  1. Any riders needing a visa to ride here will not be allowed double up and must decide which league to ride in. This comes about in January so signing any rider with a visa would be doing so as a gamble really. Chris Holder has done his deal to return to Poole for next season and it is likely another 8 point rider could join them in the new year even if it's not Darcy. Amazing how reading through the posts hardly any mention of Gracjzoneck and Milik despite both being key figures last season. Will they be two more added to the list of riders used once and then discarded with a high average ?
  2. They stay at reserve until they reach 21 and after that move into the main body of the team so he will be in Leszno's 1-5 while Piotr Pawlicki stays at reserve http://speedwayresults.com/rider.php?name=Tobiasz&surname=Musielak&type=Polish Ekstraliga&season=2014
  3. If Brad Kurtz needs a Visa to ride here he wouldn't be allowed to double up next season Holder looks nailed on to replace Ward Grajczonek and Milik back leaves the two places and it seems they are trying to talk to the same rider another Elite League club are trying to talk to and many of the others can't afford. Pirates need to build on the solid foundations of good second strings in Josh and Vaclav and the strongest fast track pairing in the league with Newman and Starke. If they don't win it in 2015 then the top end will have let them down.
  4. Berntzon 2/8/93 Musielak 18/8/93 Only born 16 days apart but Tobiasz has been one of a crowd of Polish youngsters progressing over the last five years and while some have fallen by the wayside as they do, he has moved on and if it wasn't for Poland having the likes of Kasprzak, Hampel, Kolodiej etc etc then I'm sure he would have ridden in the WTC just as Berntzon did as Sweden struggled to get a team together.
  5. Musielak is in fact much better than Berntzon and has been a prolific scorer at reserve for Leszno for a few years and improving each season while Berntzon has made big strides forward in 2014 and apart from a few meetings in Sweden and the WTC, it could be claimed Oliver is more 5.00 than 6.00 like Musielak. If all new foreigners came in on 6.00 then I can guess you would be the first on here when a new 5.00 rider suddenly gets given a 6.00 rider instead and no longer fits in the team Emil would be a great signing for any club but Wolves would be unlikely to meet his demands unlike the two clubs that have asked about his availability since he has backed out of the GP's once again. Would certainly be a great signing for British Speedway and before Bees fans get excited, you are not one of the two The issue over Piotr Pawlicki last season made Wolves think twice about using young Polish riders again, but they got on well with Piotr and he loved it at Monmore Green and if there was two Leszno riders travelling together and one being over 21, it could make a difference. The fans have let it be known they want to see him return at some stage and CVS and Adams revealed that they hadn't ruled him out of the plans for 2015. A heat leader partnership of Lindgren and Pawlicki would be as strong as most coming to the tapes next season and heats 13 and 15 can be vital and it may be worth the risk of bringing him back and hoping for the best. Lets face it, if it doesn't work out then Wolves wouldn't find it hard to find a replacement as they know a certain rider on a 7.03 average who could come in for the final weeks or months if required. Lasse Bjerre even on 4.67 looks a better bet than Proctor, Klindt or any rider upto 5.49
  6. Kasprzak has moved on so far in 2014 that he has along with Hancock, Pedersen and others realised that a less hectic race schedule and more stable fixture list is the way forward if you are to compete at the top level. While these riders may miss out on a certain amount of wages from not riding in Britain, they are more relaxed, focused and geared up to ride in the other competitions that it makes up for this and in scoring a few points more in each can earn just as much as a nights racing in Britain, so they are no better or worse off. Some like Fredrik Lindgren, Chris Holder and Chris Harris would rather ride more and have the hectic schedule but it doesn't usually help and in Holders case it's more a case of being race rusty and wanting to get in more race time. Coventry did well after a poor start to the 2014 season and in the end proved to be one of the best around and that in part was down to the sudden improvement in Chris Harris and the development of Kyle Howarth but above all it was a very strong reserve partnership in Garrity and Sarjeant that made them play off finalists. Howarth may be off to pastures new but they have done well (or rather fortunate) to get both fast track riders back for 2015 but things won't be the same next season as pretty much all eight starting teams have impressive reserves and even Poole with the outstanding Kyle Newman have improved now they have Paul Starke who was in my opinion was the best rider available in the second pick. If Coventry are to keep progressing they will either have to have more strength at the top or have a more solid backbone in the middle and its the middle order they have improved and this looks the best option as there is very little around that will improve the top end and some teams would gladly swap places in having Bomber and Hans.
