  1. and one of those that broke those rules was a former Witches rider!
  2. Two got their chance last year, one took it more than the other and can consider himself unlucky not to be included this year, infact I expect if we didn't have the potent reserves we have for 2012 then I would fully imagine him to be back wearing the Witch. We still have Joe Jacobs when he is ready for the step up so it's not as if Ipswich are as anti-Brit as people seem to be niggling at. Finishing 3rd and winning the PL4's isn't really what I'd call choking, remind me, where did KL finish this year and what did they win? Choke choke choke! Glug glug glug!
  3. Official, Ipswich Witches 2012: Kevin Doolan Dakota North Morten Risager Taylor Poole Mat Tresarrieu Rohan Tungate Cameron Heeps
  4. I think we can pencil in Tress, Risager and Poole - leaving the final place, for me there are two candidates: Dakota North, recently tweeted that he will announce who he's riding for on Friday 9th, the same day as the Witches announce their lineup. He has also said he's joining his favourite track - he scored a paid 21pt max at Foxhall earlier in 2011..... Rasmus Jensen, Chris Louis has said he's wanting to increase the Ipswich asset base with young exciting riders and has previously been very impressed with the Danish youth system. Rasmus is 18 and finished the Danish U21 championships in a very respectable 3rd place. He is also friends with Taylor Poole and I believe he is currently staying with the Heeps family in Australia this winter along with Joe Jacobs. Could be either!
  5. I'm still saying Rasmus Jensen Schramm has posted onhis Facebook that he is still inthe process of recovering from his back injury and getting back to fitness and as yet doesn't have a team place for 2012 so can't imagine he's in Ipswich's plans for 2012 if they are announcing the team in a few days.
  6. Just can't resist trolling can you? Moaning about a team that only has 3 confirmed riders so far - one of which you spent the majority of last season drooling over!! Pathetic
  7. When Bloomy said about it being a dangerous game to wait until January I think maybe Mr S took it to mean in relation to the tragic Rhys Loram incident, I think Bloomy was making reference to a certain rider who has been rumoured to be on Ipswich's radar who may, or may not, be available come early next year - if he is in the plans for Ipswich then I hope they have a backup plan just incase
  8. As mentioned by Trebor a few posts ago, the team I'd like is: Bjerre Doolan Risager Poole North (or Sedgman) Tungate Heeps Aussie Witches (+2), lots of room for improvement in Poole, North / Sedgman, Risager and Doolan - then there's those reserves! If one makes a good start, let's say Tungate for arguements sake, then you could have North or Poole at reserve - if they both start well then you could have both Poole and North at 6 & 7! With the start the promotion have made to the 2012 team - they've gone for key reserves, this is very wise as so often meetings are won or lost at reserve. So far so good!
  9. You mean like several "rain" offs when there is a bit of drizzle on the track and don't even bother to try and prepare it? We've all seen the pictures!
  10. I really hope the 2012 team is a good mixture of exciting youth and consistant experience, one or two more asset signings wouldn't go a miss - maybe young Mr Poole? I'm still unsure if Lasse will want full time EL, if he doesn't (or wants to D/U) then he should be one of the first names on the team sheet, it's easy to forget his age is still only 18 so maybe another season in the PL might be just what he needs? I'd really like to see the team I mentioned earlier in thsi thread but of course depending on the AGM it's purely speculation / fantasy speedway at this point in time! Kevin Doolan Morten Risager Taylor Poole Lasse Bjerre / Sam Masters Nick Morris Rohan Tungate Cameron Heeps Kevin and Morten to be the "experience" in the line up (although Morten is still only 24!) and as the remaining five are all young and exciting prospects this would lead to some exciting racing and hopefully see Ipswich there or there abouts come a years time (barring injuries etc) Keeping my fingers crossed for the team news but rest assured I'll fully support whoever has the Witch emblazoned upon their chest........regardless of what league we compete in!
