  1. A track should be (safely) ride-able by all straight out of the box, yes there is such a thing as home track advantage but this is mainly down to knowledge of the best lines to ride and such, not by having a track surface prepared so one team can stay upright and the visitors can't. That is what would be considered dangerous and it's no surprise the track work was ordered before somebody got hurt. Safety has to come first.
  2. The amount of falls in the opening heats suggests the work wasn't what you'd call "good"
  3. Nope, I took Zengota-2 > Woodward aswell as the Lakeside -8 > P'boro I also had a £10 charity bet going with KKS on the Zengota/Woodward one, I took Zengota, he took Woodward and I gave him the draw, the loser had to pay £10 to the winners charity of choice. He backed out at the last minute. Coward.
  4. Just gone for Lakeside -8 > P'boro tonight, the Coventry v Eastbourne match has far too many variable rider performances for me.
  5. I'm not sure even industrial cleaning would rescue them, they need burning and replacing I reckon - was certainly a scary moment for him!
  6. If he keeps it up he'll be challenging for the No.1 race jacket at Brandon!
  7. He knew he'd only get 0,0,1,0 if he rode this afternoon so has bottled it, the phrase "Only as good as your last meeting" must of been going through his head.
  8. You're welcome, I also had Poole-11 (and a little double on both) which looked shaky at first given how well Doolan and North were going at reserve for Eastbourne to begin with but came through in the end. Tonight's return fixture at Swindon could be interesting, will wait and see how the bookies price it. Oh and for the SGP at the weekend - Emil (8/1) will be there or there abouts, has great form there from the past seasons and is flying right now. Hancock might also be worth a few quid each way as he's long(ish) odds due to poor recent SGP form (14/1 on Bet365, 7/1 on Skybet!) and Zagar seems good value each way at 25/1 (18/1 on B365!). EDIT: Gone for a little on KL+13 > Swindon tonight (Would of gone more is Stead was riding) and Schlein+1 > Batchelor as Schlein will get an extra ride as R/R for Mads and should also get heat 15 where as Troy may not.
  9. KL-12 tonight over Swindon should be nailed on with no Hans or facility for him. Lewis Blackbird takes his place....
  10. 2/2 for the night for me P'boro are so poor, surely changes are afoot? H000ugaard and Norbert to go?
  11. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I agree with JackAljack!! I'm off for a large drink in a dark room!
  12. P'boro v BV tonight could see an away win in my opinion, B365 are offering BV+6 (21/20) and Bet Victor are BV+9 (5/6) I've gone for the +9 and also a little on an outright away win from scratch You pays your money...
  13. Minga you seem to of misspelt my name? But OK, see below. And another one? It's all so easy on fishing friday! Anyway, you want facts? Ok Workington v Edinburgh 13/10/2012 1. Richard Lawson - 2 , 3 , T/X , 3 , 1' = 9+1 1. Craig Cook - T/JT , 3 , 3 , 1 , 3 = 10 Fancy another? Ok then: Workington v Edinburgh 12/05/2012 3. Richard Lawson 3,3,0,3,2 = 11 1. Craig Cook 2,4!,3,2',3 = 14+1 I'll leave those with you Minga and Kristina
  14. To be fair, it was Ipswich that done the overtaking in the majority, can't help it if your boys couldn't muster it and are gate-and-go tarts!
  15. You must be like a pig in sheet this season then! To be fair Lawson does have the higher PL average, although his performance around Foxhall compared to Cook are a mile apart. Tonight Cook is a better rider than Lawson.
  16. Candy from a baby, only let down by the Schlein/Holder one which couldn't of been much closer. All this talk of not betting on head-to-head, surely the Doyle > Bridger from scratch was absolutely nailed on? There was no reason at all not to take that one!
  17. You know it's a KO cup meeting don't you? All this talk of Rene sending us BACH to the bottom, and bringing the point BACH are really wasted on this meeting, try again in the league version as it might be more relevant then!
  18. Kings Lynn -4 Schlein +3 > Holder Doyle > Bridger Are mine for tonight (so far!)
  19. Let me just check the EL table to see where P'boro are........oh thank the lord for Coventry eh?
  20. I dunno, you've come up with some absolute gems in your time in your former guise!
  21. I did tweet them my displeasure and say that I'd be going to B365, clearly it was because of that tweet! lol