  7. Tobiasz Musielak was due to ride in the Olympique but Swindon were the team that wanted him but put off by his assessed average of 6.00. He is no longer a reserve in Poland so that helps and is a friend of Piotr Pawlicki. Piotrs mechanic lived in England so maybe he would do the spanners for him ? Would be a good rider but a bit of a gamble and would leave 12.81 for the last two. Wonder if the plan was to track two new faces or this is instead of Bernzton ? But until it's announced two signed and clearly need a back up for Freddie
  8. Job share offer was for a number one position and that was never going to happen as he wasn't going to be number one with a 7.03 average and Lindgren is only interested in a full fixture list. Bridger Pedersen Woffinden How many more before tapes up ?
  9. Shared Roll Offer It has been mentioned that there was an offer for Tai to share the number one position with another rider. Firstly CVS and Petet Adams have both made comments on job sharing saying it was not a good idea and would rather have a rider committed to the full fixture list. Also the key part is it was an offer to share the #1 position. Unlikely to be available with a 34 point limit and Tai on such a low average and Fredrik Lindgren already said he would want to ride in all the fixtures to make it viable to set up for the season with bikes and mechanics. When the tapes go up in March lets see how many riders with a six plus average or greatwr are no longer ridibg here Tai Woffinden Bjarne Pedersen Lewis Bridger Let's see where the list goes to
  10. Riders can express an opinion and it is likely that the eight teams will have had some conversation with the Grade A riders and promoters should have an idea of who they want and the riders that would be happy to come. Kyle Newman and Lewis Kerr may well have gone in the system knowing thee are protected and don't want to ride elsewhere but Jason Garrity may be different and there has been rumours he doesn't want to be protected ? Could he get the move to Wolves after all ?
  11. Maybe it may be same old same old but PK as a second string with Freddie and Jacob !! There still may be a new face but they had hoped Bernzton would be the new kid on the block but that has changed and there is nothing you can do to stop it now. Maybe it may not be quite a new face but new to Wolverhampton
  12. Cameron Woodward is the typical team man that gives a yeam stability and a solid foundation to build on. At 6.32 he should be able to maintain that and be able to back up Bomber and ? While Howarth may have been sold, it doesn't mean that he won't be back and if Andersen Bomber Woodward and Barker sigb it would leave judt enough for Howarth or Hansen
  13. Think Tai will appear sometime during 2015 but who for ? Kings Lynn can retain most of their current team but it's unlikely they will get Kerr and Rose next season and have to settle on Kerr and whoever ? While Tai may find some benefit at riding for a Wednesday night track there is also the downside of maybe being based in Sweden and spending days before each GP preparing rather than in an airport If the commitment isn't there you are sogning a 6-7 point rider at best
  14. Think 40/60 is being optimistic and more likely it's 20/80 but the concern ia once the season starts will the phone go and a team wants to talk to Tai. Tai will get a lot of flack if he doesn't ride in Britain which is why he rode in 2014 but rather than knock the lad you only have to look at what the others are doing in the GP's. Tai has watched a 44 year ols win the world title, seen a rider finish second and win his national title and Nicki bounce back to the rostrum. AJ finished as possibly the strongest rider in the Series and only two of the top 8 were riding here in Britain. It really got to him losing the world title and his main aim is to win that back. So before comments are made then you have to ask why many more are looking at also dropping British Speedway next season and therefore riding every other day in Sweden and Poland plus other events Will be interesting to see how many teams can build to 34 points if riders like Iversen and Kildemand don't ride and the return of Lindgren and maybe Jonsson and Holder will only paper over the cracks and help out a few teams that will always survive like Wolves and Poole
  15. If Coventry protect Garrity and Kings Lynn protect Kerr, then Poole can't pinch Rose as Newman is higher ranked than both and there Coventry and Kings Lynn would pick before Poole in the second draft. There is Worrall Kerr Newman and Garrity are protected from Grade A and Ellis from Grade B. Wolves are not protecting and Jacobs but waiting to see who is available as they will likely get to pick before Coventry Poole Kings Lynn and Leicester at least.
