07 Aussie U 21 Titles Line Ups Announced

Qualifying Round this Friday, changes to the riders: Jake Anderson, Brock Gates, Ryan Sedgmen, Michael Stoneham (Vic), David Armstrong, Tom Armstrong, James Holder, Elliot Myers, Richard Sweetman and Rick Wallace (NSW), Ashley Cathcart, Mitchell Davey, Josh Grajczonek, John Oliver (Qld), Arlo Bugeja (SA), Carley Gittus (WA). Ricky Barney is out, replaced by John Oliver. Last Solo Meeting of the year at Gillman, is anyone going? i know this looks a bit like a Chris Holder benefit - he is a long way the best rider there - but Gillman's a great track with plenty of room for racing if you're good enough, so who knows? My money's on Tom Hedley and Cory Gathercole for the minor placings, and on Cory for " best-looking supporters". Incidentally, sitting behind Cory's mum at Mildura for the Ozchamps my heart went out to her when Cory "Cummagutza" on turn 1, although I think she'd seen it before! Who'd be a Speedway Mum? (Not me for sure, I couldn't Bear children, I'm Impregnable so its Inconceivable!) -

Jason Lyons Dinner & Testimonial
BigFatDave replied to BigFatDave's topic in International World of Speedway
Is that young Ryan Sedgeman, Lunchy? He's really playing with the big kids now! Best of luck to him, isn't he going over to Denmark this year? I bet they'll be fitting people in with a shoehorn again at Olympic Park, Jason is a local legend so I'm sure there'll be a huge turnout, love to be there. Regards, Jealous-as-Hell, Darwin. -
6 Riders In The Swc Teams
BigFatDave replied to treborbee's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I thought the rules already allowed for tactical sustitutions, seem to remember Nicholls having an extra ride at Reading last year, although I was seeing double(s) at one stage of the evening. -
Only a flesh wound?

Stolen quote from another topic I know, but this sounds like a huge weekend, I thought it deserved its own thread. Do we have a full entry list yet, Lunchy? Any Interstate visitors booked your Loungeroom floor out yet? Are the Usual Suspects driving over from Perth again, Ozy? I'll be with you in spirit(s) on Turn 1.

Lunch, Dinner and everything in between and he STILL weighs less than an oily rag! GRRRR!

Congratulations to all concerned, sounds like you had a fun night!!

Checking the respective Radars I'd say its a wet one coming up, boys! Re Ashley Jones: no I've heard nothing since seeing youse mob - as you say its a bit crowded & with the weather not helping..... Look on the bright side....oh, there is no bright side - OOOOOPS! My Shout.

There's a bit of depth in our Juniors lately, good programs starting up or running well in most States, I did hear that 6 riders would be heading your way, can't confirm, I was half-potted at the time!. Hey Bryn, how did Mick Poole's lad Taylor go? He's got a Mullet to die for!
-
Fingers Firmly Crossed, Lunchy! Hopefully its put the Fires out. All on track for the Ashley Jones Re-run?
-
Nice drop of weather down your way yesterday, Rod? Should take care of the Dust. The Todd is flowing, we're cut off!

Crumps back wheel clipping the fence as he tipped it in will live with me for a while. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yer not wrong there, mate! There was a definite line there but, Gollob would've found it, or Tricky at Cardiff, say! Lucky there was a bit of dirt on the Boards! Enjoy Gillman this weekend, should be a ripper, as you say Rooboy'll be unbackable. I'll send you a rude TXT - have a beer or two for me ( did I leave any there?)

As Crumpy found out! Don't think Leigh wanted to let him past. -
Just working on the (BBBBUUURRRRRPPPPP) Legend, Rod!

G'is a minute Oz! Only got back yesterday, my brain's still somewhere between here & Alice Springs and I've gotta go see the Quack about this nasty rash I've picked up somewhere along the line. (And she seemed such a nice girl!) Sorry to say you missed a ripper series; outstanding performances by the top 6 Aussies plus the Two To-'n-Froms; the Weirdest first corner you'll ever see (at Sydderney, where you had a virtual 90 degree lefthander at the end of the start straight, 60mph to 20mph in 1 second), Gillman the best night's racing I've seen in Yonks and Mt Gambier a fitting finish. Tom Hedley and Cory Gathercole definite names for the future. I'll try and do a "What I did on my Holidays" later!!

Just got back to Darwin - hot 'n sweaty already! The Adelaide Advertiser had a little article on Johnno today - He's up on assault charges for snotting someone allegedly in the Glenelg Hotel - evil places those S.A. Pubs! http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0...99-2682,00.html As for me - Cricket's on, Beers in the Fridge and the Dog has got me pinned to the floor - could be walkies when the rain stops!

Bydgoszcz Flights?
BigFatDave replied to fatface's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
1. Obviously an Anagram - the tiny Hamlet of Errangudogh, in Eastern Silesia. 2. Toontown, on the banks of the Tyne. 3. A reference to Harold Fartermeyer who wrote the theme music, no doubt born in another obscure Hamlet in Eastern Silesia 4. Darwin's not in Europe Silly! How'd I Go? Musta bin close? Not even Bin Laden? Still, Newcastle, Eastern Silesia and Darwin has that ring about it. -
