  1. Doyle was looked at but Pawlicki has been in the plans for some time and had there of been a problem getting Tai to sign then the team would have been built with three decent riders with Ty and Jacob as second strings. Luckily Tai made it clear from day one of being World Champion that he wanted to stay at Wolverhampton in 2014 as he has good friends and family here and loyal sponsors that have been with him for some time. Tai would have also been likely to have suggested Piotr or talked to him about riding here as he sspeaks pretty good polish.
  2. Dudek is not interested in riding over here and has enough meetings booked to keep him busy and would not be able to fit in fixtures in Britain. Shamek will be a good signing and is better than other riders on roughly the same average or even higher. As for Nicolai he is a gamble but he is based in Britain and has a child now and still has the desire to be much better than he currently is. It is questionable as to how much he can improve as he hasn't got the bottle of others but he can be as quick as anyone on his day and will be good for his average.
  3. Darcy Ward Shamek Pawlicki Maciej Janowski Good top three that will hold their own against any team Josh Gracjzonek Nicolai Klindt Should both score points in the lower races and a few more. How ironic Poole have finally got him after losing out on him in the first place and sign him just when Wolverhampton have signed Piotr Pawlicki who Poole were chasing after ! Should be play off contenders but be warned about Nicolai as he can be very frustrating. Brilliant one minute but terrible the next and panics going into the bends.
  4. Yes he will be a Wolverhampton asset as he has never done enough meetings before and only signed a short term contract. Now he is here for the foreseeable future As Wolverhampton own both riders it will mean Workington will have to find replacements and not Wolves
  5. His brother will be at Poole so the meetings with the pirates will be interesting. Good signing and a young team that will improve. Don't write them off yet.
  6. All teams have good and bad sides to them but it is the team that finishes the season strong that counts. Belle Vue look the best team in my opinion and if the fifth rider can get a few points they should be hard to beat as should Eastbourne and Lakeside. The new format may however suit a top heavy team that has reasonable second strings and the two obvious ones in that category are Kings Lynn and Poole and both have at least one very good reserve. Leicester may not have the big hitting number one but they are signing a top five that can all score just as Birmingham are doing. Swindon have to be completed but they have a good young team with two good heat leaders. Wolves look to be one of the weakest teams despite having the world champion but they will be the youngest team on show and have potential in all riders and a highly sought after new rider. If I had to nominate the top two now I would go with Belle Vue and Poole
  7. The last two will be announced soon as the last place could only be confirmed once Tai Woffinden had signed. There should be four of last year's team returning along with the two reserves and the new signing who will be the second heat leader despite being one of the younger riders in the league and riding in his first full season in Britain.
  8. They would be wise to sign someone with experience and with Adam Skornicki looking to be left out at Wolverhampton and Simon Gustafsson out at Eastbourne, those two would give Brummies a good line up where all can score points
  9. Just think of how many go through the turnstiles if Tai doesn't sign ! Wolves and British Speedway need Tai in the league and the BSPA should be backing any deal to ensure that the World Champion is riding here for the good of the sport in Britain. Wroclaw presented Tai with a cheque for winning the title. Surely British Speedway should do something like that. No doubt Wolves will be paying good money already but a reward from the BSPA should be enough to secure his services here which will benefit all clubs.
  10. What is Pawlicki's average as the last one I can see is 6.95. Has he ridden since then or is it recalculated due to the rolling averages ? I understand assessed averages were changed and Piotr Pawlicki was given a stupid 7+ average but that got lowered. Was it to 6.00 or 6.50 ? Whichever way, it will be good to see two young and exciting riders riding over here while others turn their backs on British Speedway
  11. Pawlicki on a 6.50 would make him the second heat leader and it is more likely that Ricky Wells would fit the last place depending on Tai coming back from his skiing holiday thinking about the people that have been there for him so far and puts pen to paper and signs up. No doubt Tai is getting a team together that helps him arrange things in what will be a very busy season ahead but he has good sponsors and fans at Wolves and he does want to ride for Wolves so a deal should be sorted out.
  12. There could be two polish riders at Wolverhampton next year. Both of different ages !
  13. He could miss meetings through injury and it is the clubs assets that get priority so Cook may miss meetings due to a clash of fixtures as he isn't a Belle Vue asset. Brave to go with a three point rider in the main body of the team but with two easier races each meeting they can still score a few points but the main points will be down to a full list of the top four not missing a match or two
  14. Could Poole be about to do some magic and sign two very good young Polish riders to back up Darcy ? Shame KK couldn't be back but Leicester may still be in for him
  15. The year he nearly joined Wolverhampton was the season before and it was only down to the Hagon sponsorship that made him stay atEEastbourne and went on to average over 7 that season. Had he of made the switch then I think he would have stayed a part of the Wolves set up still. There are a number of riders that could do a good job in the Elite League like Michael Jepsen Jensen, Janusz Kolodiej, Martin Vaculik and the Pawlicki brothers but most don't want the infrequent fixture list but maybe one or two may have a change of mind next season ?
  16. Magic should be back and he could be bringing over a friend or two that will be at two different tracks
  17. Tai is now enjoying a skiing holiday but when he gets back I think Wolverhampton will have him signed up and announce the full team including a suprise signing
  18. Tai will be back in the team soon don't worry. Peter Ljung has made it clear he would be interested in riding over here and on 5.60 he would be a bargain and along with Skornicki he will add some experience for Jacob and the reserves. May not be the best line up but it has potential and difficult to beat.
  19. Wolverhampton have missed out on a regular scorer in Doyle but the fact he is doubling up may have been too much of a risk for CVS and may well be going down the line of riders he can trust like Skornicki. Not sure Wells will be back but they have over six points left if they get Tai and Adam
  20. Well Done to Leicester on the signing of Jason Doyle who was wanted by a couple of teams and it certainly looked like Wolverhampton had won the race to sign him. If Leicester get KK as expected then that is a decent start to a team and with another seven point rider they could build a strong team.
  21. Maybe because a number of clubs are sorted and some are unlikely to fit him in. With Wolves they are looking for a rider to back up Tai Woffinden and the other candidates are now signed up elsewhere so Wolverhampton looks like the most likely destination for Doyle. Good signing by CVS if he completes the deal and the only question is who will fit into the final place ?
  22. Jason Doyle and Kevin Wolbert would fit but Wolves stay loyal and they were very pleased with Ludvig in 2013 and it wouldn't be a surprise to keep the Lindgren name in the team just as has been with the Karlsson's in the past. There are some very good looking teams being formed so far but the reserves are going to be vital in all matches and Kings Lynn with Iversen, Mads, Rory and Porsing still leaves over 5 for Gustafsson with two strong reserves
  23. If it's reduced terms then hopefully promoters get more of a say in how the meeting is run and not over run by the Sky crew
  24. If Sam Masters is lined up to sign you would think Troy Batchelor is the best option for a top two but PK is like the clubs fairy grandfather who keeps visiting every few years and is no doubt going to be thought of. Jason Doyle is a rider that can score well home and away and would leave enough for a rider to come in on a 5.00 average and give more depth to the team which looks to be important. At least they have two good reserves that should hold their own in most matches.
