  1. Geez, Trees, I hope you're not suggesting we attempt to subvert the Democratic process? More than once a day?
  2. Couple of Press Releases today re the Sydney Leg of the Ozchamps: http://www.speedway.net.au/release.asp?NewsId=21068 http://www.speedway.net.au/release.asp?NewsId=21067 Spoke to a very nice young lady from Power Promotions re the Goings on in Sydney at the Showgrounds today; She was very impressed with Chris Holder and Jason Doyle pulling Wheelies all over the place - "and they're only 19". I'll have to show her what an old fart can get up to when I get down there - as soon as I drop a new donk in the Zimmer Frame.
  3. I bumped into Vic at Lonigo this year: he's just round the corner as it were from Geoff "Pinky" Penniket, sees him regularly. You might try chasing Vic up through the W(V)SRA, I'm sure he'd be the man to talk to, just don't ask to hear his "Aussie" accent!
  4. Tickets now on sale for Sydney January 5th. Email: info@supercrossmasters.com.au See you there.
  5. Any news of Watto? Looks like a pretty good field so far. Lets hope yer a better announcer than the Wally they had at Wimborne Road for Tony R's Farewell. Tosser would be too polite.
  6. More Brothers.... From AMCN re the Long Track Championships yesterday: # There are 15 sets of brothers among the competitors – some of whom will compete against each other in the same class. In the long track slider class there are 3 sets of brothers.
  7. Did you make it to the meeting? interested to find out if Chris Holder is continuing his good run, also Darren Cafe in the sidecars.
  8. No Double Booking Timbo, that's the word from Rod Colquhoun, Power Productions General Manager . . on the other hand we now have Friday at the Showground watching Crumpie, Saturday arvo burying the Poms at the SCG and Saturday night at Parramatta City Raceway watching the Sprinters! Doesn't get much better than this, every cloud, etc etc.
  9. Careful what you wish for, Brian..........
  10. I've just spent 7 hours on the phone and net swapping bookings etc. This little jaunt is now gunna cost me about $1000 over what I'd originally planned, plus I'll be in Sydney for the last Test - great - fullapoms! I love it when a plan comes together - NOT! Actually I was surprised at how helpful everyone was (Except Jetstar - Ozzie answer to Ryanair)(Took me half-an-hour to put the Phone back together - I felt like Russell Crowe). Timbo, Jancarz, Lunchie I'm hard to miss, coming from Darwin I'll probably be the one in the Overcoat and Thongs with the Suck More Piss T-shirt underneath - I'll shout yers a Crownie if I spot ya. Remember, into each life some rain must fall, and Wet Season's coming right up!
  11. Tell me about it Timbo, I've gotta redo all my F****** flights and accommodation - great. Sir Lunchalot, does this mean you'll make Mt Gambier?
  12. I stand corrected, thanks. He certainly set 'em alight in Denmark.
  13. 1st Chris Holder 2nd Lee Herne 3rd Jason Doyle
  14. G'day Spanner, and how the heckareya? Point I was trying to make was - if you want all the little dramas taken out of your trip then an organised tour is the way to go for sure. I've used TPtours a couple of times now as an adjunct to my own disorganised tours of Europe and believe me it makes a nice change from my usual daily litany of close calls, disasters and unpleasant surprises etc. Its not easy travelling solo around the world and just occasionally its nice to have someone watching your back (and your luggage). That said I'm off for two weeks in January following the Oz Championships around our vast brown land on a budget and the logistical nightmare is still not quite sorted, more hours on the Internet I'm afraid, with no goofing off looking up horizontal Folk-dancing. Things we do for a sniff of Shale & Methanol! (My nearest Solo Speedway would be Adelaide - about 3000Km.) Regards, BFD.
  15. I did Lonigo this year with the boys (and girls) from TPTours and can't praise them highly enough - met some lovely people even if they weren't Australian, good Hotel, marvellous resort town of Garda on the Lake where I managed to find a bar with a big Telly to show the Bledisloe Cup on the Saturday morning. (that's the Wallabies v the All Blacks for all you non-cognescenti) and excellent transfer to & from Lonigo. More drama getting a beer in Lonigo than anywhere else. It may cost a little more going on an "Organised (sic) Tour" but it takes all the drama out of it. Oh, and Ryan Air didn't go belly-up on us which is a bonus!! Get onto James, Bryan or the lovely Clare with my whole-hearted recommendations. Best of all, CRUMPY WON!! (on one leg!) Oh, if any of youse mob are coming out to Oz this January, give me a shout and I'll show you how to order me a beer. Or two.
  16. I for one enjoyed Steady at the 2006 Oz Champs, when he seemed to either win, blow up or Kummagutza!! Looking forward to seeing him again this year; I don't think he got a square deal at the SWC but that's probably due to your idiot Pommy Team Manager with his head up his backside as usual, same with Bomber. (raw deal not cranium up clacker). Certainly you can't just keep relying on Scotty, Mark seems to have given SGP away (Shame) and Richo this year was a waste of space. Best bet would be to give young Tai W. Pommy Citizenship!
  17. Only List I've seen so far is as below plus of course Scotty N. Jason Crump (NSW) Simon Stead (ENG) Todd Wiltshire (NSW) Steven Johnston (WA) Chris Holder (NSW) Travis McGowan (VIC) Rory Schlein (WA) Davey Watt (QLD) Interesting to see Rooboy is claimed by WA this year, (SA last year), everyone knows he's a Territory Boy. Regards, and see you there, BigFatDave from Darwin!!