  11. Chris Louis has said publicly that the drop to the PL was to ensure the clubs future and to provide the promotion with a chance to rebuild their asset base - it's quite obvious from those statements that the drop to the PL had to be done immediately but also they don't intend to stay there and want to rebuild the club. It's not a great secret! If Aljerk has issues with those decisions then may I suggest he "votes with his feet" and stays away from Foxhall - it'd be doing the rest of us a favour! He enjoys his racing the Mildenhall much more, so keep going there, and as such a fan of the "Elite" league then why not make a trip to the Norfol Arena or the Thurrock Raceway to get your fix? I personally can see Ipswich looking to make the move back "up" to the EL but not in it's current guise, I think they will wait as long as it takes to be in such a postition to make the move viable and sustainable whilst being competitive - if it can't be all three of those then moving up (to please a small minority) would be the death of the club - which is why I doubt it'll happen anytime soon.
  12. Indeed, as promoters have much more to lose than one rider if they dig their heels in and it does go further - ironically it seems that those clubs with more "assets" have the most to lose and those with fewer / none have more to gain, for this example I'll use Poole and Belle Vue as they're probably at the extreme ends of the spectrum: Belle Vue have minimal assets, but for arguments sake lets say one of their few assets wants to move to another club who has made him an offer, the rider wants to go but BV don't want him to - nothing entirely unusual so far - but this time the two clubs can't come to an agreement, the BSPA have tried to mediate but it's not helped. The only options are now that the situation stays as it is, or, the rider takes it through the legal system. This blows the asset system out off the water, the rider gets his move, his new club gets their man, the old club gets nothing So far nothing really surprising, but now any future moves between riders will now reward the "parent" club with nothing when losing a rider, Poole have many many assets an must get handsome loan fees for the ones they can't/don't use - this money will stop, the transfer fees they've paid in the first place is now money totally lost, the clubs with a low asset base who have spent a minimal amount on initial outlays and therefor get little in terms of loan fees are now the clubs with the least to lose. Is this situation right? Legally? Yes. Morally? No So will this situation ever occur? In my opinion, no. When it gets to the BSPA mediation stage they (the BSPA) will do whatever it takes to stop it going further, I expect the threat of pulling a promotions licence would be issued should they not play ball. So yes it could happen in theory, but in practise it never will.
  13. Not sure that he said you would recieve nothing, more that from a legal employment standpoint it could happen - but as we all know - it won't! There is a big difference between "shall" and "could" I'm agreeing with Mr S on this one, nothing will change and transfer / loan fee's will still be paid, but legally they don't have to - all it will take is one disgruntled rider to take it to the courts and it's all going to hit the fan!
  14. That team looks awfully familiar wouldn't you say 2ndBendBeerhut? How about, oh I dunno, Sam Masters to take the remaining team place? Now THAT would make me a very happy Jules!
  15. Another poor effort, I really don't know why he tries so hard to be "random" - his tweets are very good for inside info, the whole "wacky" thing he does smacks of trying to hard to be noticed imo
  16. And so he doesn't show Kenny up on the same night Lasse will be the better rider I believe
  17. I can't see Lasse staying at Ipswich, I think he'll be joining Kenny wherever he may go for full time EL riding
  18. I'd like to see us go for Justin Sedgman, he will have a very low average after a poor season and he's a much much better rider then his PL average would suggest, so much room for improvement in him in 2012 that whoever gets him has a potential trump card - I'd like it to be us to go with "our" other Aussies of Doolan, Poole and Heeps (plus hopefully Masters!)
  19. 1. Kevin Doolan 2. Mathieu Tresarrieu 3. Morten Risager 4. Taylor Poole 5. Lasse Bjerre / Jordan Frampton 6. Cameron Heeps 7. Lewis Kerr
  20. Surely it's more can the Kings Lynn public afford to pay to watch EL and PL at the same venue in the same season to keep it sustainable in both leagues?
  21. Maybe the world No.6 one week, the No.14 the week after, No.8 and 17 the week after and ending the month with the world No.7!! Wow! Sky must be drooling at such "eliteness"! That'll bring the crowds in - as you all witnessed last season surely?!
  22. Famously owned by P'boro after his (forced?) transfer from Swindon a couple of seasons ago went to tribunal etc Point him, Baby Bjerre and Roynon south on the A140 and give em a good shove!
