asset, now he has been dropped you're cynical as he has found a different club for the rest of the season which means a loan fee? Should Kevin of sat at home and not raced anymore then? -

I'll have a look, got a few old ones knocking about somewhere Talking about yourself in the third person? The beginning of the end! We're not "totally blinkered" or "brainwashed" - we are realistic, we know we came close to losing speedway in the town and the Louis - love them or not - have kept it here. We all have differing opinions on what riders we should sign etc but some speedway is better than no speedway - a fact you've yet to acknowledge! -

It's not Klindt, it's Taylor Poole who is replacing Kevin Doolan Maybe Leigh will be on his way and Rasmus Jensen brought in for him? Would be an assessed 5pt ave I believe so would go in at reserve with his good mate Cam - I'd actually like to see them do something along those lines -

If you'd read my previous posts you'd of seen me say that Lanahm should be released, that was the final straw for me. -

It's not so much about what they may of learnt from doing some after meeting practise, it's more about showing the fans who had to endure that dross last week that they are at least trying to do something to address the situation, that they are putting in as much effort and time as they can and using every available oppourtunity to get some track time in a season fragmented by rained off meetings - not least of all because their team manager told them to! What would happen if a footballer refused to train against his managers wishes? He's be removed from the first team for a period of time. What would happen if I went against my managers at work request to do something? I'd be disciplined and asked to explain my actions. I can only assume Leigh, Dakota and Mat had reasons to not be present after the meeting last week as Pete has said that ALL riders were asked to go out, if they didn't have reasons then I hope they are punished by the club - the fans deserve a team of riders that are committed to the team as us fans are to supporting them. The riders got paid for their efforts last week, several hundred fans had to pay to "support" it, the least the riders can do is show us that they want to improve upon the situation. Even if it is just a token gesture of a few laps afterwards which doesn't really gain them anything, it's the very least the fans deserve to see - but I guess some riders couldn't even be bothered to do that. -

I agree that it may of been more for form than function for the most part - but even Lanham couldn't be bothered to do that, he can't practise starts, lines or setup's with his bikes in the back of his van and on his way home. Frankly I'm disgusted that he didn't go out - more so after learning that they were all told to - I could understand if he had scored double figures but 2 points from 4 rides is pathetic. -

Financial director now are we? Please break down where you got those figures from and where that money may of gone - I'm sure we'd all like to hear it! -

Whilst the former may be true I'm not so sure that there is no lack of time/effort being put in - especially in Lanhams case, he was the most notable absence from the track practise after last weeks defeat to scunthorpe despite Pete telling everyone to go out and practise. S.Nielsen who has just been released from Scunthorpe and looked very hungry last Wednesday? -

Well Lanham has to go, firstly his piece in the local paper probably isn't what most Witches fans want to hear - that he's not a number 1, he's not happy being at No.1 and once out of no.1 he won't be going back there. He also said that the Witches can drop him but it won't improve the situation. So lets break that down: He's not a No.1 - he would of known he would be riding at No.1 when he signed up for us so he should of taken a more posititve attitude knowing he would be riding there rather than keep moaning that "he wasn't signed as a No.1" and such, he's not a kid, he's a senior member of the team who has probably done more laps of Foxhall than the rest of the team combined - get a handle on being at No.1 rather than waiting to get out of there. He's not happy being at No.1 - As above, he knew he would be there, don't like it? Don't sign for us! Don't sign for us knowing you're starting at No.1 and then moan about it in the press! Once he's out of No.1 he won't be going back - Ok this I have a big issue with, Who rides at No.1 (and 6 & 7) is determined by averages - nothing else, so when he drops to 2, 3, 4 or 5 he should be happier to ride there, should improve his scores, what will this do? Increase his average and there is every chance he will end up back at No.1! So unless he's planning on plodding along in the 2 to 5 to keep his average down then I don't know what he's on about? If he is planning on doing that then he can leave right now quite frankly! Dropping him won't improve the situation - so is he saying there are problems elsewhere? Is he saying that on his average there is nobody better? I find both hard to believe quite frankly! After the shambles last night Pete Simmons told ALL riders to go out and practise as there was about 30 mins left before the curfew, who was there, lets have a look: Lanham. Nowhere to be seen, lives on the doorstep of the stadium, underperformed on the night then went home against his managers wishes - who is running the show here? The management or the riders? Tungate. Was present but didn't do any laps, imn his defense he was in heat 15 and rode reasonably well on the night Doolan. Was one of the first out, was disappointing to see him sulking on the centre green on his own after being dropped for his last ride - not much of a captains role model there - dones 6 laps or so then disappeared. Risager. Also one of the first out, done about the same amount of laps as Doolan but at least Morten rode quite well in the meeting. North. Nowhere to be seen, was unlucky in his first couple of rides when taken right to the fence - and I do mean right to it! Had he of laid it down it would of been the other rider being discludedfied. In saying that though he did seem to be riding a bit of a bucking bronco in his races, disappointed not to see him out there. Tress. Another no-show, top scorer for the Witches so maybe given a pardon for it? Heeps. First out there with Doolan and Risager, probably done the most amount of laps afterwards, rode well during the meeting and scored what you'd expect from him but still went out - maybe the experienced Lanham should look at the approach young Cameron takes to the sport? So Pete Simmons told ALL the riders to go out, how many did? 3 riding, 4 with Tungate also there. Tress may of been excused but I fail to see why North and Lanham weren't out there but at the end of the day "all" does mean all! All seven! I hope the riders who didn't go get a dressing down, management need to remind them who is pulling the strings! Taylor Poole was also out there and surely it's only a matter of time before he's back in the team? I know who I'd drop for him.....Lanham! -