  16. Woffinden will not be riding anywhere apart from Wolverhampton If he rides over here !
  17. It makes no difference on race nights as Freddie rides In Sweden on Tuesday and Thursday
  18. Wolves could protect Jacobs rather than Morris but if not I think Paul Starke would be their main target in the second draft followed by Nathan Greaves who has a connection with Sam Ermolenko
  19. Kings Lynn have to protect Kerr as they are unlikely to get a reserve that can match his scoring if they don't. Have to admit that I have heard a rumour that Kings Lynn have asked for permission to speak to Fredrik Lindgren but obviously Wolverhampton want him back as their number one. Would this be to line up alongside Iversen or as a replacement ? Geographical the Kings Lynn location is better for Stansted but Wolves will be favourites to land him should he return to British Speedway
  20. If Belle Vue protect Steve Worrall and Wolves land Lewis Blackbird as they get second pick behind Leicester, would they need to protect Jacobs as they could be one of the first to pick in the second draw and they could then possibly get to pick Paul Starke. Blackbird should be lower rated than Auty, Newman, Kerr, Garrity and Worrall and that should give them one from Starke, Jacobs, Sarjeant or Greaves who look the strongest in the second pot.
  21. Coventry can't protect Garrity as he is not their asset so he would be in the draw of Grade A riders and therefore should be picked by Leicester or Wolverhampton. If Coventry pick Jacobs or Sarjeant in the Grade B list then Wolves would be interested in either but if they have Garrity or Blackbird then they will be near the last to pick in the second draw and both should be snapped up by then. So Freddie is in talks ! Maybe the time is limited because another track want to talk to him but are waiting to see about another number one first ? As for accommodation well he would be in Poland on a Sunday and Sweden most Tuesdays and Thursdays so I am sure he could get a bed for a few hours on a Monday night before his flight back to Sweden. Would have thought Tai Woffinden would have been mentioned in the press release saying that they would look at both leading the team or do they already know Tai is unlikely to be back next season ? Three or four Swedes next season then are the targets in Freddie Jacob and Bernzton with PK not out of the picture. Still leaves just under seven for the last rider. So Garrity can be protected by Coventry but they would not be able to protect Sarjeant or Jacobs
  22. What happens if a club buys one of these riders before the draft ?
  23. There are to be 12 Grade A riders in the draft and the four not selected will be used as guests should any not be available. However if there are any teams changing a rider through injury then there will only be a couple of riders available to guest. So on a bank holiday what will happen if a team can't get a guest draft rider ? Will they be allowed to use a Premier League rider with a lower average ? Obviously providing they are British. Think the whole system should be under the guidance of at least three people and Morris and Vatcher being two along with someone like Peter Morrish or a referee that has been around for a while. Maybe even someone involved in a National League team like Gary Patchett or Chris Louis ?
  24. You can use one asset to be protected in the draft and most would be looking at protecting an asset in the Grade A selection. However if Leicester or Wolves owned the best assets in the Grade B selection group they would end up with the best two reserves by getting the first two picks for the Grade A riders taking into account Belle Vue would pick Steve Worrall. Coventry will have to pick the eighth Grade A rider due to Poole already having the protected Newman but they have good assets in the Grade B draft. Be more interesting to see how the 8 teams fill the five places with such a high limit considering how many riders over seven were here in 2014 and how many will be back in 2015 ?
