Go ROOBOY!! Be good to see Johnno up there as well!

We'll have to agree to disagree then Diesel, 'cos that's the way I read it.

Maybe the Keyboard Commandos should take notice of your quote , Doc, and think before slagging off people out of hand, especially on a subject they know nothing about. Here's a quote for them from Bob Dylan - "don't criticize what you can't understand"

Couldn't agree more. PS Main problem I experienced was Buses not running on Darwin Time.

Who's Coming To The Promised Land?
BigFatDave replied to BigFatDave's topic in International World of Speedway
I've heard a vicious rumour that some of youse Pomgpolians coming Down Under for the OzChamps are planning to stay over, and even take out Citizenship. Here's a simple questionnaire to see if yer good enough! http://www.jokes.org.au/australian-citizenship/ NB Any single Sheilas aged 16 - 25, if yer need any help with the answers give us a yell! -

Chris Holder First Oz Title Entry

A certain World Champ is attributing his current sus form in SGP's to coming out here last Northern Winter: WDF! We had great racing and all his Aussie fans got to see him and Leigh together in several ripper races. While it did make for a long year it was obviously something he wanted to do and maybe felt he owed his fans - certainly he was always available for press, radio & TV plus advice for and photos with the Juniors as and when required and his presence assured bumper crowds for all meetings. I can understand if he doesn't want to repeat the trek - equally I can understand riders like Bomber Harris, Hans Anderson, Andreas Johnnson and maybe even Nicki P. looking at venturing Down Under this year as a working holiday! -

Rumours of my involvement in the blowing up of the Bamiyan Buddhas are grossly exaggerated. Besides could you see me as part of any movement that denigrates Sheilas? I've always been one to put 'em on a Pedestal (So's I could peek up their skirts!) -

Odds on they'll have more than enough entrants for a qualifier, the standard of Aussie Juniors has gone through the roof in the past coupla years. Lets face it, if all the Aussies in Europe came back for it they'd have to have a Qualifying Series! Be good to see "Is 'E an Aussie Is 'E Lizzie?" Tai Woffenden out here. All together now..... Is he an Aussie, is he Lizzy Is he an Aussie, is he eh? Is it because he is an Aussie That he makes you dizzy, Lizzy. Is it because his ways are jazzy That he makes you fuzzy-wuzzy? Got you dizzy, aint he Lizzy? Is he an Aussie, is he eh? Any news from the West, Ozyace? Will the Tuckertime Troupe be over with a Vengeance? Maybe we should have a Seniors Section too? -

Nothing about a qualifying meeting on the usual sites - I've emailed some folks but no reply so far. Tricky with the first round at Mildura being so close to Xmas - the 29th - meeting would probably have to be well before - Gillman's got a meeting on the 15th so the next weekend is free, other tracks would be too far away, unless they had it on the 27th in Mildura it could pose problems, as there's a Cocktail Party to meet & greet on the 28th. Never bin to a cocktail party before - they'll probably have a cocktail glass stubby holder made up for the occasion, and I'll be drinkin' Crown Lager thru a straw. Must remember to hoist me pinky! Any idea what Bryn's idea of a cocktail is - Bundy & Coke with an olive and a lickul placcy umbrella perhaps? Hey Trackman, are you venturing South? -

Who's Coming To The Promised Land?

Sounds a bit like a road trip Lunchy, just like me old Hippy Daze on the Magic Bus to Afghanistan & all points beyond!! - reminds me of the time when roving or should that be raving reporter Raoul Duke and his attorney, Dr. Gonzo drove to Las Vegas to cover the 1971 Mint 400 motorcycle race for Sports Illustrated magazine. However, the race was merely an excuse for the duo to abuse their expense account and indulge in a galaxy of drugs. What was initially a simple journey to cover a motorcycle race mutated into a bizarre search for the American Dream. "We had two bags of grass, seventy- five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi- colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. And I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon." Raoul Duke What should I bring? PS I've attempted to email you - please let me know if you've got it! http://www.searchles.com/links/show/youtub...lated&search%3D PPS This year Uluru is going out at a bargain basement price, Lunchy, but for you, I'll double it!! -

Sounds like a horde of youse, Rita! Here's a coupla tips - 1/. Be extremely wary of any charlatan trying to sell large Australian souvenirs, such as the Sydney Opera House, Uluru or the Great Barrier Reef - I happen to be the legitimate owner of these sites and will be able to provide you with a much better deal. 2/. Please ignore any vicious slanders about my drinkin' habits or other proclivities from so-called friends of mine such as Lunchy & Spiderweb; they're much worse than me, Honest!! By the way, have you ever played Crown & Anchor? -

Anyone want to learn how to play Two-Up?

Dear Disgruntled, Don't despair, don't give up hope! I'm sure Team GB will rise again one day; maybe not in my lifetime fer sure, but someday.....? Maybe we could travel back to the Halcyon days of the late 60's - early 70's, when Team GB comprised such fine sons of Ye Ol' Dart as Barry Briggs, Ivan Mauger and Jim Airey? Regards, Discombobulated of Darwin.

So what you're saying is that the CMO was corrupt? Any proof of that? Or just the Grapes of Yeucchhh! -
After this year Anywhere but Vojens! Isn't Sweden due to host a World Cup soon?
-
Well TS I'm sure a fair few will disagree with ya. In the modern era both Oz & the US of A have won with only 4 or five riders of World Class and along with Poland Denmark & Sweden they've all won away from home. GB haven't won in Donkeys and with the present system in place they won't. No Poms in the Under-16's again - no effective Junior program means no kids coming through with enough experience to begin with.

No Wuckin' Furries Steve, I'll take yer word for it. (Omigod what have I said???)

So the Face got the Doc. to withdraw Noddy? There's a few worried Aussies who haven't the benefit of a live feed who'd like to know how Noddy is; they could do without conjecture and ill-informed comments.