Does anybody know if heat 15 counts towards the riders averages? If they do then last night would of been a good chance to help Leigh lower his average to move out of Number 1 by going out in heat 15 and coming last...... -

Sorry Baldyman, I was going by Aljack saying that you are also a "realist" like himself, I shouldn't of put you in the same class as that "fan" - that's not fair on anybody at all! My apologies for any offence caused etc I remember last season - once pushed for a name to replace Hart who was his target at the time - he came up with a suggestion to use Heeps for the rest of the season, totally ignoring the fact that Cameron was 15 at the time and too young to ride in the Premier League, since then I can't remember Aljack coming up with any suggestions aside from the recent "Monberg and a 3pt rider" yet he won't name this 3 pointer so his point about Monberg is kind of wasted. -

Attack the post not the poster? Anyway, I've criticised the promotion in the past when I've felt it was appropriate rather than for the sake of it like you do, but that's not the point. I asked a question and yet you've not answered it, instead you've tried to pigeonhole me. How about you answer the question? -

The trouble is Bruv (Hope I can call you that as your username is v long to type!) it's easier to moan and pick fault than it is to suggest workable solutions, I've had an idea about the riding order and I have put it to the promotion, what do we think Aljerk and Baldyman have done? Have they spoken to the promotion about their concerns and made suggestions? I'd wager that they haven't so really their opinions aren't all that valid if you ask me - it's like the old saying - put up or shut up! You may of answered your own question with Fisher - he's a bit wild (putting it mildly), maybe he was looked at and decided against in light of his erratic (dangerous) riding and not worth the risk should he come a cropper? Seb Alden, well again, maye he was looked at but Swindon are a Thursday night club if I remember correctly and I'd assume they had first dibs on him - so that rules him out. I'm only speculating that the club may of looked at either, for a more definitve answer you know what you need to do - speak to the only people that will know for sure, Chris, John or Simmo -

So, you both know what I'm going to ask, which rider on a 8.3 average could we of signed who wasn't already lined up for another PL clubs? Once again, there's a lot of slagging off of the team, there's a lot of deriding the riders you both claim to support, yet no names are mention for REALISTIC options, coming from a pair of "realists" I find it somewhat ironic...... -
Lioness I need to send you a message but your inbox is full I assume? Can you PM me an email address or something please? Jules

Surely it's only cheating if it breaks any rules of the sport? It may be "bad sportsmanship" or a "tactical choice" - some will see it as a smart move for the team in the circumstances, some will say it has no place in the sport, but unless it breaks any rules then it's not cheating so calling young Lewis a "cheat" when he's broken no rules is out of order.

I'd say that we did get special dispensation as we lost two riders on the same night so were tasked with filling both places within a month, one rider would of been achievable but a second would of been a bit of a big ask so probably were allowed a slightly longer R/R function than a month. Just speculation / common sense thinking on my part thoough, I need a lie down! -

Two got their chance last year, one took it more than the other and can consider himself unlucky not to be included this year, infact I expect if we didn't have the potent reserves we have for 2012 then I would fully imagine him to be back wearing the Witch. We still have Joe Jacobs when he is ready for the step up so it's not as if Ipswich are as anti-Brit as people seem to be niggling at. Finishing 3rd and winning the PL4's isn't really what I'd call choking, remind me, where did KL finish this year and what did they win? Choke choke choke! Glug glug glug! -

I think we can pencil in Tress, Risager and Poole - leaving the final place, for me there are two candidates: Dakota North, recently tweeted that he will announce who he's riding for on Friday 9th, the same day as the Witches announce their lineup. He has also said he's joining his favourite track - he scored a paid 21pt max at Foxhall earlier in 2011..... Rasmus Jensen, Chris Louis has said he's wanting to increase the Ipswich asset base with young exciting riders and has previously been very impressed with the Danish youth system. Rasmus is 18 and finished the Danish U21 championships in a very respectable 3rd place. He is also friends with Taylor Poole and I believe he is currently staying with the Heeps family in Australia this winter along with Joe Jacobs. Could be either! -

I'm still saying Rasmus Jensen Schramm has posted onhis Facebook that he is still inthe process of recovering from his back injury and getting back to fitness and as yet doesn't have a team place for 2012 so can't imagine he's in Ipswich's plans for 2012 if they are announcing the team in a few days.
